Are these carriers SO lazy that they cannot bring a box to my door? This is about the fifth time I have had to cut a box out of my mailbox because they jammed it in so tight, I could not get it out!! I called earlier to change a package from delivered to local pickup. I was assured things would be ready for me. When I got there and asked the guy about my package, he was incredibly rude and condescending. He couldn't find my package and refused to help me figure out what was going on. If Kurt hadn't have stepped in and mediated we would still be battling. I still have no idea what's going on with my package and nobody could tell me if I had to come pick it up or if it would still go out for delivery. Very rude and very unhelpful. read more

This is the worst post office i've ever seen. Laziest, I don't care, do nothing people Inhave ever seen. I had an international package made it all the way to fenton, and then got lost. They sent it back to Europe and didn't even know it as it was neve scanned back. It arrived in Moscow and the post office here in Fenton was still looking for it. Worthless. They also scan packages as being delivered, we never received it in the mailbox. Maybe they delivered it elsewhere ? Who knows. read more

I went to buy postcard stamps last week. I needed 130 and the lady told me they didn't have that many and just stared at me until I asked her what she wanted me to do since I had 130 postcards to stamp/mail. She said she didn't know. I asked her if there was somewhere else I could buy postcard stamps. She told me that I could just buy 50 cent stamps (postcard stamps are 35 cents). She finally decided to actually look around and ended up finding the amount of stamps I needed. She just didn't feel like getting up to go look for them. Not a good thing when the post office tells you they are out of stamps. read more

Ohhhh the Post Office. The dull duty of having to wait in the guaranteed line with the many faces of our lovely community in complete silence while stealing awkward glances at each other and whatever is in our anxious little hands. The good 'ol Post Office. This location would get 2.5 stars because it's a bit cluttered and some of the desk people don't seem to enjoy themselves but it gets a solid 4 star rating due to one gentlemen who is always courteous, clever, witty and versed in etiquette. I've had two interactions with Rod and both were negative. Rod is extremely rude and bitter for some reason. If it were my business, Rod would work loading trucks and would not be allowed to interact with the public. I went to UPS and they were polite and helpful. I will probably never go back to the Fenton Post Office. I choose to go where I'm treated like a valued customer. read more

Kurt is the sweetest man EVER. The other guy.. not a fan. Came in and didn't really know much about how to set up my package. Had the label online, but couldn't print it out so I was going to see if they could. I arrived at the post office and go up to his station. I asked a question and he told me I had to fill out the address and proceeds to tell me "can you go back and do it there to not hold up the line" IN THE RUDEST WAY. Then I show him my order confirmation and he's like "we can't print that out here" also, in the rudest way. So I begin to head out and put my wallet away and again, with a smart ass comment goes "put away the envelope" (the one I picked out). HE OBVIOUSLY NEEDS A SNICKERS BAR OR SOMETHING. The carriers need training when a package does not fit in the mail box without being able to close it take it to the porch. Leaving my packages sticking out 2 ft yes 2 ft crushed to get in the box. Hi value packages sticking out of mail box on a dirt road come on get real !!. We have a large deck box right in front of garage with sign for deliveries easy access and turn around out of drive. We have a lot of deliveries fedex / ups use the box just fine. Amazon not getting the service they are paying the post office for. Would like to add sunday part timers do it right full timers lazy!! been going on for a long time. mail box bent wont stay closed now don't know the effort to cram package in the box but I know what it takes to get out. I'm glad every one likes Kurt I find it irritating when your waiting in line and you have to listen to the Kurt show dragged out with everybody nice enough guy just cut out the theatrics and stick to the business friendly just fine don't over do it. read more

The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is for the gentleman who works in the post office. You're a sweetie! The carriers are absolutely awful. Where do I start, missing mail, packages thrown on our porch, notes in the box stating they came to the door and no one was home when there was. Not to mention the carriers bad attitudes, smart comments and to smile, oh my goodness you'd think you were asking for the world. We've lived here for several years and I've never seen such bad service. I miss the days when I'd actually get the right mail (not someone elses) and they actually picked up a letter from my box witthout complaining! I have actually heard these people complain when they have to pull in the driveway and get out and put a package on the porch. I can't wait to actually live in a place where we actually have normal service again!!!!!! read more

I have been living at my location for almost two years. In that time, at least once a week I deliver neighbor's mail & a (disgruntle) postal carrier has literally run through mailboxes. If I'm not picking up our mail I'm delivering my neighbor's mail. I never truly know if we're getting all of our mail because it's commonplace to get other people's current mail (I'm not talking about getting previous residential mail either). I've called and made complaints but it never seems to get better. Fenton post office is by far the WORST service I've ever seen!!! read more

Just went to the Fenton Post Office for the first time in about 10 years (I moved) and I was blown away by the amazing customer service I received from Kurt. He was upbeat, looked for ways for me to save money with my shipments, showed me how to use the USPS app and was an all-around terrific person. I left feeling so GOOD! Thank you Kurt! read more

I avoid the post office when possible. Workers do not seem to enjoy what they do. Robots could do the same job, at least that has been my experience. My wife and I spend time in Florida during the winter and the Fenton post office cannot seem to get the mail forwarding correct. This year we made the request online and have two written confirmations, one via e-mail and the other by mail. However, they seem to have messed it up yet again - no mail for a week! read more

The guy that does the passports here does not know the rules. Came here to renew our teen's passport (18 yo) I did not bring birth certificate because I was told by another post office clerk (different location) that it was not needed. He told me that he would not process because I didn't have it....I told him that I didn't need it and tried to explain but he was simply rude and talked over me. I left the counter and called the State Dept. and they told me that the birth certificate was NOT needed for a former minor holding an old passport who is now 18. I went back in and told him what the State Dept. said and he continued to argue saying I would be taking a chance that my teen would not be able to get on the plane. He then went on to say that he would only submit it if he could write on the application that I "insisted on submitting app w/o birth certificate." I said no as it sounded inflammatory. Needless to say, I left the office and it was a total wasted trip. I went to the downtown Flint post office and they renewed the passport w/o the certificate (I even had it with me this time and they did not want it) They said that you only need it if they are 16 or younger for renewal. Not only does this guy not know the rules he makes a fool of himself behind the counter trying to be entertaining....maybe he should focus more on learning about passports. I would not recommend going here for passports. read more
