I called on a Saturday morning in a panic because I needed a mechanic to take a look at my jeep's electronic throttle control indicator. They said come on in and they'll take a look. When I got there, so many people dropped off their cars and they were so busy working on several cars but they were so kind in taking a look and diagnosing. Not only were they reasonable priced but what mattered more to me was their kindness and care to helping me. I never thought I would be so happy about my tensioner timing chain failing but given the fact that I found this business because of it I'm thrilled lol if that first sentence didn't say it I don't know what else will. I actually had this shop recommended to me by two other local mechanics and after showing up Tuesday morning it would appear that this shop being amazing is common knowledge. Very good service from the lovely couple who owns this shop and at an amazing value. This business was contracted to balance my car's tires and check that there was no mechanical damage to my wheels as a result of a recent collision. I assumed that the slight flapping and vibration that I had been feeling at certain speeds would be identified whether or not it had anything to do with the collision. I assumed wrong. This business got up close and personal with my tires and did not see the damage shown in the photos I uploaded with this review. This was one of my rear tires. How did they overlook this? Unfortunately I didn't see it either, but that's because was looking at the sides of my tires to see if they looked low. Also, I'm not the automotive professional in this scenario. These are the only explanations I can come up with: 1. They balanced my tires and failed to see the extensive damage to one of them. 2. They balanced my tires and saw the extensive damage yet didn't care enough to mention it. 3. They didn't do the work in the first place (despite paperwork generated to the contrary), which is why they didn't see the bad tire. Thankfully I followed up with my own trusted mechanic who saw the damage as soon as the car was lifted. At minimum, United Performance missed the opportunity for more business as I would have immediately had them switch out the two rear tires; worse, they put me in a very precarious position, driving around on a shredded tire. read more

I was about to take our Roadtrek Class B in yesterday for: oil change, brake system check and most importantly, change the OEM shocks to Bilsteins. It was a good thing I called Peter to see if he ordered and gotten the new shocks. His response: "Oh, I forgot. I'll do it when I get in the office. It was 8:35am, and his signage says "open 8a - 5pm"! He had promised the same task the day before, and that he would call me by day's end once the order was made. But never called me back. He has always been a bit sketchy since day one, saying "I never got your phone calls, you didn't tell me what kind of vehicle you have." He never acknowledges receipt of my text messages, some with important information. As this Roadtrek weighs 8,500 lbs, I always make sure any shop can handle it, with the right kind of lift. He said "no problem." Unfortunately, I couldn't get a look inside his shop to determine capability. It seems he doesn't want or need work, or maybe he's semi-retired. His callous attitude towards me, does not bode well. I'm NEVER taking this vehicle or our others to this business. EVER. read more

I went today to this place. I've supported and given them business in the past. I got there and was told only one out of the 2 ppl in line can get their wheels aligned... I said no problem and listened to them when they said come back in an hr. I came back and talked with the nice lady and man, then I gave my keys, agreed on being done by 230 (the whole process took almost 2 hours plenty of time to do a wheel alignment especially since I was the only one in line doing it. After waiting for so long I checked my cars status at 240, 10 minutes after the time it was supposed to be done and it wasn't even started. The workers there in the back then aggressively brought the car down and drove the car back out as soon as I questioned them showing their frustration as if I was in the wrong. Those in the front were apologizing for their mismanagement and told me to come back tomorrow and be first in line...(didn't even offer for it to being compensated or at least half compensated) then the worker from the back said not to come back even tho the owners in the front told me to come back. At this point even if I wanted to keep supporting the business I can't from fear from the back workers and mismanagement by the front staff. I'm just leaving a warning here for anyone going to this place... it is poorly managed and you cannot take their word for anything, it means nothing. Also the workers in the back are aggressive and I fear would damage your car purposely if provoked. Try this places services at your own risk. Love and peace to all. read more

not reliable! Did me wrong! I set up an appt last week for today appt. To have my trunk actuator replacement. I left it 9:30am and called Peter the owner at 3, he said it will take another 45 min. so came to pick up at 5pm, still not being touched! So i waited awhile longer, guess what, he came and told me they got the wrong part and to come back tomorrow. I was so disappointed that i just left! Wasted the whole day for nothing. the fact that they have all the info last week. How could they get the wrong parts? and all he said was sorry? what kind of a business is he running? not even a "ill give u a discount for inconvenience" Anyways not coming back here. My 2012 Kia (not so great car, don't go near that brand) was diagnosed by Kia Oakland as needing a new engine, when in fact its 8 year old lower control arms/other suspension parts were clicking/clunking. It also cracked its evap canister and purge valve so after failing emissions at a smog shop in SSF, the guy there recommended I ask for Peter at United Performance when just the gas tank cap replacement didn't fix it. Peter looked over a lot of the problems of that car, overhauled the front suspension and put new shocks in the back at a reasonable cost. A few months later, I thought my timing chain was making noise, and Peter was hesitant about changing it, but that poor car has to last us 2 more years so I asked him to change it for my peace of mind and sure enough there was some wear on the tensioner that would've made that repair necessary soon. I would take my car here again, they're always very busy but willing to accommodate and transparent about the price. At all major services like the ones I had done, they will let you know if there's another reasonable thing to repair or replace (like when you drop your engine for the timing chain). If you need major work, your car will be there for a few days because they will often need to order parts, but routine quick things like oil change, tire rotations are done same day. read more

I really wish I could give a better review. The guy was super nice but everything went wrong with my repair. 1. I was told the estimate would be done by the end of the day and they'd call me. I received no call and no one picked up when I called 10/20 minutes before closing. 2. The next day, I still got no call even though I left a voicemail. However, when I called, they picked up this time and let me know my car was ready. 3. They replaced the wrong part. They were fair though and said I only had to pay for the part but that meant I still had to pay $100 for a part that didn't need to be replaced. So much time, money, and energy was wasted. 4. They quoated me $2000 to actually fix the noise coming from my car. They said I need the whole steering wheel part replaced for my 2013 Sonata. I went to DAS auto shop and they knew exactly what was wrong with my car and fixed it within a day for $380 ish. read more

I dropped off my car at 11:10 am and told me it would be 40 minutes max. I showed up at 1:15pm and my car wasn't moved at all! Always come here for my oil change. Peter and his crew are always accommodating to last minute appts and will only really tell me I need something changed if it is necessary.
