If you work in downtown CLE, this post office is super convenient for you. If you LIVE in downtown CLE, there's a chance you don't even know this post office is even open. Unfortunately, I fit in the latter category. Well, at least until a few months ago when I googled "post office" on a Wednesday and realized there was one literally IN the grand arcade! It's an insanely convenient location and I love when I need to mail something or grab stamps on a weekday when I'm off of work. This place only has M-F hours and they close by 4pm, so if you work full-time anywhere but downtown, you probably won't ever see it open. If you go during lunch hours, you will probably stand in a crazy long line, but that's the case with any post office. I've had hit or miss experiences here. I have encountered rude people behind the counter who are ridiculously slow and clearly don't care because they have no where else to be. But today was definitely a good experience. As I walked in, there was a long line. But, the one lady behind the counter, Constance, was super efficient and the line kept moving. By the time I found a box and taped it up, the line was gone and I was the next person. Constance was wonderful- super friendly and clearly super efficient. I wish this post office was open Saturday mornings, but it's definitely a good convenience to have down the street if I'm ever off on a weekday!

Closed for over an hour for lunch.

It is a popular spot and one of only a few downtown locations which means that lines can be long. Also, this Post Office lacks the self service kiosk found in many locations -- so anything from buying a stamp to a more complicated transaction will require waiting in line. One funky thing about this post office is the hours. Posted hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, except for Wednesday. For some reason Wednesday gets an early closing time of 12:00 PM (yet it was open today around 2:00 PM...) I have never received particularly bad or wonderful service here, but love that it is available for those times I need to scramble for an actual staffed Post Office in downtown.

I've worked and dealt with most of the people that work here and while not the fastest and maybe they choose to take lunch during the busiest time of day leaving one postal worker....they are always friendly. Last Christmas I mailed something to NYC w specific instructions and paid extra. Package never got there. Was lost for good. While I used an Amex card to purchase this gift.....usps wasn't exactly the easiest to deal with when it came to my claim. I specifically asked and paid signature required upon delivery and whoever delivered it just left it on a doorstop outside in Manhattan. Thank goodness I kept my receipt showing I paid for signatures or I would've had to eat the cost. USPS said it was never entered as signature required so I can only think whoever checked my outgoing package charged me but never entered it in as such. Anyway, nice people...not so nice location. Place is actually the size of an outhouse.

This place has dethroned Tick Tock as my favorite bar. If you know a member of the Post, have them take you in, sign the guest book and check it out. Social memberships are very cheap. This is the premier place in Tremont. Forget Edisons, Flying Monkey and Treehouse. Who wants to hang out with people like that? I only go to the above mentioned places with the intent to meet women. I was NOT impressed…read more Visiting here made me feel depressed, like I was in a slowly deteriorating city with political leaders who lacked the motivation to keep this historic city beautiful, like the real gem that it is. However, I have also had several opportunities to visit this city over these last thirty years and I have seen great improvements since that time. One of the small efforts to beautify this city came with the decision to add several "Cleveland" script signs at various locations around the city, like here in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland. I have visited a few of the Cleveland script signs, and this one here in Tremont is my favorite so far. It is located in a beautiful little neighborhood, within an area that almost feels like a small park. Even though it's in a beautiful little neighborhood, it is close enough to the heart of the city to provide visitors with a breathtaking view of the Cleveland skyline, along with several beautifully constructed historic bridges within view. To add to how pleasant this location is, there are also railroad tracks nearby, where one can occasionally see a powerful train pass by. Still further, there is also a nicely constructed walkway through this area where folks can take a nice stroll while enjoying the view. The Cleveland script sign here in Tremont is easy to get to, located just south of the Cuyahoga River, with nearby exits from both directions of the Interstate 90 freeway. There is also a nice, clean and safe place to park within walking distance that is open daily, from 6am until 11pm. This parking area has several parking spots, most of which are under the I-90 overpass, and parking is free. If you happen to be visiting the Cleveland area, I would highly recommend that you stop by this location for a quick visit. It's a great place to take in a breathtaking view of this beautiful city, and of course, to snap that selfie of your visit to Cleveland.
