I would rather not give any star, but since I cannot review unless I do, well there it is…read more This is a lousy practice, especially since Dr Jacobus is no longer there. For the last few visits, I have not seen an actual doctor. I had a conversation with a Nurse practitioner on 2 occasions and I had a conversation with nurses on the others. I have never met or was ever examined by Dr. R.P Allen, but he has the authority to make decisions about your medication. I noticed that since the merger with Spartanburg Regional, the services are worse than before. There are't any doctors evaluating patients, there are nurse practitioners instead. If you want to rely on Np's for your care well then that's your decision.

Call months ago when this place was "pain management." Well my doctor lost his liscense I won't say…read morewho my doctor was. I went to this new practice that took over pain management Dr Lisa the " ER doc" from Mary black rather talk about my doctor getting arrested, how she refuses to give me pain medicine for atleast six months , wanted me to get back injections (I warned her I was terrified of needles) she didn't care she has zero compassion for her patients, and told me she knew I had a herniated disc in my back ordered me gabapentin like it was some miracle pill.... Then wanted to interrogate me on how many times my old doctor gave me opioids over and over. I was treated very wrong just bc my doctor had gotten in trouble. You can't just treat patients like crap and expect them to feel comfortable. I walked out told her I'll find another doctor. It wasn't worth my time so don't bother with "united pain center" it's useless especially if your doctor got in trouble they label you as a drug seeker!!!!!

Who ever does their billing should be fired IMMEDIATELY!!! They are rude, unprofessional, and a crappy human being. My mother and I were both patients of Dr Clark, and both owed bills. My mother got a text one day asking for her payment. EVERYONE knows text messages asking for money are most likely scams(just watch the news). My mother called the office and asked if the text was real or someone trying to scam her using their name. The rude employee told her "That's how we bill!!!" Never have I heard of a doctor asking for payments via text. The employee told my mother the message was automated so there was NOTHING she could do about it. A hour later I myself got the same text my mother received, except mine also said "This is not a scan"...yes..it said scan, not scam!! Bad spelling asking for money was not convincing me it was NOT a scam. Also..if the texts were automated, how did they add "This is not a scan" so quickly???...so they lied, there is an actual person sending out these texts. Anyway...today I got a letter from Upstate Hand Center saying if I don't pay the less then $100 I owe them, they are taking me to small claims court . This after my insurance dished out over $1300+ just for my visit, so laughable . I guess my less than $100 owed is going to bankrupt this place. I plan to post the EXTREMELY RUDE letter I received and put it on any local social media group I can find, that way people will know NOT to deal with this place!!! Per a review on Google from several months ago someone was going to investigate them for fraudulent billing!! Looking at my bill they charged me $1100.00 for the initial visit and $350 for a follow up visit..yet my $100 is going to break them.

The problem is the ladies at the front are not welcoming at all. I always sensed like I was a bother. I had to cancel 2 appointments and was charged $50 a clip! Both cancellations were emergencies, but they didn't care. Not sure if Dr. Clark is in agreement with this. It seems very excessive.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR! He should have negative stars. He injured my husband and he injured me…read more My husband was still able to walk to the bathroom using crutches, but when I took him anywhere he used a wheelchair he was in a lot of pain and I thought the hyaluronic acid injections might help him till he could have surgery or maybe reduce his need for surgery. When this doctor gave him the injections he went home and went to bed, screamed in pain for 3 days and has never been able to walk again. At the time I thought he was just too far gone for the injections to help. Then I re-injured my knee, could not find anyone to help me as my doctor in Pennsylvania did when I injured it the first time so I went to Baird for hyaluronic acid injections. After a very humiliating and exhausting appointment I finely saw him and he told me I needed double knee replacement surgery, but he never put my x-rays up (I never saw them, the staff would not even send them to my PCP)- he agreed to do the injections, but he used no guidance- HE SHOULD HAVE USED IMAGING TO GUIDE THE INJECTIONS, he did not use it when he gave my husband injections or when he gave them to me. He rushed through the injections, told me he was going on vacation so my on my next visit a nurse would be giving me the injections and when I told him how much pain he had caused he said with a big smile on his face, that he couldn't do anything about that. Needless to say I never went back. When I went into the office that day I could walk, when I left I barely made it to the car, I didn't think I'd make it home. That very day I had to start walking with crutches and I've been getting worse ever since. I've been in excruciating pain which gets worse every day and other doctors have told me he should never have given me the injections, he should have had imaging guidance and I'm told my only option now is surgery. This doctor ruined both our lives, my husband is now bed-bound and I cannot have surgery because I am his care-giver, we are both now "shut-ins" - I am no longer able to go to the doctor, any doctor because I can't drive anymore and I'm young, I can't even imagine how horrible it is going to be to live the next 30 years of our lives like this. This guy is a monster, he doesn't know what he's doing or doesn't care, he has no compassion and the facility withheld my x-rays which is a HIPPA violation-- stay away from him and Prismahealth! Don't let anyone touch you until you know everything they are going to do, it they don't use imaging -get up and leave. If they won't show you your x-rays or test results- get up and leave. Get a 2nd opinion. Some people will tell you a doctor is good based on the fact that he or she gave then some much needed attention, do some more research and find someone who is able to give you options, who has the latest technology. You don't want to end up like me.

He took an X-ray of only one of the two problem areas in my back. He said that I have arthritis and the discs were bulging, but it didn't look severe. I ALREADY KNOW THIS!! He. Told me that we Could try anti inflammatory meds and physical therapy. I cannot take anti inflammatory meds due to a heart condition. He said that we could try physical therapy but there was really nothing that could be done to help my pain and that I would just have to live with it. He said we could do surgery but surgeries usually don't help. He also said that losing some weight might help. He seemed to not care about my situation and seemed to be rushing through the appt. He never asked about my medical hisTory or what kind of work I did. He didn't care! I am not someone faking a bad back for pain medication. I didn't even ask for pain medication and I would rather NOT take medication at all. I was hoping for a new procedure or something I haven't already tried to relieve my pain. I felt completely judged and thrown aside. I was not someone that he actually wanted to help. I was just the $50 co pay walking in the door!!
