The kid working there came out of the back room, looked away from us and spent ten minutes wiping the back counter, moving things around, shuffling papers, didn't say a word to us. And then returned to the back room. We looked at each other, laughed, and hopped back into the car to head a bit farther down the road to Graeter's ice cream. Once again, completely disappointed. It is now been five weeks since they started their remodel and three weeks where they have been unable to do the simple act of selling me a hotdog. The roller is still broken. No sign that anyone there cares that they're losing sales. Half the gas pumps were broken when I was in yesterday. This is a business that just doesn't give a crap. I don't know how it can look so beautiful and have such horrible service and failure to perform. And I'm upset that it is impossible to post this review with zero stars. Why work as a cashier if you're going to be insanely rude? Didn't even greet me, slamming everything, huffing and puffing. I won't be back.

I come here regularly because it's near my home and is on my regular route to a lot of places. I do like their self-service coffee area. They have good kettle danishes (my husband's favorite). They have a decent selection of beverages. My biggest complaint is that this location typically doesn't have their Wednesday freebies stocked on the shelves or in the coolers, even at 6am. I got lucky once that they had the item behind the cash register, but that's a pain to remember to ask every time I don't see it on the shelf. I have gotten an affogato at their coolside area, which is tasty, but I think maybe they need to understand that drink isn't supposed to be 24 ounces of ice cream and espresso together. I was having an ice cream craving and stopped in to get some. There were two ladies behind the ice cream counter helping a young boy, then one left, I think to work the register. The second lady with long brown hair in a ponytail was left to make two shakes, she never acknowledged me. I waited and waited. When she was finally done, I asked for a couple samples of new flavors to try and then she said I had to order on the iPad!?!?! Just as I was handed my two samples, two people started ordering off one iPad and four ordered off the other one, which meant that I would have to wait for six people to get their ice cream before me!!! I was told all orders had to go through the iPad, which I thought was stupid! I left with nothing! read more

Eww and Slow service 8/7/23 pretty sure this is a health code violation. No hairnets and literally inside the ice cream container, no gloves on and there's clearly gloves available to wear on the counter. This is gross. Be prepared for little human interaction as you order the ice cream yourself and the people are basically robots behind the counter who are not friendly. The cashier checking people out was slower than all get out. Ended up waiting in line for 20 minutes just to pay for the ice cream that was literal soup. I paid for the extra dip for the milkshake to be extra thick. It was a milk-soup. Gross. Stay away. read more

*BING BONG* This is probably the nicest/newest UDF in Cincinnati *BING BONG* Has grab and go food including sandwiches and fruit, even hot *BING BONG* Excuse me *BING BONG* Sorry, as I was say *BING BONG* Hot sandwiches as well as typical ice cream and all the convenience store stuff, and doughnuts, etc. *BING BONG* I'd actually give it a 5 star rating (big praise for a gas station) if it wasn't for the LOUDEST door chime I've ever *BING BONG* Heard. It chime every time a door opens, and the front door opens about the same times as the side/cafe door. If you won't change it for your employees' sanity, do it for the customers. Easily one of the most annoying customer experiences I can think of. I was getting ice out of the freezer and the damn alarm goes off in there too! *BING BONG* No I could see in the middle of the night and there's only 1-2 employees, and one might be stocking in the back or something. Turn it on after 12am or something. There were probably 12-15 customers in the store. That's roughly 24-30 *BING BONG*s at the highest volume just for the few minutes I was there. This isn't a status quo that should be acceptable. Someone in upper management/customer service at UDF, spend an afternoon at the Mt. Love this location for service and treats but as far as getting gas goes, ugh. It is a very small corner lot with 4 pumps that gets very busy and TIGHT. If you see several cars, just avoid at all costs and go to the BP up the street or UDF at the bottom of the Beechmont hill. If you can avoid the traffic nightmare of the super small parking lot, the service is always very friendly. I think most of the workers are teens, which I love seeing. They're all very friendly and nice. I've been in at all hours of the day and the coffee stations are always clean, ice cream tables neatly placed. Recently, we stopped in for ice cream treats and the guy making our floats and dips did a great job telling us about the deals and offering us our 2nd scoop free with promotion. My root beer float had a great root beer-ice cream ratio and my kiddo loved her regular chocolate dip that was far too big for her to finish. Hubs enjoyed his toffee chip! I feel like fuel prices are always fair here, if you get around the parking lot size issue. read more

Best ice cream. Live this place SO MUCH. I was happy to have their Peppermint Chocolate Chip in milk shake form. I did my usual extra special touches and ask that it be made with chocolate milk instead of plain and that they please add chocolate syrup. That's right, I had a Chocolate Peppermint Shake and it was perfect. The seasonal flavors were on sale - $2.99 for a large. I shared it with my son and we both had full bellies at the end of it. Stopped in on the way home to pick up a few things. Got coffee from the self serve area. Woman had NO mask on, not even under her chin!!!! To say I was flabbergasted was an understatement. It took EVERYTHING I had not to make a scene to yell at her for not having one on, when signs on BOTH entrances clearly say masks are required inside. As much as I like this new location, I am now very hesitant to go in when the set up/layout doesn't permit the employees to see what's going on in all parts of the store. It's so disappointing that this brand new UDF is so terrible. Every single person I've come in contact with since this store has opened has been not pleasant, rude, and straight disrespectful. Is the management here trying to hire people to make this store look bad? Ordered a milkshake yesterday, there were about four other orders. Guy making it slams it on the top of the counter and walks away. Another customer almost took it because there was zero indication of what number or whose order it was. I finally asked to be met with an eye roll and extreme attitude before him announcing my number. So thanks dude the milk shake not only tasted like trash but you were also so rude. Not to mention nothing here is every stocked on the shelves but you either see the inventory in boxes blocking isles waiting to be put away or in the cooler/freezer labeled what your looking for but can't access because nobody has bothered to put it out. read more

UDF built a new bigger store across the street on Burney Ave. The store looks awesome, but good luck buying anything. The gas station pumps never work. I've tried getting gas here 4 different times and it seems they have no interest in fixing the issues. On the inside, it's hit or miss. They appear to have a stocking issue. I tried to get a bottle of water here once but they were completely out of bottled water. Friends have shared similar stories with alcoholic beverages out of stock. read more
