Needed mail some items and this post office was in route between my locations. It's not my regular…read morepost office so this was my first time in. Like many post offices in this part of GA, the building is dated. They have a self-service machine in the lobby if you'd like to bypass the line. I went inside to be helped by someone. There was no clear line and people were just standing wherever. Once I started asking people if they were "in line" they started moving to form something that resembled a line and indicated who was in which position--helpful. The worker who I got was a little dry/brash on initial interaction. I complimented her hair and that lightened the mood. Rather than asking me to make selections at certain steps, she hurried me through the process by just instructing me what to push on the screen/pad, and asking me an overarching question: "do you want to send these the least expensive way?" And then she just clicked thru until it was time for me to pay. Overall, it was a quick enough experience. They could likely use more workers. There were only two out front and a growing line.

The office was extremely organized and was set up with greeting cards, mailing supplies, priority envelopes, etc. The employee also made sure she greeted everyone as they came in and she appeared to truly enjoy her job. Although she was the only one in the front, she did not appear to be overwhelmed or rush the interaction. She was also very helpful with my stamp purchase and shared a stamp that was not on display that I ended up purchasing. I was surprised to see the low rating that they had. You're going to wait at the DMV and the Post Office but if you receive a positive experience don't take it out on the employees, most of the time it's unprepared customers.

When questioned, they claim the "systems are already shut down," yet it is clear they are still assisting customers inside.
