I'm Chinese, and the moment I stepped up to the counter, the woman working didn't greet me, didn't even look me in the eye--she just grabbed my mail and tossed it across the counter like it didn't matter. I couldn't catch all of it, but the tone was off, and I walked away feeling like I was being disrespected because of how I look. What really got to me is how she treated the customer before me totally normal--friendly, no attitude. I honestly left there feeling humiliated and angry. It felt personal.
