Listen I'm from the Midwest. We don't have anything like this where I live. So please know I don't…read morehave a whole lot of comparison. But what the heck is going on here!! It's like a health spa palace. It's unreal and feels like a healthy boogie city. There's a restaurant with every healthy food item you can think of and some unhealthy to boot. A spa and salon, two large indoor pools, hot tub, two massive outdoor pools, water slides, lawn chairs, cabanas and table areas. Oh did I mention it has child care, group fitness and every matching known to man. Plus this place is clean! The locker rooms have a bathroom buffet of Q tips, cotton balls, razors, mouthwash, shampoo, body wash, conditioner. I've never seen anything like it in my life. So from my perspective this place is the Disney land of health clubs. We spent our day at the outdoor pools when I visited and I never wanted to leave. It's a pretty price at $200 a month- I think I paid less in rent in the 90s. But, shit if you like a clean place with frills this it!

Very disappointed with Life Time Gainesville. The facilities are excellent and some of the best in…read morethe area, but the management is extremely poor. The general manager was disrespectful, dismissive, and unprofessional when addressing concerns. Instead of resolving issues properly, the response felt defensive and unhelpful. For a high-end club, the leadership falls far below expectations.

You receive a personalized level of coaching and oversight while in a small group setting. If you are thinking about trying it out, this is your spot! The groups are highly supportive and encouraging and not full of over zealous muscle heads; no egos! There is a strong sense of community and we all are on this journey together.

I have been a member of CrossFit Vint Hill since May 2020. There are many great things to say about…read morethis gym, so I will do my best to name a few. For starters , the gym is a family-owned business, which gives off the vibe of familial belongingness. From the many social events CFVH has put together over the years, the owners have done their best to keep the feeling of a close-knit community that everyone can rely on. Next comes the programming. CFVH has been well above par when it comes to programming and keeping it interesting. I've been doing CrossFit off and on since 2016 and I must say that the programming that CFVH offers keeps me wanting more. From the weightlifting, the gymnastics, and the AMRAP and METCONs in-between, the programming never bores and i haven't felt burnt out in over 3.5 years of being at CFVH. The facilities and gym equipment is next. Never have I seen a cleaner, more organized CrossFit gym. I've seen rusted and broken equipment (to be fair, I was overseas at the time), equipment strewn everywhere, chalk all over the place, and bathrooms a mess at other gyms. But not CFVH. The equipment is top of the line, always working, and plenty of it readily available for your workout needs. Lastly, but just as important as the other points, are the coaches. They work tirelessly to make sure new members understand the workout standards, and offer up their expertise if scaling becomes an option. Not once have I seen a coach ridicule anyone, talk down to anyone, or set them up for failure. I have seen the coaches boost one another up, motivate members, and help them achieve things they have never done before (example- rope climbs and muscle ups). All in all, you won't find a better CrossFit gym in the NOVA area. If I could give CFVH 10 stars, I would.

The first time I came in was to get some info about what they had to offer and I met Scott, who was extremely friendly and helpful. He did not pressure me at all, which is what I prefer, especially when I consider my experiences with your typical gyms. He gave me the info I need and told me to come back when I'm ready. One thing he mentioned was the Introduction to Crossfit two week program that teaches you the basics of Crossfit, all for free. The "box" is one of the nicer ones I've seen and they have plenty of equipment for the various workouts they conduct. They keep it clean, but it has a little wear and tear, which I like to call character. It tells me that people use the facility and plenty of sweat has been broken here. One cool thing I like is that they have a kids area so parents can get in a workout and not have to get a babysitter. This is critical because kids can be an anchor or an excuse for not exercising. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming the kiddos, but this day in age it's a hard balance. By having the kids area it helps alleviate that problem and/or excuse. From the research I've done the prices for their various membership programs are competitive to higher priced, but I think you'll get your money's worth no matter what you decide to do. Speaking of, they have lots of options from punchcards to a yearly plan and savings for families and college students. Make sure you check them out: http://crossfitdurable.com/monthly-membership/ I'm still trying to figure if I'm going to jump in, but the free community workouts have given me some motivation and something to think about. My only concern is how many tribal tattoos will I come away with ;)

The coaches showcase incredible energy, knowledge, motivation and professionalism. The lead trainer, Scott M, is a phenomenal programmer (creator of the workouts) and mentor to all CFD coaches. Along with stellar coaches: the gym (AKA "box) is clean, organized and smartly laid out. To top things off: the atmosphere and mix of athlete is varied to which all are welcomed. All walks off life celebrate and support each other. On any given day, you'll find college students right along side, and encouraging, the "Soccer Mom" or "Corporate Dad, or even the retired empty "Nester". Just let the product, staff and community speak for itself. CFD offers FREE Saturday morning (9:30am) community workouts. No sign ups, no prerequisites: just show up, sweat a little (or a lot) and see what you think. I only wish Yelp offered more stars...CFD deserves it! Erik Z
