Wait time was minimal and staff welcoming yet professional. I never had the feeling of finding my way in the long corridors of a hospital setting, just another patient in a queue. Impressive.

I know a main concern with most seems to be the facility billing upfront, which I also found weird, however, when I informed my insurance company, they said it isn't uncommon for billing to occur beforehand. That being said, I paid the bill the day of the visit. Check in went smoothly, and I was shortly after brought into the pre-op area by Nurse Drei (I believe that is the spelling of his name). The area was not quite as I expected, as it was 7 beds relatively close together separated by curtains. I became skeptical and confirmed with Nurse Drei the surgery wouldn't be happening there, as I would have walked away in a heartbeat. He confirmed it is just where I would get situated in the bed and be wheeled away to the surgery room. I changed into the gown and Nurse Drei started the IV (in my hand) without issues (not a fan of needles and I haven't had surgery so I was on edge already). My doctor and the anesthesiologist came to speak with me for a moment, and I was then wheeled back into the surgery room. The anesthesia took effect pretty quick! The last thing I remember was being bundled in the blanket on the bed and being asked where I would want to be (I said Cancun of course), and I was out! The next thing I remember, is I was waking up (incredibly groggy and confused) in the post-op recovery room, with quite the soreness around my nose area. I was given juice and water and recovered for a little bit, and then I was sent on my way home. Besides the general soreness throughout my nose and face, my bleeding ended after my first day/night, and I am going on day 4 at a good recovery pace. Overall, good experience with the Doctor, the facility, and all the staff, coming from someone with no prior surgery facility experience.

I only started this review as I saw this Yelp site, but really the review is more about the Advocate Medical Group housed here (and they have their own Yelp review site). There's not much more to say about the facility itself except it's convenient with good hours, and has a big convenient parking lot that is often filled! Our PCP, Dr. Ellen Aleksandrovich, is the best and she is very competent, caring, communicative, proactive, and empathetic to the patient's needs. Their systems also work great and responsively without long waits - systems meaning phone calls or messages, their PA staff, their website which is used for both medical info storage as well as messaging, their billing and payments system, their appointment scheduling, their lab appointments system and staff, etc. They also have several specialists based here that we see, and they have the same support system. We routinely get bloodwork and sometimes imaging done here. They are part of the Advocate Medical Group and in turn associated directly with the excellent Advocate Lutheran General Hospital nearby. In our experience, it's a big thumbs up for Nesset Pavillion and the Advocate Medical Group staff here.

I was forced to go because I ran out of a script & they told me I had to see the doctor first before I could get it refilled. I would just as soon take none of these drugs (I mean I'm not even getting high from them ) As it turns out its been over 1 year since my last physical so I figured I might as well have the tests done. I guess the fact that I have insurance they figured out they might as well order everything deluxe and do Lab Tests, EKG, Ultrasound (Am I pregnant ?). Anyway 2 hrs seems a bit excessive. The attending resident doctor did a very good job and was very through, but the front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired. When I arrived the girl asked me if I could hold on for a minute. I waited for about 5 minutes and finally realized there were a couple of other people that could have checked me in. When I left there were only 2 people. As I walked out the first person just walked away and didn't say anything so I checked out with the other person.

I note that there are many AMG offices (with associated Yelp reviews) located around Chicagoland, but I can only speak about this one. We are very pleased with the services, staff, and the facility itself here. AMG's systems also work great and responsively without long waits - systems meaning phone call answering or followup messaging, their PA staff, their website which is used for both medical info storage as well as e-mail messaging, their billing and payments system, their appointment scheduling, their lab appointments system and staff, etc. They also have several specialists based here that we see, and they have the same support system. We routinely get bloodwork and sometimes imaging done here at Nesset Pavillion. AMG is in turn associated directly with the excellent Advocate Lutheran General Hospital nearby. One of the best things with being part of a group is if your PCP happens to not be available on a given day, another doctor or resident or possibly a PA can step in for an urgent matter and they have all the info they may need at their fingertips. If needed, they can also refer you to one of their immediate care clinics in a Walgreens and I have used that service to get a quick anti-biotic prescription following a quick strep throat test without need to see a PCP. Before using the Advocate Medical Group for a PCP, I had a one man shop PCP, and who happened to take Wednesdays off, and it seemed I always needed him on a Wednesday so he was never there without a few days delay when I needed him, pfft! He also occasionally had suspect billing practices and that was the straw for me. He was competent though, but whatever on that aspect. In our experience, it's a big thumbs up for the Advocate Medical Group staff here at the Nesset Pavillion as well as the facility itself.
