They proceeded to ring up my purchase but then told me they would never sell beer to me again, and that my coworker would not be welcome either. My coworker that received the 'tip' is not friends with the staff, nor does he go their frequently. He was their last week and one of the clerks leaned in and told him the brews might be available. I have no clue why they acted so rude towards me for asking. My only assumption is the workers wanted to save the brews for themselves. I would have much rather been told they didn't have it than be treated this way. That's okay, despite being threatened to be able to shop there again, I don't want to ever again. No matter what beer they have available. I HIGHLY recommend management discover both female workers on shift today at 4:15 and let them know it's not okay to treat paying customers this way. When you walk in the checkout area is to the left, not sure if they get robbed often or what but the whole checkout area is completely behind glass. There are coolers to the back and along the right side, and warm beer on shelves across from the coolers. The selection is decent with the usual national and regional brands, as well as some of the more local breweries represented. Not much in the way of service as the employees all stayed at the checkout counter and were not terribly sociable during checkout. Overall, the place is decent, but not as good as other stores in the area

The sales associates on the floor are very knowledgeable; they don't just work there, they actually know what they are talking about which is very helpful. The have wine tasting on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They also offer classes to learn about wine.

Upon entering the store, i headed to what I thought was the correct area. 2 different employees walked past and spoke to me as they walked by. I thought that was pretty nice. Then a third one went past and asked if they could help me. I told her what I was looking for and she walked me to it. I am happy she did. She showed me where the help wanted button was that I didn't see and that also wasn't labeled. But since she walked me back and identified it for me it was ok. Then an employee came back and helped me. She was very nice and pleasant and said she would have my order up front at the registers. Even the cashier was both nice and friendly. Each employee I encountered gave me a high level of customer service. I also liked the fact that the store was very neat and clean and very organized. I can tell by this location that customer service is very important to this company.

There was a small selection of liquor on sale that was the warehouse closeout on one side of the store, and it was not that impressive. I did end up getting a nice Kentucky bourbon small barrel whiskey for a great price, and some non alcoholic beer for Super Bowl Sunday. This is an outdated old liquor store that is not like other 21st Amendment stores that I have been to before. The selection of beer is Ok, but not impressive. The liquor selection is Ok, and the wine selection is mediocre. The staff are not that helpful and appear to be bored and not interactive, so if you need assistance or have questions, you are out of luck. I would not come back here again personally just because the selection of products is mediocre and not really worth the time to spend looking for a bottle of liquor or beer. The staff are in their own little world and not available to help at a moment's notice, so that alone tells me not to come back here again. They have all the wine labeled with ratings, including staff recommendations, so it is easy to pick out a good bottle of wine. The prices are reasonable because they buy in bulk and pass the savings on to the customer. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, without being pushy. I don't hesitate to ask for help. The staff gets to know you after you visit enough. I also like to buy their gift baskets, which make perfect house warming or hostess gifts. They generally have several premade baskets, but I like to have them custom made from items that I select in the store. (You can even bring your own basket.) Baskets generally take a day or two to make up, depending on the time of year. I also like to buy gift cards for my wine drinking friends' birthdays or retirements. The shop is eclectic, cozy and upscale. They offer private parking which is a plus in downtown Zionsville where parking is at a premium. The staff will help carry you wine to the car if you need. Grapevine Cottage is well worth a visit.

They do have big rooms of impressive wines, but they also had a fridge of unique sakes in cute individual containers (including a sake juice box). There was also a wall of imported and unique beers from around the world. I found a bag of organic tagliatelle from Italy and some cool Italian chocolates that I got for my family. The owners were nice and recommended the risotto mixtures for my next visit. Can't wait to come back!

I got to the door before 1am which is the scheduled time to close and the doors were already locked with customers on the inside along with the employee with the employee that wears the bonnet to work and they are screaming, oh we closed and would NOT let me in. I've tried to not bad mouth them, but at this point, yall need to hire better workers that have respect for your customers that pays yall bills! All the wine was discounted 20% so I ended up paying less than 90 bucks for 10 bottles of nice wine. The best part of my experience was when the cashier (who I assume was the owner) carried all my wine out to my car for me! He could tell it would be a lot for me o carry, so he picked up the case and walked out with me. All in all, great selection and even better customer service. I will be back!
