For the first two years our experiences were pretty pleasant: nice tellers that recognize you, and go above and beyond to help out. In the last couple of years, however, things have changed. New faces all the time, high turnover is always a red flag, and rule rather than customer oriented. Last year we had one of our accounts compromised, and instead of helping us out, it felt like they made it harder to figure everything out. Endless trips to the branch to prove who we were, " your husband need to come with you" when I was just there the day before, with my ID. In short is was very unhelpful and all the rules were more of a hindrance than helpful. They used to have a video teller service which was very convenient, but when they discontinued that service, again the results were more inconvenience to us. Checks which had been issued and accepted for years were placed on holds because they couldn't find any records of deposit. This time enough is enough and we are moving on. Unless you enjoy being hassled by your banker, my advice, don't patronize these guys. Bad news.

They offer a warranty with their financing which seems pretty good. They promptly fixed the chips in the windshield the day I took the car home, Two days later they covered the battery the car needed for free even though it didn't come covered in the warranty. Automatic payments make it easy for me, I like the overall structure of the plans they have. They have plenty of cars to choose from on their lot though and I found something perfect for me that meets my needs. I have had the car 10 days and so far so good. Solid car, and I have piece of mind with the warranty. The only reason they did not get 5 stars from me is there is really no haggle room with pricing, a little high, and they are ruthless when you try. They have called me a few times to check up on me and see how the car is. customer service is good even after the sale which is amazing. Will update this as needed, as I have an ongoing relationship with them.

My mom and I came in here around 4:15 PM (they close at 5:00) to take care of adding me to her account as a beneficiary/joint person in case something were to happen to her. We hand over our IDs to the teller and after hanging out for a few minutes - he lets us know that that service can only be done by appointment. We asked - even as a beneficiary? Yup. So a process that in many more advanced systems is an online form requires you to schedule an appointment even though they have several employees waiting around. So unbelievably frustrating! My mom closed her accounts awhile back and recently moved back to the area - when she did, she was re-added to my accounts because she was on several years ago when I was a minor. We asked if we could get that taken care of there? No. Also by appointment only. So we had to take additional time off work because the latest appointment offered is 3:45?! I wouldn't show up to the bank without an appointment and explicit outlines ahead of time of what you need because GNCU is definitely not customer centered.
