The lines are busy at peak times and days but each of the postal workers try hard to help move as fast as they can. The prices with the U.S. postal fees for stamps, and express mail services seem to change frequently. My main reason for visiting is to buy postal stamps to mail off cards. And to check that the cards I purchase have the correct amount with stamps. Mailing off cards, packages, or anything important will not arrive in a timely manner. My mail is always delayed from this post office if sending mail outside the U.S., West Coast, or the South. On a good note, mail arrives on time if it is within the local NYC area, not including NJ.

I get the card sent out from weeks ago which has now been voided (only after going to the window and insisting that I received a notification that I got mail). So maybe I'll receive the card (which I sent away for in December and this is the 5th time they sent it out) or maybe never. At least one of the times the card was intercepted (by postal workers?) and charges were run up. So maybe I'll get the card or maybe my time will continue to be wasted. She had about 5-6 people on line. When I walked in she had already stopped the line before a lady, making us three wait. Thank God for good people who were in front of them that they were able to help them. My service was clicking the qr code and giving me a receipt, So it wasn't as easy for them to help me although they felt bad. As a Female we know that if you have to go use the bathroom okay no problem but she said " no this was her break, and wasn't taking nobody else till she came back." How does one clock in and immediately take a break?! This post office either needs to hire more people or have a good long meeting with her about that. As Im standing here people are coming before work, from far, or just because they need one simple thing and have to walk out flabbergasted that she just clocked in and is already on break - is absurd. Frustrated I told her her that I was going to report her because this shouldn't be right. She had her name tag on before she went on break. As i'm standing there I was like " you know what, I dont feel like my package would be safe in her hands so I will proceed to wait and take her name when she comes back and go elsewhere. When she comes back she had taken off her name tag. Kindly asked her for her name 2 times and she ignored me. I then got frustrated and ended up taking a picture. Not sure what type of service this post office is running but honestly I do Not recommend this post office at all as long as she's there. 1 star because that's all i can do but 0 for her customer service and support.

This review is about a specific employee: a woman with big eyeglasses who sits near the door. She…read moreis hostile and incompetent. On this day she was wearing a white beret covered with hearts. When I walked in, there were two employees behind the counter. One was helping a customer. The other was Heart-Hat, who sat there scrolling on her phone and ignoring the customers standing in line. This went on for several minutes. I figured Heart-Hat was on break and the working employee would be helping me soon. So I took out my phone to check my email. Well, at some point Heart-Hat must have decided to get back to work. I looked up and she was snarling at me in a low voice: "I called you." I said, "Oh! I didn't hear you." Which I hadn't--I'm a senior with a hearing disability. She said to me in a nasty voice: "That's because you were on your phone." I reminded her that she'd been on *her* phone for a long time. Well, that really set her off. She started ranting and when I asked if she had Christmas stamps, she yelled "No!" At that point I moved to the next window to escape her anger. The friendly worker there showed me the many holiday stamps they indeed had, and also explained how I could buy other designs at the lobby kiosk. I confided to the friendly one, "You know, I've signed petitions in the past to save this post office." Heart-Hat shouted over at us: "Nobody cares!" This post office does still have helpful and kind employees. Just avoid the one with the big eyeglasses. She hates people and hates her job.

If you're expecting them to change anything about their service or how they run things, you're only going to upset yourself. Complaints get buried, notes do not get left on the door, and doors do not get knocked on. Especially on Fridays and saturdays. I just so happened to be in front of my building when they said they attempted delivery and they in fact never even came to the building door let alone the apartment door. Whoever "attempted delivery" had actually never stepped out of the truck. Try to order things using FedEx or UPS when you can.
