This review isn't about the McDonough P.O. or my carrier. My carries Steve is WONDERFUL! The USPS web site allows you to pay for and print you own labels. The problem is that after you have entered all the shipping and payment method on the site it doesn't print the label nor will it allow you to save as a PDF file - 1 of the label choices. I have cleared cookies, cach, etc. as USPS said and still have the issue. The USPS now has $45+ of MY $ and is going to take a minimum of 2 weeks to return my $ for which I have gotten nothing. Oh, and the kicker is that the $ will be returned only if they think it should be. Isn't it theft when you take something from someone and don't give them what you promised? DO NOT COME HERE. This was actually the worst service I have ever had. Maybe training could help address the lack of etiquette, but it could also be that the people working here were just having a terrible day and decided to take it out on the guests. After waiting a month for my appointment, I was met with attitude and misinformation (including being told certain forms didn't exist). Instead of helping, they made the entire process unnecessarily frustrating and uncomfortable. Maybe consider taking a mental health day before you ruin others. I am in disbelief at how terrible this experience was. Customer service is awfu. I had placed on a hold on my mail. The mail was not delivered on the date requested. I asked that they check and see if it was still there. Raul said he checked and could not find it. I showed a printout of the tracking of the mail showing that it was to be delivered 10 days ago and part of the hold package. There were important documents being held; bills, insurance documents, etc. Amazing that the junk mail was delivered but not the true US mail. Raul said it was the Processing Center's fault. This is the first time in 35 years that I have not had my City of McDonough bills delivered. I have mailed documents from this post office and they never made it to the destination. Someone needs to investiage this post office and its workers. It's a horrible reflelction of the US mail delivery . I do not mail any documents from McDonough. I take them to Hampton, Stockbridge or even take them to the airport. Never mail anything important from McDonough. read more

For the past month the postal clerk has been leaving packages that were too big on the freakin curb under the mailbox. Not stepping out the truck and putting the package on my porch or by my garage. I came home yesterday at 6:45 pm and a 1500 watch had miraculously survived not being stolen. A true testament to my little neighborhood. What is happening at the mcdoñough post office??? One worker shouted "white privilege" another worker called and lied on a 911 call making a non emergency complaint.... Absolute chaos and ridiculousness. We went on Monday 12/9 to have a letter sent certified / priority two day shipping , expected delivery was Wednesday . It's now SATURDAY & still hasn't been delivered !!! What did we pay $15 for ??? Tracking had said it would be delivered by 1:45pm today (Saturday ), now it defaulted to 9pm. Where we are having it sent isn't open past 3pm so it's obviously not going to get during today that puts us to Monday , ONE WEEK ! We should have just did this ourselves ! I dislike the fact I have to give a star at all. Every time and I mean every time I come to this USPS location clerk 23 is very unprofessional and rude. She can be seen in the picture I've posted. She will let the line build take her time and even talk to other co workers while they are doing their jobs with complete disregard to the customers. Then have an attitude when you go to her window. I'm not sure if it's because she has seniority at this location or what but they need to relieve her of her duties and allow someone to come in that uphold the USPS values. read more

This has to be the worst Post Office in the entire country! Rude employees that I guess a union protects and covers for their pensions having not a single umf of care for customers. Their delivery personnel are another case as well. Many homes these days have security cameras for package protection amongst other issues. The drivers at this location seem to think these cameras don't exist. How in the hell do they drive by your box with nothing blocking it and later say they had issues delivering your parcel. Fire them all. Give them an incentive to work hard and understand they serve the public! read more

