My first time here. I happened to be in the neighborhood and heard so much about this place. They have Everything! Not just wine, but all liquor, beer, mixes and premade cocktails. I was looking for a specific tequilla... and they had it! Not only that they had several tequilas open for tasting so I was able to find a new tequila that is good tasting and very smooth. The sales associates on the floor are very knowledgeable; they don't just work there, they actually know what they are talking about which is very helpful. I had the opportunity to visit the 86th street Total Wine & More today. Living farther north, I usually visit the Carmel location. Since I was in the area, I thought I would give it a try. I was totally taken aback by the level of customer service I was provided. Upon entering the store, i headed to what I thought was the correct area. 2 different employees walked past and spoke to me as they walked by. I thought that was pretty nice. Then a third one went past and asked if they could help me. I told her what I was looking for and she walked me to it. I am happy she did. She showed me where the help wanted button was that I didn't see and that also wasn't labeled. But since she walked me back and identified it for me it was ok. Then an employee came back and helped me. She was very nice and pleasant and said she would have my order up front at the registers. Even the cashier was both nice and friendly. Each employee I encountered gave me a high level of customer service. I also liked the fact that the store was very neat and clean and very organized. This store is amazing. I love coming here for wine. They sometimes have tastings going on in the store to where you can try different products. They do have a rewards club to where you can earn points on your purchases. The customer service is great. The workers are always willing to help. I love how they have classes which I haven't tried a class yet but they do fill up pretty quickly especially since the price is very reasonable. Now THIS is a liquor store. Holy guacamole! I'll be working near here in the next few weeks (crazy!), so I have been trying to familiarize myself with all that Nora has to offer. And let me share with you what my friend shared with me: people have been sleeping on Nora! I was only an observer as I didn't purchase anything, but this place is impressive. Aisle after aisle filled with all sorts of liquid elixir. This liquor store has more German beers than most stores have beer altogether. There seems not actual discount offers which is surprising for such a large store obvious incapable of moving along select beer and similar that has a shorter shelf life. I feel like kid in a candy store any time I go into Total Wine. And as the name says...there's more...so much more!! The store is fun to visit. Just looking at the displays is entertaining. Then there's the tasting stations. I've had the opportunity to taste various liquors and wines that's I wouldn't have known about otherwise. My favorite part of the store, though, is the craft beer section where you can make your own 6 pack. Okay, I have ordered on line for pick up every week since the pandemic , each order is over $100.00. Recently I have noticed I get a pending charge when I place the order and then ANOTHER when it is filled. I realize they are pending, but why the change? It's true! This place is a boozy (and now alcohol free spirit) treasure chest! You'll find aisles upon aisles of specific spirits like vermouth, nocino, craft beer, holiday wines, Indiana spirits and more. It's also worth noting that they have a non-alcohol spirits section that appears to be growing (smart business move!). During my recent visit, the staff was both friendly and helpful while I was trying to navigate the store and locate some specific bottles. The store is very clean and well organized - and tasteful, might I add. I haven't had a chance to check one out for myself but it looks like on most days they host a variety of tastings at a mini bar within the store. My brother was in town and I had received a flyer in the mail for the new Total Wine & More in Nora. The prices looked almost too good to be true in the flyer. They offered on-line ordering and curbside pickup, so we were all in. To order on line, you must create an account. After the account is set up, ordering is easy. They offer lots of wines, a selection of liquors and some craft and domestic beers. Special pricing was offered on advertised products. We ordered a selection for pickup the next morning. We received an email that evening letting us know our order was ready for pick up. We arrived on time at 9:00 am and parked in the special pick up spaces. We were the only ones waiting and a clerk arrived immediately at our car with our order. He was wearing a mask and cheerfully put our order in the back of our truck. He also brought us free bourbon glasses with the coupon from the flyer that came in the mail. So easy. They are open for in store shopping as well. After seeing so many excited reviews pour in for this place, we decided to go check it out on a Friday night during quarantine... what else are you going to do?! We went in, fully intending to just pick up a cool, new local beer to try. However, we were surprised when we walked in and saw people galore, holiday music, and awesome displays everywhere. First of all, this store is HUGE. The displays are so fun and festive, and there's pop-up tastings throughout (there's glass between you and the staff person doing the tastings). We tried two whiskies and loved exploring drinks from all over the world, as well as ones from all over the Midwest and from our state. Total Wine is like Toys R Us for adults: So many wonderful things to covet on every aisle. While I was there, I literally wanted to do that thing that you see on TV commercials and in movies, where the person twirls around in delight, head back and smiling and arms wide, while surrounded by beautiful things. Total Wine is exactly what we need during this pandemic, and I'm so glad it's opening up near me. You will find so much wine here. So much. It's almost overwhelming. But luckily, there are lots of employees around who are happy (seriously happy -- like, ebullient) to help you find what you need. My visit included looking for an alcohol-filled advent calendar, but alas, I was told that they didn't have any yet. But I did find a great