They were thorough and pleasant. They did everything with a minimum of supervision, including Cleaning the entire kitchen and the oven. They wiped down the kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well. The whole house is ready for painting, which starts tomorrow. This was a difficult job with a lot of moving parts. When they started, they were 15 people in the house at the same time. They had to work around the moving company that reset all the furniture in its place and go over places that they had already cleaned again. They were unflappable in their duty and worked around all the chaos going on in the apartment. For the amount of people and work involved, I felt the price was reasonable. This was not a cheap job, but it was worth it. The owner of the company, Richard, was pleasant to work with throughout and was always immediately responsive to all of my anxieties about whether they would show up and on time, etc., etc. . Specifically, I requested the baseboard be done as well as the dust knocked off the walls. I was told the baseboards were done twice, but they look like they weren't touched and everything was shoved into the corner of the baseboards which was very frustrating. Clothes that were on the closet floor were just shoved further back into the closet. 'Deep clean' to me entails way more work than was done. They arrived at my home at 8am and they were gone by 10:30 which is insane for a deep clean. I was preoccupied because I work from home and could not do a walkthrough of the house when advised it was completed. Once I finally did, I realized that I would now need to do much more cleaning myself, after the deep clean was completed. The price was reasonable and I did tip Ray, but for what I received vs what I requested did not meet my expectations at all. I would rather be charged more. I pulled out an extra $100 for the service but did not end up giving it to Bonnie's Maids because in my opinion, they did not do a deep clean or a suitable job. As Ray has so kindly responded to this after calling me and telling me I was too harsh, although I was just being honest - I am editing to add to his reply. There were multiple communications with Ray before the cleaning. Not once was an expectation that everything needed to be off the floor. I have had deep cleans in the past that took care of EVERYTHING. Hence: DEEP clean. Also wondering why this is a requirement when you didn't even sweep or mop the floors, but I digress. I glanced out of my room and said it looked okay, we did not do a full walkthrough. Again, I was working. Your sloppiness in all these areas absolutely have nothing to do with me being unprepared for the cleaning. Since I bake a ton I was especially excited that he was able to clean our very dirty oven. He cleaned around the windows, unclogged the drains in our bathroom, and showed us how to prevent the calcium stains in our shower by getting a filter (sprite is one brand name and aquabliss is also a competitor) to add on the pipe before the shower head. He cleaned on top of armoires, cluttered countertops even when I said not to worry about it- "it can't be TOO clean". He vacuumed the whole house including the couch. I think he was here for at least 4 hours. I was feeling slightly exhausted watching him go at a steady pace the whole time. The baby, husband and dogs all took a nap or two in this time He even took the knobs off the oven to clean them and dusted all the fans. We were very pleased! If there is anything you think Ray can do better, he asks at multiple times to check the different areas as he gets done cleaning. You can tell he really wants you to be happy because I noticed later that the window he had cleaned had some dried water spots and he went back to fix it happily with no complaints. Probably with any cleaning service it helps to tell them what you are hoping to be achieved and then remind them person so they have a chance to make it great.
