This program may have worked ages and decades ago before common core but it is now pointless. The way this program is marketed is COMPLETELY misleading. This is NOT a tutoring type of program. I repeat, it is NOT a tutoring program. This program is intended to show the student other methods of working out problems not aiding them in understanding the material. For starters, they will not place your child i the area that needs work. No that's far too easy and will not generate enough revenue for them. They will start your child from the beginning of math regardless their age and grade. Yep, they're starting at first grade level that you have to pay $250 for monthly for ONE subject. They have to go through weeks of material of EACH GRADE level and must be completed within their ideal time allotment. If the answers are correct but the student exceeds the time allotment, the practice work will be extended for more weeks. The people "grading" the students' papers are probably about 16/17 years of age. I had my child in this program about 11 months before I had enough and pulled him out. It became a burden rather than an aid. Even at the 11 month mark the farthest he got for whichever excuse I was given was 4th grade. In normal daily class environment, the teachers want to see the work they did to obtain an answer. This program basically penalizes them for doing what the school system actually encourages. It is a scam, highly overpriced for what it is. I highly encourage all parents seeking out help for their children to hire a real actual experienced tutor. This is not what it seems, not what it's marketed to be and not what the program coordinator makes it out to be upon initial "interview".

I was short on practical portion by 3 points both attempts. Stateboard requires 40 remedial hours before i can do 3rd attempt for exam. I called Florida DBPR and they stated that the remedial hours could be from any certified school. TEC offers a re-certification course of not 40 but 100 hours!!!! For an amazing price $270. Miss Martinez is an amazing cosmetology teacher. In 2 weeks I have learned so much. I am cutting with no assistance and feel more confident. So if you're looking into cosmetology or perhaps you failed your exam or just need to refresh your skills I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! Thank God I have the PayByPhone app ( which I highly recommend ) so I parked and walked to what I thought it was the main entrance. It was closed and we are supposed to use another entrance and I didn't know where this was. So I walked across the building and I asked a lady that looked as an employee, well she was, and nicely she helped me and told me how to get there. You have to check in with security first, then use the stairs of the garage across the street, to go to the third floor and then follow all the signs until you reach the science fair desk. The good part was; how helpful everyone was, how many signs they had so I can get there ( more than 10, I swear ) and see how hard people work towards our kids' education. I'm glad to be part of it. Both were taught by instructors that pretty much used the book as their guide and provided no extra instruction. More often than not the classes were ended way before the scheduled end time (which meant that I only got 50% of class time for my money. You're much better off just buying the books and taking the online tests than wasting your time and money on these courses. Don't throw your money away on this.

In addition, they have great teachers that are willing to help you with any problems you may have. The professor that's teaching my class if very good, friendly and willing to help you whenever you have a problem. No joke, she gives you her cell phone to call her whenever. The study materials are plenty and you'll never run out of practice questions and tests. In fact, I'll probably give away my extra books to students who need them. I have been studying with Kaplan for a little over a month, and I have noticed a substantial increase in my average score -- I was averaging 145 and now I'm up to 155. However, the increase in your average score will depend on how much you're willing to put into the course and time you set aside for studying. Although the study experience is great, the classroom experience is not. Since Kaplan is independent from FIU they switch classes everyday, and you'll always find yourself in a different room with different desks -- tiny desks are a bitch. Also, the rooms are kept below freezing, and I have to bring a parka just to stay warm. I haven't had any other problems besides the situation in the classrooms, though. I definitely recommend this course for anyone who is thinking about taking the LSAT. It will absolutely help you study and raise your average score. If you are going to sign up for the class at FIU, make sure you take it with Deborah Osborn.