bottle of cabernet sauvignon, a great six-pack of local beer, and a four-pack of Italian wine spritzers that I've been searching for for a long time. They have so many things here! This place makes me so happy. Total Wine also has a tasting area, where you can taste local beers (and I think wine?). There is also a room where classes happen, and a small area for cigars and things like that. They also sell small nibbly things that pair well with adult beverages, like crackers, chocolates, olives, imported snacks, etc. I'm so happy that we have a Total Wine in the area now! This is a magical place, I had never heard of it until a friend said. Omg total wine is coming to Indy! I said great, what is that? I mean I can make a stab with the name but please tell me more. We decided to go on the grand opening day and I was impressed, it's essentially a massive alcohol store and the selection is insane. Wines, beers, liquors, seltzer's, the works! What's even better is most of the selection is cheaper than what you typically see at other stores. The customer service was awesome! I was able to receive a lot of recommendations and directions to things that I like. Another great perk was there was a lot of samples being given out, and it's always fun to try alcohol selections. I came bright and early and was excited to see they were open at 9, what was even more exciting was to find out they were doing tastings as well! Needless to say running errands for my short term company I was winning in the moment. The lady and man handing out samples also helped me find a new tequila which had recently been imported from Mexico. According to him they were the only store (he knew of) in Indiana who carried it. Another thing I love about the story is how helpful the employees can be. Yes you have your few who will turn and walk away as to not help but the ones who don't are fantastic! One of the employees was willing to climb up on top of the shelves, move about 50 different cases around just to find the 12 bottles of a specific wine I was looking for. Needless to say I stopped him and went with something else but I truly appreciated he was willing and going to do. There are no signs anywhere that says they card everyone at the checkout (even if you're not buying anything). They carded me and my husband (clearly older than 21). As I emerged from my pandemic hibernation, celebration was quite necessary. There's hardly a better way to mark the end of a bad year than with a strong libation and a good, robust smoke. I knew Total Wine & More was a special place the moment I entered, especially considering its gargantuan size and massive inventory. Despite its size, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff members are everywhere throughout the well-organized store - and they cater to the customer's every need. I'm not a wine expert, and other than prosecco, I rarely drink it. To highlight Total Wine & More's excellent selection, I visited the store to purchase a gift for someone who favors German wine. The store has an entire section of the sort, and I was able to buy the perfect bottle, based on the recommendation of a staff member. My personal interest is the spirit world - not in the supernatural and such, but in meandering through a wide array of scotches and bourbons. And, let me tell you, dear reader, we're talking walls of it. They've got the good stuff from Kentucky; they've got it from Indiana, and they've got it from Japan. Who could forget the variety from Scotland? They've got a fine selection of Islays (my personal favorite), but of course, you'll find all the Campbeltown, Highland, Lowland and Speyside varieties you desire. After hearing all the cool kids talk about how awesome Total Wine & More is, I finally had some time during a 3-day weekend to head on over to Nora and check out the place for myself. Total Wine & More is a national chain that is fairly new to Central Indiana. It was started in 1991 and currently has 214 superstores across 26 states. This particular location had the challenge of opening during the pandemic, but it sure seems to have risen to the challenge. Each location is estimated to carry around 8,000 different wines from around the world along with 2,500 beers and around 3,000 other types of spirits. If you've ever wanted to get your first drunk, this is the place to start. This particular strip center was renovated following the closure of Marsh and now houses Aldi and Total Wine in that space. There's accessible parking (it could use a bit more) and appropriate curb cuts. The doors are automatic. As I entered, there was a security officer at the door. I'm not sure if that's a regular thing or if it's a pandemic "wear your mask" thing. Regardless, they were there. I'd best describe the experience of entering as, well, intoxicating. the atmosphere is warm and inviting. There are stations where you can sample and there's a room in the back where they hold classes (I have no idea if classes are currently going on, but there's a calendar). They include wine classes, beer classes, etc. You're immediately greeted by wine and more wine. And more wine. There's so much wine that I half expected to meet Ralph and Wendy Whiner. They had multiple cash registers open much to my surprise - everyone was super friendly and management was helpful. If you don't look at least 40, you're going to get carded. Sadly, I did not get carded. Sigh. I was super impressed with how many Indiana-based brews were available AND quite often several different types of beer for each brewer. I ended up buying a 4-pack of Quaff On! Brewing Company's Java the Red, a Coffee Red Ale that I'm drinking as I type this (can you tell?). I will also note that they have the largest selection of non-alcoholic beers that I've seen anywhere. It's an amazing selection. However, if you're easily triggered being around alcohol be aware that it's toward the back and you'll definitely pass by quite a bit of other products to get to it. They have a rewards club that you can sign up for quickly at the cash register by using a phone number and signing up with an e-mail. They also ask you for your first name only. Prices were quite often lower than many other places I've seen local brews carried including the mass retailers. They do have an app you can download. They do have a statement on their website about not serving minors - while that's obviously the law, they make