Terrible Terrible experience: We set up an appointment this…read morepast Saturday for passports, we got there early, and as we went to the window the, person there not only informed us that the person we were suppose to be seeing, and the only one to handle passports at this location not only called out, but Was clear to mention how unreliable she was, and also warned us that more than likely if we came back it would more than likely happen again and recommended that we go to the probate court to get our passports taken care of. I have been here for countless things over the years from pick-ups to drop offs, to claims to address updates. Never had any issues with service. The processes can be cumbersome, but that is just the government end of it. Given its size and location, this place stays busy, so there are never any "quick trips" in and out here, especially on the weekends, so give yourself time. Parking is plentiful and the overall layout inside and out is easy to navigate. Overall, decent USPS office location.

I called the location directly explaining my situation and begging to please keep the appointment. They told me there was a 5 minute grace period otherwise I'd have to reschedule. I made it by the skin of my teeth. I had the form printed out, my passport card, the lost /stolen form because I lost my book in a move, a copy of my marriage license, social security card, and birth certificate. As well as the originals for all. I also already had my photos taken and present as well. I was then told that because I had the wrong form filled out that they couldn't help me and that I had to make a new appointment because they didn't have the time due to the next appointment at 11am. The "11am" did not show. So I walked back in at 11:05am asking if the 11am was available. A man at the counter aggressively told me "we don't do that. If you missed your appointment you have to make another one." The manager, the lady processing passports and that man were all standing around socializing, doing nothing when i came back in and there were no customers to be waited on besides myself. This was after the manager told me that she was on a call and I didn't have everything ready so she couldn't help me either. The dismissiveness, lack of customer service, engagement and empathy was frankly some of the worst I've seen. Not to mention the superiority complex and rudeness was unnecessary.

On March 17th 2023 I went to the Sharpsburg post office to mail some documents internationally by…read moreusing tracking for the envelope. I stood in line and as soon I got to the window the employee suggested me what envelope to buy. I bought the envelope and proceeded to add my documents in the envelope that I bought and starting to close the envelope. The employee stated that I need to purchase a standard grade water activated reinforced packing tape. I asked if she provided the tape or does the USPS sells it! She proceeded to tell me to go to Staples to purchase it because they do not sell it or provide it. I went to Staples and found a stronger reinforced packing tape which I purchased it and returned to the post office. I got back in line and saw the same employee who told me to go to Staples. I started using the tape I purchased and she told me that it is the wrong tape and the post office will not ship my envelope. I got real frustrated and angry with her. Another female employee overheard our conversation and got me a piece of the tape I needed to purchase. The 2 employees not only lied to me, but send me to a goose chase all over Fayetteville County in Peachtree City to find that specific tape that their USPS policy states. That post office and those 2 employees had the tape in hand, but failed to help this customer to expedited my shipping needs. I asked them why they did not sell the tape in rolls? They sell envelope,boxes,stamps,etc, but not tape. One of them told me I had a hostile attitude! I told her I was frustrated and angry at their customer service! I took my business to Newnan post office and they helped me with my shipping need and they had that tape! If I could give one more less star I would! Unprofessional customer service for Sharpsburg Post Office! Never doing business with them except receive my mail home due to my Sharpsburg address!

Needed mail some items and this post office was in route between my locations. It's not my regular…read morepost office so this was my first time in. Like many post offices in this part of GA, the building is dated. They have a self-service machine in the lobby if you'd like to bypass the line. I went inside to be helped by someone. There was no clear line and people were just standing wherever. Once I started asking people if they were "in line" they started moving to form something that resembled a line and indicated who was in which position--helpful. The worker who I got was a little dry/brash on initial interaction. I complimented her hair and that lightened the mood. Rather than asking me to make selections at certain steps, she hurried me through the process by just instructing me what to push on the screen/pad, and asking me an overarching question: "do you want to send these the least expensive way?" And then she just clicked thru until it was time for me to pay. Overall, it was a quick enough experience. They could likely use more workers. There were only two out front and a growing line.

This is my local post office. It's usually a good experience in terms of friendly workers. However,…read morethe place is very lowly lit and lightly cleaned. The time of day will dictate whether you have a long wait or not. I appreciate that they have a self-service machine in the lobby for you to mail your own packages, which is very helpful when there is a long line. Lately, they no longer display which stamps they have in stock in the display cases. When there is a long line, I like to browse the stamps in the case to help pass the time. It also helps me decide which ones I want to purchase...but now you just have to ask the teller what's in stock and go back and forth with them while they check.

I am 73 and have the difficulties that come along with age. One lady and one man who were waiting…read moreon customers were very snippy at moments. I really think this office needs some training in dealing with all human beings.
