This business was contracted to balance my car's tires and check that there was no mechanical damage to my wheels as a result of a recent collision. I assumed that the slight flapping and vibration that I had been feeling at certain speeds would be identified whether or not it had anything to do with the collision. I assumed wrong. This business got up close and personal with my tires and did not see the damage shown in the photos I uploaded with this review. This was one of my rear tires. How did they overlook this? Unfortunately I didn't see it either, but that's because was looking at the sides of my tires to see if they looked low. Also, I'm not the automotive professional in this scenario. These are the only explanations I can come up with: 1. They balanced my tires and failed to see the extensive damage to one of them. 2. They balanced my tires and saw the extensive damage yet didn't care enough to mention it. 3. They didn't do the work in the first place (despite paperwork generated to the contrary), which is why they didn't see the bad tire. Thankfully I followed up with my own trusted mechanic who saw the damage as soon as the car was lifted. At minimum, United Performance missed the opportunity for more business as I would have immediately had them switch out the two rear tires; worse, they put me in a very precarious position, driving around on a shredded tire.

My M6 is being fixed !!!!

I know how hard it would be to find a 'mechanic' that understands the customer AND also fix the car ! PETER is the guy! One of the best services I ever received. He is super knowledgeableand straight forward, FAIR pricing and timely done work, what else can you ask for! Anytime I need car related services in SF, I know here to go! Thank you! My M6 is fixed right the same day, and drove back to SoCal without issues! Thank you PETER!

I went today to this place. I've supported and given them business in the past. I got there and was told only one out of the 2 ppl in line can get their wheels aligned... I said no problem and listened to them when they said come back in an hr. I came back and talked with the nice lady and man, then I gave my keys, agreed on being done by 230 (the whole process took almost 2 hours plenty of time to do a wheel alignment especially since I was the only one in line doing it. After waiting for so long I checked my cars status at 240, 10 minutes after the time it was supposed to be done and it wasn't even started. The workers there in the back then aggressively brought the car down and drove the car back out as soon as I questioned them showing their frustration as if I was in the wrong. Those in the front were apologizing for their mismanagement and told me to come back tomorrow and be first in line...(didn't even offer for it to being compensated or at least half compensated) then the worker from the back said not to come back even tho the owners in the front told me to come back. At this point even if I wanted to keep supporting the business I can't from fear from the back workers and mismanagement by the front staff. I'm just leaving a warning here for anyone going to this place... it is poorly managed and you cannot take their word for anything, it means nothing. Also the workers in the back are aggressive and I fear would damage your car purposely if provoked. Try this places services at your own risk. Love and peace to all.

A little nicer and cleaner than ours, but just as much fun.

I was about to take our Roadtrek Class B in yesterday for: oil change, brake system check and most importantly, change the OEM shocks to Bilsteins. It was a good thing I called Peter to see if he ordered and gotten the new shocks. His response: "Oh, I forgot. I'll do it when I get in the office. It was 8:35am, and his signage says "open 8a - 5pm"! He had promised the same task the day before, and that he would call me by day's end once the order was made. But never called me back. He has always been a bit sketchy since day one, saying "I never got your phone calls, you didn't tell me what kind of vehicle you have." He never acknowledges receipt of my text messages, some with important information. As this Roadtrek weighs 8,500 lbs, I always make sure any shop can handle it, with the right kind of lift. He said "no problem." Unfortunately, I couldn't get a look inside his shop to determine capability. It seems he doesn't want or need work, or maybe he's semi-retired. His callous attitude towards me, does not bode well. I'm NEVER taking this vehicle or our others to this business. EVER.

When Mike named his auto repair business, "Extra Care", he truly meant it. Over and over and over…read moreagain, he has gone above and beyond to help me. First and foremost, there isn't a more honest auto mechanic on the planet, with regard to pricing, with regard to diagnosing the problem, and with regard to how long the repair will take. Every time. Full stop. He's reliable. His expertise is extraordinary. He's on time. He would never ever overcharge or pad the bill. I'm a woman alone, and I cannot tell you how many times he's literally rescued me, so much so, that I feel absolutely blessed that he's my mechanic. Seriously.

This is a more accurate account of what happened:…read more I came to this shop because my air conditioning on my van stopped working and I wanted to see what the problem was and how much it would be to fix it. This business had great reviews on yelp and google so I wanted to try it out. And I wanted to see if this was a shop I could regularly come to as I recently moved close-by. I walked in and after roaming around to find someone, I started speaking with an employee who said the owner Mike was not in. He said in order to inspect the air conditioning, it would be at least $200 which is also their price for an oil change. So I should just get an oil change and they would do many things including looking into the air conditioning. He didn't say it was a full air conditioning check. Yet he said they could let me know what the problem might be and he would note it. I didn't really need an oil change. I don't think I was even half way there. I decided to try it out and see how this place was. The owner Mike called me back multiple hours later letting me know my car was done. I asked him about the air conditioning and he said he didn't even look into the air conditioning and that I came for an oil change. He said it would be $240 to look into what the problem was with the air conditioning. He said that was just to inspect it though and no guarantee of fixing anything. I was irritated and he then told me I was a cheap person. We were on speaker phone in the car with my girlfriend and her friend who both said they didn't like this guy, were not comfortable with him, that he didn't know how to talk to people, the way he spoke was not professional, and that I shouldn't work with him, because there are other mechanics I could go to that were good. Ultimately I decided to go pick up my car. It was a very awkward conversation with the owner in his little office room. I went to pay and I wasn't very comfortable paying, because this is not what I came there for. I decided to pay uncomfortably and observed the way the owner Mike was and he seemed pretty arrogant and with an attitude after done of 'here are your keys. Go walk over to your car and get it yourself.' I was trying to get input on what he saw in the car on his service as well and he casually mentioned multiple things he saw and didn't seem interested in explaining much at all. Really weird experience here especially contrasting to the other good reviews for this business. I guess he goes above and beyond for other customers. Wasn't the case with me.

They were extremely honest and advised that the car was in great condition. The brake rotors will eventually need to be refinished due to slight warping, but it was nothing pressing. All that was needed was an oil change and fluid top offs, which they took care of at a very reasonable price. I brought the car in again recently for an oil change. Quick and easy and inexpensive service. Although I've only used their services twice, I opine they are quite trustworthy.

The deets: I have a 1999 NB Mazda Miata with a rebuilt engine, but your mileage may vary. Let me start off this review by saying, good "Mom and Pop" mechanics and support staff are hard to find. To wit: PR Motorsports in Hayward closed a few years ago because the main and only mechanic had "an offer he couldn't refuse." When Mr. Mazda changed owners due to unforseen circumstances, well, I'll stop short there. What Auto Logic delivers is a world-class auto experience in every category: Customer Service, Communication, Attention to Detail, Value, Service and All-Around "Good Karma" vibe. My auto service need was fixing a leaky engine (from the aforementioned rebuild) that was LONG overdue. After an initial assesment, the estimate was up to a 2-day job and co$t wise, ended just being a little "teensy weensy" over the initial estimate price. I didn't care, because the constant calls to my cell phone regarding updates eased my concern. Timewise, the job took just a little over one day. That's it really. Only to say that I forgot how beautiful the drive is on H280 to and from my locale in the South Bay.

He's a mobile mechanic; if you got an emergency or need flexibility on location, he's your guy. He comes out to you. 2. He has YOU buy the parts, so money saved not being upcharged by the dealer/shops. You tell him the issue, he tells you what you need to get (including links to Amazon, rockauto, etc), and agree on the labor price I recommend his services to anyone that wants the flexibility and to go with someone knowledgeable/honest.