it pretty clear they take it seriously. That said, I really do like the idea that you can sample a bit. Sometimes, I really want to support local but am not completely sure. I also will often target a specific taste, but it's nice to try some options first. Social distancing is currently being enforced - that said, I'd definitely say they're more crowded than you might expect for an alcohol-specific superstore. So, the odds that you're going to go down an aisle and not run into anyone are fairly slim. Seriously, I was quite impressed. Amazing selection, great prices, terrific customer service, and staff who are knowledgeable about the products they sell. If you had a grocery store that was dedicated to beer, wine, and liquor, you would call it Total Wine & More! This place is huge when compared to most liquor stores. But unlike buying liquor at a grocery, here the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The selection as you might guess is huge and the prices very reasonable! I won't promise they will have everything you need, but this is sure a good place to start. They even have rewards programs and classes for those who want to learn more about the products offered here. I live an hour away, otherwise, I would be intrigued by the options! The store wasn't swamped when we entered, but it was quite busy and they had enough check out stations open to make that process quick too! Because it is in a shopping center, we found a spot close to the entrance. And the parking is free too! Our friends took a little longer since they were going through the aisles of wine. I was simply looking at liqueurs and though I didn't find the particular flavor of brandy that I was looking for, I grabbed a bottle of sloe gin that was put to use later in the evening. The staff offered to help me find what I missed, but since I already had one bottle, I decided that was enough for the day. Friendly staff, good selection and prices made for a pleasant experience. Granted these were limited release beers, BUT I made sure to check online as soon as the store open and they were in stock and available online. Over five hours later, I got a call stating one of my beers, the one I was really looking forward to, was canceled because they ran out and demand was too high. I find this unacceptable. I had already placed my order and paid for it when inventory was available. My bottle should have been pulled at that time. Waiting over 5 hours and then just canceling the order is poor customer service. I guess that what I should expect from this big box store though. I was told I needed to call back to fulfill the rest of the order, which I did. The person spoke with had no interest in speaking to me or informed me my order was already ready. Total Wine is no joke man. It is probably one of the most comprehensive stores I have been to. They are especially strong in wines and spirits, but also have a great selection of beers. Their shelves are so well-stocked I doubt you wouldn't find anything you were looking for. What stood out to me about Total Wine are the prices. Their prices just came across as consistently lower than other places. This is especially true with beers and similar products. Since I lean toward beers than other beverages, I enjoyed looking through the craft singles selections. You can build your own six-packs or even buy single bottles (something you can't always do at other stores). They also have a decent selection of mini liquor bottles in case you want to try before committing to a full buy. As far as I know, they have weekly tastings from Thursday to Saturdays. They also have a room toward the back that will allow them to host tasting events. I visited during their Grand Opening, and also made a visit on a Saturday. They were quite busy so depending on your level of comfort, you may want to visit during off-peak hours. Don't let the name fool you - yes they have an extensive collection of wine but they also have everything else you'd need when going on a liquor store run. We found all of our normal tequila, vodka, bourbon selections and then some! Their craft beers are plentiful and you can create your own six-pack. Because they are new, it will be busy for a while but hopefully once the newness settles down, you'll be able to get in and out. Today I tried a smooth Four Day Brewing seasonal/winter release that is 100% on my list for next time. I went in for my go to Ginger Beer and got a great price for my Crabbies. Love that they have amazing local selections all over the store as well. I have long been a frequent flyer at Total Wine--it about TIME one came to Indy!!! I really can't explain it. It is not just a liquor store, it is a destination/spiritual experience for all vino fans alike. The staff are super knowledgeable, there is a great selection of international beer, and there is JUST SO MUCH WINE! The best time to come is when they are doing tastings. My only feedback is that the ones in Wisconsin have a much bigger cheese selection. In a perfect world, this location would have more cheese :) but that may be my inner Wisconsin-gal/cheesehead self talking. read more

I'm so glad Indianapolis has a Total Wine store now! This has been my favorite package store to visit over the years. I've been to the one in Atlanta and in North Carolina where my father lives. They have a wonderful selection of wine, beer, and spirits! My personal favorite feature is the free samples of beer and wine throughout the week. It is a good way to try different things and see what you like and end up buying something to take home. The classes they have are wonderful as well. You learn a lot about wine, beer, and spirits, and you get to taste a good amount of alcohol. You would need to Uber home if you have a class at Total Wine. I'm looking forward to when this new Total Wine location decides to schedule classes. I appreciated the free bar glasses we received for the grand opening of the store. This will become my new place to shop for wine, beer, and spirits. read more

So happy to have Total Wine in the area. They are my go to place when I am spending time in a city that has one. Stopped in tonight after the ribbon cutting. Although the store is a little smaller than others I have visited, they still have a great selection and great prices with an informed and helpful staff. The opening was nice with a small band, and alcohol and food tastings. read more