What does it take to receive a response to a hardship request? Two letters have been sent to the post office requesting a mailbox close to the front door - one from her family doctor and one from the mail recipient. Her mail carrier got wind of the request and said she would follow up on the request also. A month has gone by and nothing.....I just don't understand the lack of empathy by this agency! We've been here to get our passport paperwork done. We come here to pick up mail. I go here to mail letters and packages and buy fancy stamps. I needed a letter certified. The gentleman game me the slips to fill out and was very clear on the directions. He then told me where to wait when I was done, so I didn't have to get back in the original line. Ms. Phedra was very personable assisting me in mailing my package. She was friendly and even though they were very busy she stopped to get me rubber bands. Although this seems like a small gesture to many, in this day and age any person going above aMs beyond needs to be acknowledged. I hate the USPS in McDonough!! I just moved here two weeks ago and this place so far is the WORST!!!! The mail carrier that delivers my mail is sooooooo LAZY! I scheduled a pickup for today and the mail delivery driver didn't even pick it up! They just dropped off the mail in the mail box! Mind you but where I live my mail box is at the end of the street so it's a good walk to get there! just don't understand why she didn't pick up my packages! I want my mail delivered, Had 6 packages missing in 6 weeks, I was told to drop in mail slot and not bring to counter because I run a small online business and I guess we were bringing to much mail to the counter. Started dropping mail in mail slot, and some of my mail is not getting scanned in and is missing. Filed a claim and was told that due to COVID and not enough employees that mail was delayed. One package was missing since 6 weeks ago, other are a month to 2 weeks missing. Something isn't right at the location. I am complaining to anyone I can until they investigate this problem. The customer support and customer service at this facility is pathetic. I just sat on the phone on hold for 28 minutes after I called 19 times to get through. After 28 minutes I needed to take care of a customer who entered our place of business so I had to end the call. This call was made after three visits to the post and multiple other phone calls to the phone number I was given to accomplish getting our new address validated (address was new in June, issued by the county) I attempted to mail via USPS a package to the address and was unable to because the address is still not valid in the system and I could not print the mailing label. The part that makes me angry or maybe sad is the person I called at the post office assured me that he had done his job and confirmed the new address had been added to the AIM. Evidently not if I still cannot ship to the address. The above comes after I visited this same post office, stood in a very long line for a very long time and handed to a USPS agent an official change of address form for the business address we moved from. To date we still have not received any of the mail that should have been forwarded after I submitted the change of address. I have received multiple phone calls from vendors in the area we moved from telling me that something they had sent me had been returned with "address unknown or no forwarding information" stamped on it. This tells me that the person I handed the official change of address form to did not do their job either. God Bless America and the United States Postal Service, perhaps prayer can clean up the mess its in :( read more

This location closes every day for an hour and fifteen minutes but then has lines of 30 people waiting over and hour while they are open. Only 1 or 2 tellers working. The automated machine is down. I just cannot believe that they think this kind of service and wait times are acceptable? Where is the manager? Why aren't they making any attempt to improve the situation? read more

This post office has helpful and knowledgeable staff. The lines can get pretty long, but that is no fault of the employees. The best times to go are when they first open or right before they close. The staff has given me tips on packaging and ways to send items that provided a cost savings many times. Monday's, lunch time, and right before or after a major holiday are the worst times to go. This post office does have a kiosk available as well. read more

What's happening to my mail?? I check Informed Delivery every day and some of the mail shown never makes it to my house. Last week ID showed that my Medicare Premium Bill and GA DNR Boat Registrations were both in line for delivery. I haven't received either, even though it's been a week now. Since my Medicare Premium was due, I had to call them and pay online to avoid losing coverage. I'm still waiting for the DNR registration bill. On August 18 I mailed my EMC electric bill (it was picked up from my mailbox). This week I received an "overdue" notice with a $10 late penalty. Again, I had to call and pay online to avoid having my power turned off. My local newspaper should come every Wednesday and Saturday, but is usually a couple of days late, I rarely receive mail on Friday or Saturday. One of my carriers is delightful and often brings me mail that I have been missing. Due to age and handicaps my mailbox is beside my carport rather than on the street. Thank you McDonough Post Office for NOT delivering my mom's birthday cards, thank YOU for delivering our bank/credit card statements and utility bills 2 months later and costing my elderly mother over $100 in late fees! This is the worst Post Office in Georgia.(McDonough). I ordered something a month ago and when I tracked it , it said it was in Morrow,Ga.Well it was in Morrow for about a month and never got it. Now I ordered something from New Jersey and tracked it. Tracking said it would be delivered on Aug.21st. now it says it will be late. On Aug.7th ordered something in N.C and was supposed to be here in 5 business days, when I track it ,since Aug.13 it tells me its late and still in transit. This is real BULLSHIT.
