Broad St in Mooresville,…read more I arrived at the NC vehicle registration office in Mooresville about 10 am on 12/04/2025 and expected to be there for a while. I was immediately greeted by a nice lady behind the counter and called to the counter. She processed my paperwork for the title and registration quickly and efficiently and in a friendly manner. I hope everyone that goes here can find the same pleasant serice as I did.

This location is extremely small but it's ran like a well oiled machine. The lady at the check in desk had the right amount of professionalism mixed with a little "I don't take no, mess so don't try me," and I can respect that! On the outside, this location has the appearance of a small dress shop but once you get inside there's a small seating area to the right and a checkin station straight ahead. Things seem to move quickly, we waited about 20 minutes before they called my son to the back to take his test. I would definitely return to this location in the future.

Their entrance is open that no limit of customers lining up. No lunch break close. Normal working hours easy to follow. After not even a wait, they kept telling us sorry for us to wait. They were working fast. Especially a lady Anna, of course I remember her as she has my same name. She is super friendly and always wears a sweet smile. How can customers get mad for waiting. Even I have to drive miles to get here, whenever I can afford my time, I rather come here for their service. That may be the reason, they are so busy. Good job! Thanks for their service.

I guess thats considered "close" living in Charlotte. I came here to return a Shein order. My package was for "scan and drop off" but I didn't have it sealed and needed to buy tape. The Post offices I've been to usually sells tape and various other packaging items inside but this location did not. The mail lady was kind enough to staple my package shut and applied the shipping label over the staples to seal it off more.

This marker is at a bend in the US Highway 29 and points out some postal history. Everything had to…read morebe first, this first happened here in China Grove. The marker reads, "Rural Free Delivery. The first mail over an R.F.D. route in N.C. was carried out of China Grove, October 23, 1896." The online essay has more information. It reads, "In 1896, following the initiatives of Postmaster General William L. Wilson, North Carolina developed a Rural Free Delivery (RFD) route for mail. Postal service via RFD included the delivery of all postal items, free of charge, to citizens at their homes, eliminating the need to visit the local post office. The first such route in North Carolina operated from China Grove in Rowan County on October 23, 1896. "Mail service began in North Carolina in the 1730s as the colonial government extended postal routes through the Carolinas to Charleston. Following the Revolutionary War, there were only four post offices in North Carolina, in the major port cities. By 1851, the number of post offices had increased to nearly 800. North Carolinians had become accustomed to regular postal services, which were operated by the local postmaster who established an office, either in a local public building or in a house, and from there local citizens regularly collected their mail. "Following Wilson's proposal during the second administration of President Grover Cleveland, China Grove, a small community near Salisbury, began experimenting with the development of a mail delivery route. Salisbury politician John S. Henderson, a Congressman who served as chairman of the Committee on Post Offices and Postroads during the late 1890s, pushed for the experiment in Rowan County. Under the direction of J. Bruner Goodnight, China Grove's postmaster, a Rural Free Delivery route was established. Goodnight was discouraged at the lack of public interest and commitment to the project, and resigned shortly thereafter. "In 1896 a new Postmaster, J.C. Deaton, developed two test routes from the China Grove office. Initially only two citizens, C. A. Linn of Landis and Martin Blackwelder of Kannapolis, were willing to accept the service. Local skepticism for the mail delivery stemmed from concerns about theft and reliability. Deaton, with two assistants, canvassed the area around China Grove, pleading for local residents to try the system. The new routes covered approximately eighteen miles in Rowan County, and were slowly expanded as citizen began to trust the RFD system. this review is in response to the officer that responded to the animal abuse call of a dog in a car…read morewith temperatures in the 90's. the officer who responded to a call for help in saving this dog life by being kept in a car during high heat without open windows, water, etc.....was nasty, disrespectful, intimidated the caller who reported the dangerous condition. treated the person who called as a criminal. continually asked the abusers of the dog if they wanted to press charges against the woman who gave their dog water. never pressed charges against the abusers who left their dog in a hot car on a hot day. this officer needs to be psycho re-evaluated and immediately put on desk duty.....without a gun. video evidence clearly shows animal abuse...yet.....he does not press charges of animal abuse against the abusers. this officer is clearly confused and out of line? he does not understand his duties and responsibilities to the public that he serves. he is a danger to the public. he intimated a woman ........not a good trait for someone who is employed by the public and carries a gun.
