If I could give the USPS in Harker Heights a negative star rating I would give in a -10. I have a PO box and a redirect from my house in Harker Heights to my PO Box. On average, it takes 7 or more days for them to put new mail in my PO Box. I know this because I subscribe to the informed delivery service, so I know when the mail should have hit my home mailbox and forwarded to my PO Box. Complaining to the manager was like complaining to my dog. This USPS office is filled with inept people. They need to fire everyone and start over and not rehire anyone that is currently employed. But unfortunately, these are government employees and cannot simply be fired. read more

What they need is all the shipping supplies in the hall way, a machine to buy stamp booklets, a scale and machine that prints postage. Many post office have that. It cuts down the long lines when we can do that ourselves. Most post offices have the outside doors unlocked so you can ship your mail and packages 24/7. The counter lady named Makesha is very rude. She yelled at me in front of about 15 people accusing me of stealing a box. The box I brought in with me and clearly had old shipping labels on it. I showed her, no apology or anything. She just went back to doing what she was doing. Then I went back in two days later and had the lovely privilege of having her help me. No hello, how are you, or even a thank you or good bye. She did not even acknowledge me. Took my package, weighed it, and told me the price. She is an angry person who should not be in customer service. read more

They need to have a drop off box or container for those of us that use online service. They leave no room for us to drop prepaid boxes and their drop box is small! Killeen has big drop off boxes they need to do the same. read more

Went in to get a key for my mail box on 10/17/20 around 12:30pm and the man was SO rude. I stepped in the wrong place in line on accident, not knowing where the line started, and he started complaining about me to a costumer RIGHT IN FRONT of me. I was so mad but my husband told me to just stay quiet and not say anything but I was so mad I was shaking. So rude I can't even believe it. He was nice to everyone else but rude to us. Their # stays busy. You mine well put Do not call on there. The new post deliverer delivers mail how she wants it delivered time-wise. In my life history as a residence postal deliverers usually stick to a schedule. You know just about what time of the day they're coming. This new postal deliverer may come at 8:am and the next day at 3 Pm. The residence in this complex said it's usually been delivered by 8:30am. Then she has an attitude when she comes. read more

USPS is bad in general. I had a check that was stamped and mailed off to me on the 12 and got to USPS and scanned apparently on the Thursday according to informed Delivery. I expected it that day if not Friday. Still nothing on Friday so I waited the next day Saturday. Still nothing and at this point I'm worried and anxious. Yesterday still nothing so I sent an email off for help and still haven't got a message today and it's Tuesday. Try calling for help and tells me to go to missingmail site to request a search and the site doesn't work. I WANT MY CHECK. USPS definitely need to work on its dates and in informed Delivery service. Walked in door a few days ago about 4:45, a few people in line but they had 2 windows open and handled everybody quickly. In general, this location has improved, employees seem to be happier with their jobs than they used to be and thus are very friendly and helpful to customers. Thanks for improving! read more

This post office is so awful. My packages get lost or stolen. They get to the post office but from the post office to my house is where it happens. I have one still in transit and that's from months ago. It got to the post office and was on the truck and poof it's missing. I'm am very unhappy with them. Now I have to go there every day to pick up packages. Now they tell me I have to wait for the slip come on really. Get your act together guys this is really annoying read more

I moved to a house where there is a community mailbox section. A new key is issued each time there is a new tenant. I waited over 2 weeks to get any mail so I kept trying to call the post office itself. They NEVER answer the phone. The lines inside are ridiculously long and they never have all the clerks working at the same time. This place needs HELP! read more

some carriers leave mail boxes hanging wide open, i have a neighbor who has delivered our mail on several occasions ,found mail laying in front of my neighbors mail box with kwik lube coupons laying on the ground for two other addresses ( we never got ours) loads of our mail missing and never seen again some important while the majority is junk mail that businesses have paid to be mailed out , mail not being picked up if we have no out going mail ( flag is up) . what's going on selective mail being delivered ,is there some theft going on is there mail being dumped or thrown away, our home has our house number marked every where even painted on our driveway yet our mail is going somewhere else. there needs to be some investigation here it's that bad and yet they want more money and raise stamps for substandard work. we dread each day whether we will get our mail or our outgoing mail gets delivered, we have had a bill never make it to it's destination. read more

There are some things I am pretty disappointed in as far as a post office goes. I feel like it very important and it's the post office's responsibility to distribute mail appropriately. Whoever sorts mail and has it delivered needs to find a new job. I have had multiple packages not make it my house. Fortunately, whoever it keeps being delivered to is trustworthy and always makes sure I receive them, but I have had important packages sent to people I do not know which is very frustrating. The Hispanic Lady at the Counter is the rudest customer service worker I've ever experienced. She has the worst attitude, never greets anyone, and throws your mail at you. Please find her another position in the back where she won't run your customers off! read more

This is probably the worst post office ever. It never fails that my packages never get delivered to my address. I order online frequently and they always deliver my packages to the wrong address. Who ever it gets my packages never bothers to return them to me and then I have to wait for an investigation before I get shipped another one to replace the lost package. Their phone number is constantly busy. We moved in a week ago, have received mail and packages, and today they marked a package (from the same sender as another at the same time) as "undeliverable" because we "moved and left no forwarding address". No note, just returning it to sender. No attempt to knock on the door (we were home all day). We just moved IN and have our mail from our previous address forwarded HERE. Update: finally got a hold of someone who was able to help. Still frustrating...added one star back... They get another if it actually makes it here read more

This is probably the worst post office I've ever dealt with in my life and I'm from a large city. These people have attitudes and really think who the hell they are. Customer service is not their priority. They are totally disrespectful to you. They do not care about their jobs whatsoever. I ask for the easiest thing when I am forced to go into this place (I don't have a mailbox yet) but they ask like I'm asking them to do brain surgery. These people don't know what it is to work in a true busy post office like they have it in any major city. Maybe they should switch for even a day and they will learn to appreciate how they have it in a small little area. I seriously hope they are treated the same way when they go places. Beyond rude. I can't wait until I have a mailbox. I will make a point to never go into this place again. These people should be lucky anyone ever hired them with their rotten attitudes. In Harker Heights, TX, Postal carrier does not even try to deliver a package to a person. If the package does not fit in the box they leave notice in box. They should knock on the door and try to deliver it. No, they are too lazy for that. I sent a package to my son who is new in the area. Ok, put the address and phone number of the post office to pick up the package. I call the national 800 number and they tell me one place but it was another that actually had the package. I just hope he can get it safely. Yet another disappointing experience with the USPS. If I lived closer to a UPS location I would rather ship through them. My son tried to call from 4:55 to 5 pm and got busy signal , right at 5 he called and got no answer. Figures , phones off line until closing , typical of the post offices in the area. Killeen post office is just as bad and mail carriers are worse. I will make the 45 minute drive into town from now on to send him a care package so I can go to UPS. I prefer them . They deliver to your door and knock to let you know they are there. read more
