I went in to mail a package and was unaware that USPS no longer offers overnight shipping and now only provides Express delivery in two to three days. When I approached the counter, I asked the employee for a next-day shipping label because there weren't any available in the lobby. She immediately responded in a snide tone, "That's because we no longer have overnight shipping," while smacking her lips. I replied, "Okay, I need this package delivered as quickly as possible because my son is staying with a friend." She instructed me to put my return address on the envelope because they would print the label for me. While filling out the envelope, I handed her another letter that also needed to be mailed. When I gave her the package information, she told me that only one name could appear on the label. I had already explained that my son was staying with someone else and that I needed to make sure the package reached him. At that point, I told her to give the envelope back to me because I would take it to UPS instead. While checking out, I accidentally pressed the wrong button on the payment screen, which canceled the transaction. Her response was, "Let's try this again," said in a very rude and condescending manner. After paying, the keypad asked me to rate my experience, and I selected the red unhappy face because the customer service was terrible. As I was leaving with my envelope to take it elsewhere, I heard her say, "Testing, testing." There was absolutely no reason for her attitude. Customer service employees should treat customers with respect and professionalism. If she dislikes her job or doesn't want to provide basic customer service, then perhaps she should consider a position that doesn't involve interacting with the public.

This place is a living nightmare full of people barely competent enough to breathe and walk at the…read moresame time. Not only are their lines constantly long with most demands met by blank stares, BUT one of their mail carriers left a package on my doorstep instead of leaving it with my complex manager, and it was stolen. When I called (& visited) the office to complain & see what could be done, I was told it was my fault for not being home (excuse me?) & not asking for insurance on the package. I pressed further, but was told that it was now in the postmaster's hands and that I could leave my name and number so s/he could call to apologize. We're closing in on two months, if memory serves me, and I have still yet to receive any correspondence whatsoever - either by phone or mail. My package was never received and I was never compensated for my loss, much to my fury. I hate to enforce the image of the ignorant and lazy public servant, but these people are so stereotypical of such that it's just disgusting. Frankly, with workers like these it's no wonder the USPS is going bankrupt. If you need to go to a branch office, go someplace else. The ones in Mason & on Collins Rd are leagues better.
