Kendall is 100% stealing my mail. Where the hell are the postal inspectors to deal with the hundreds of complaints about this entire peninsulas service? Every other day I hear another story about these postal workers stealing. This is getting fairly ridiculous. I'm shifting my business to ups and fedex. But it's still every other delivery to my house that something is missing. As for the employees who work there, they are fine but it seems overworked. Dropped off a package with a pre paid label - the line was out the door and the two workers were moving at a snails pace. The lady asked if I needed a receipt and I said no trying to be courteous to the other customers since I'm sure that would take her 10 minutes. Needless to say, my package was never scanned in. I'm pretty sure the woman stole it since the other worker said he remembered me while the woman conveniently ran in the back and stayed there when I came in to see if I can get camera footage. Inspector general should look into this place. Marking packages delivered that weren't delivered. Stating they attempted delivery when im home all day and no one came. The only hard worker at this place is the hispanic lady with the glasses that works the counter. She is very sweet. read more

Come early to avoid the lines. I have yet to wait a ridiculous amount but I'm sure in the near future I will fall victim to it. Its a small space. I've been to mail stuff, buy stamps and my passport interview...all without too much hassle. The service is typically government service- a hit or miss. Usually I escape without too much attitude. If you want a passport make sure you have the application and proper documents. Call to make an appointment and make sure you get there right on time. If you get there early as most reasonable ppl do ( literally got there 10 mins early) the guy at the counter will tell you that you are early but reluctantly will consider taking you...it took only 7 minutes...the agony! Overall? Its close and that means I'll come back and as uncomfortable as it is to even enter here I feel other post offices will be just as lackluster if not worst. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I was a regular here for years because I did not know about another post office by Breezy Point (which is about a 5 minute car ride from this location). Every time you go into this location its a line out the door and always 1 or 2 people working. What the hell? They have NO post office supplies so you need to wait on the long line, then when its your turn ask for the supplies, go fill out the information and then come back to the front of the line, get dirty looks by the other people waiting and then do your business. Its madness and whenever I did go there, everyone on line was pissed off and complaining about the lack of service. This location is a mess and has been for years. If you are in the area, skip it, and go to another location. It will save you time and stress from dealing with incompetent people. All the works have an attitude, work like they are in slow motion and just come off like jerks. I will say though that one of the people, the only female worker, is pretty nice, but the rest of them are idiots. Thank god I moved and no longer have to deal with this location. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The lady was so rude, that she literally walked away from me saying "oh my god".

For those of you who have left negative reviews about service over the past decade, let me tell you the rotten service here goes back at least to the mid 90´s. I was once a resident of Rockaway Park, lived off of Beach 116th Street. On numerous occasions I received the wrong mail. So in the spring of 1997 when a check from Blue Cross/Blue Shield was overdue, I kindly asked the mailman who was delivering mail at that time and by chance putting a piece of mail from the same insurance company in the mailbox of a neighbor (this was an apartment building), to make sure that piece of mail wasn´t for me. He became offended and narrowed his eyes and seethed. He comically said ``You accuse me``. The mail was in fact for the neighbor. Nothing further was said but this little low life, a small man from the Phillipines, later purposely folded my college grad photos that arrived in the mail with ´Do Not Bend´ printed on the envelope. He did this two or three times, when I went to the branch to complain with the damaged envelope and photos in hand a tall, thin, black male then in his 40´s, made excuses for him and did nothing. Ultimately, I had to have my photos sent to another address. Throughout the U.S. now the postal service is staffed by vicious and corrupt people like these two. The standards for government employees in America desperately needs to be raised. read more

My experience was very different from the reviews left previously. Was there on a Saturday and staff was courteous, helpful and attentive as I needed some extra help sending a package overseas. The line moved quickly and both workers moved efficiently and seemed invested. Perhaps this branch had a needed purge of bad staff since previous posts. read more

Worst post office I have every dealt with. My personal information was shared by postal carrier among neighbors -- absolutely disgraceful. I placed a mail hold and postal carrier delivered the mail anyway. I have had issues off and on for years with this branch and have stopped using them for my business because they are completely unreliable and arrogant when something goes wrong and confronted. The USPS should be ashamed of this branch and launch an investigation into the horrid service. I have had to report the poor service numerous times and now will be reporting this latest breach of service -- this is a government office, employees are well taken care of -- get it together or get out! read more

I work in Manhattan and order items on line often. On several occasions, I found out on the sellers Website that there was an attempt to deliver. I didn't know because the drivers didn't leave a 'delivery notice', and, as may know, they are supposed to do this. This service needs to improve! Also, something else need to improve; there have been occasions when, being in my apartment waiting for a delivery, the driver didn't ring the bell. Instead, they have left the packages, sitting outside, next to my building front door; I've noticed the packages have arrived, because either I go outside or a neighbor let me know. Don't worry drivers, you do not have to come three flights up (my building doesn't have an elevator), ring the bell, and I will go downstairs!!!!!! read more

This place sucks! Honestly need to shut down or get better workers. So slow, never fully working, lines be ridiculous no matter how early you come. This is by far the worst. For the for five or six months the tenents and myself had not been receiving all of our correct mail, yes I received some of my mail but alot of the time the mail is placed in other tenent's mail boxs. I am awaiting a package that was mailed out on 1/5/14 and today is 1/11/14 and I have not received the package as of this date. According to the sender I should have received the package on 1/9/14 or before that date. The problem seems to be that the mailer carriers are not bringing out the packages or leaving them in the wrong mail boxs. Some of the carriers are just not reading the names of the tenents just placing the mail in mail boxes. Today I checked my mail and found that all of the mail that was left prior had been removed by the carrier. Please help it is not fair that our mail is being misplaced and when packages are placed in the wrong mailbox the package is not given to the tenent that it belongs too we don't even know if the package is returned to the post office becasue no one left us information concerning our packagaes. I agree that there are never any supplies at this location. Same problem at the 91st st. & Rockaway Beach Blvd. branch but 91st st. tends to be fairly empty on the occasions I've been. My personal pet peeve- why do I seem to be the only one working to replace the FedEx drop boxes that were knocked out after Hurricane Sandy? Apparently, the homeowner needs to sign an agreement with FedEx allowing placement of said drop box on their property. Any takers out there? It drives me crazy to have to drive over a bridge to overnight a package & using US Express mail service is not an option after a nightmarish experience which is too long to go into here- suffice to say after being charged a fee to obtain the recipient's signature (which I had already paid for with the Return Receipt Requested service) and receiving an illegible signature, I will never use Express mail again!
