If you are a fan of the Huntington Collection in Pasadena, you'll be sure to love the Bargain Box. Just like the Huntington Collection, I can't call it a thrift shop since it's not like any thrift shops I've been to! Looks more like an expensive antique shop when you step inside. I was blown away by the quality of the available merchandise, especially the housewares and decor. It's very evident that all of the pieces on sale were meticulously cleaned and staged by the hardworking staff. All of the furniture and housewares are excellent condition, not to mention very well priced. Make a point to visit before Halloween! The store is all decked out with Halloween decor! The Bargain Box is managed by the Assistance League of Arcadia, and one of their worthy endeavors is Operation School Bell, which provides much needed clothing as well as school supplies such as backpacks and books to children in need in neighboring local schools. There's a small parking lot but there should be plenty of street parking available if needed. Also, be aware that the store has limited hours since it's managed by volunteers. It's only open two days a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 10am to 1pm.

I am slowly replacing items we lost in the Eaton fire, and not only did I find some nice jewelry pieces, they had a lovely vintage Hawaiian dress that brought back a flood of nostalgic memories. On top of that, J and R were so kind and gave me some items to help us on our rebuilding journey. They showed remarkable kindness and warmth to a random customer, and they really were a highlight of my week! They took time out of their day to listen and make recommendations, and their store is a real oasis of treasures and positivity. Of course, I wanted to tag along with Jun! The Huntington Collection is not just a place for thrifting... it really is a collection of vintage items such as furniture, jewelry, clothing, shoes, books, etc. Check out this shop for interesting merchandise!
