Check them out on-line and read everything you can about them and how their past clients feel about them. It would take too long--just check what others say about them. Maybe they have changed. Very deceptive operation. Note that all of the five star reviews are on the buying side. Not a one one from anyone who has tried to re-sell their bullion or coins. They seem to be GREAT at sales. Now try to get your money out of your "investment." They never tell you up front that the "market value" is what they sell for, not what you can get when you want to liquidate. You can always look up your current "market value" online, but that again is THEIR current ASKING price to new buyers (or if you want to buy more) for coins, or the commodities market spot price for bullion. It's not what you the individual will ever get for it. The commodities exchanges don't deal in the small quantities you are considering buying, and there isn't even any exchange for coins that they sell you at above the bullion value. So you have to find some gold buyer or coin shop to take them off your hands for whatever they will give you. These folks say they give a "buy back guarantee," but its not a guarantee to buy anything back at what you paid for it, or even the spot market value of bullion. They'll buy it back at whatever price they set, and if you don't like it you have to figure out how to sell it yourself. Good luck. My 86 yo dad got suckered into sending them six figures. He got his bullion and coins and says his sales rep is "really nice; I really like her." but now that he is facing the need for long term care, a big chunk of his money is tied up in metals and I have to figure out how to sell them to pay for his care. Probably one of the worst experiences of my life, not only did my gold go missing from FedEx to the store but then I was berated by the "head" of security , who had to be told more than once,to lower is voice and stop speaking aggressively to me. He also reported that I do not have the authority to request for his higher up and the only person higher than him is John Huntmacher. Stunning in their underhanded ways! These guys are all kinds of smooooooth on the phone. Here is the deal in a nutshell. If you buy their Proof coin sets or "investment" packages your getting far far far less gold then if you simply buy a US gold coin, even from them. The difference is 2 to 3 times less, huge huge huge commissions for them. But they will sell you on "but these proof sets appreciate so much" and they look so shiny and come in wooden box. They sold these to my 88year old father who is diagnosed with mild dementia which they where informed about. I intervened and pointed out that he was only getting 1.85oz of gold per set (at between $4106 and $8750 depending on age), which is actually only worth ~$2300 in gold. I blame myself for not doing thorough research before making the awful mistake calling the UNITED STATES GOLD BUREAU. I have rarely experienced such treatment, even with the most shoddiest of companies. It is too late for me but not for you! If you are looking to purchase quality precious metals with exquisite customer service then I suggest thorough research. I have learned from my mistakes and will NEVER consider opening my wallet to the UNITED STATES GOLD BUREAU company. I wish with all my heart I could go into the raw unpleasant details about what really happened... unfortunately I cannot because UNITED STATES GOLD BUREAU company reported my original review to Trustpilot for sharing too much of my real experience. I did not know companies could try to stifle customer experiences... That is despicable! After my phone call to the UNITED STATES GOLD BUREAU I was left feeling sick to my stomach, insignificant, incompetent in the area of precious metals , and disgusted by the treatment I received.
