There was only one person working with a long line. She waited until I had been there for a few minutes and said I couldn't be in there with my bicycle. I had not seen a bike rack and can't afford to have my bike stolen, that's why I kept it with me. I asked her if there was a place to secure my bike, she said no. There was zero issue with me having my bike, it wasn't dirtying the floor or hitting anything or anyone, it's also pretty small. I was denied services for having a bike which seems pretty ridiculous when there's no place to secure it outside. Feels classist. Based on the reviews you guys can't afford to turn away customers, especially over someone's perceived class status. read more

Mail Person could not fit light package in the mailbox so he left it on the ground instead walking it to the front porch as most people do. Fortunately it did not rain or the winds were not high enough to carry it down the street. This is so lazy and inconsiderate. read more

The "last pickup time" labels on the drops in the building are meaningless. I put a parcel in the parcel drop box yesterday at about 4 pm. The label says last pickup 7 pm. As of 4 pm today, 24 hours after I dropped 3 hours before last pickup, there is not a single scan. I asked the big dumb person at the counter why that is. She said, they empty that at 5 pm. Ok, well that doesn't answer my question, but it gives rise to a new question: Why does last pickup say 7 pm if you're emptying it at 5 pm? She replied, "That's not my job". A complaint for Laura or Linda(white, blond, senior but extremely rude with racism lady) from USPS Neil Street and S Mattis Ave, Champaign, IL office. as a USPS long-term customer and might be one of the biggest USPS users in town for the past 7 yrs., I routinely go to USPS office and spend a lot on the postage almost every day. I just want to express my top concern and extremely awful experience with your employee-Linda?- the white, blond, short hair with eyeglasses. As of today, by sending you the official report about so many similar incidents happened in the past, what happened to me incurred by this senior lady should never happened to other customers under any circumstances. If she is confirmed to have the mental illness or disability, to leave this job seems to be the only option to the customers' service quality and safety. All the following statement are based on the true facts have repeated happened at Champaign Neil & Mattis Ave USPS office. Incident #1: Refuse to serve without obvious reasons. After a long waiting in a rush business day morning, it is my turn to pass my package to her hands, what happened is going to shock every one: she threw my large package into her basket with a mad face look and immediately went back to the back office/warehouse without any explanation or response, after being hanging on the counter for over 2 mins and I have to ask what is going on, still no response, therefore I have to spend more time to ask other clerks to help me to process and give me the tracking No, until I left, she still didn't appear, let alone the apologies. I reported this incident to Neil street supervisor/manager/clerk, this is what I have been told:" we can only have a talk with her and we couldn't control her behavior". Incident #2: Make an inappropriate judge and gossip on me in front of her coworkers and other customers. When my large package was processed by other clerks, she gossiped to other co-worker in front of me in a loud and clear voice: "He used the discounted stamps which can save a lot of money, we don't allow to use the stamps in our office". This is so humiliating and put her underqualified for this job. It is the customer's freedom to use whatever she likes; it is no wonder that she refused to serve me last time, her next-door coworker has to only nod head and couldn't comment. Incident #3: Awful attitude Experienced by her awful attitudes, I tried to avoid using her service even though it takes me more longer waiting time. Once there are no other clerks but her, she didn't speak any single words but with a mad face. I tried to keep silent all the time to avoid any future encounters with her, clearly, I am not her husband, and I am just a customer to face her annoying and mad face. Incident #4: Poor Job performance and not being trained or familiar with the job-related business for several times 4a. For the same type of package, other regular workers would spend no more than 2 mins for processing, however, it took her over 6 mins average and come up with a wrong calculation to overcharge me, I have to show her math by using the calculator which is totally a waste of time. 4b. She often told me my postage is not enough, I have to correct and direct her: "if you flip the package over, it is a mediate flat rate written on the box instead of the priority mail" . 4c. Once I was sick to ask others help me deliver and my package was unfortunately processed by her. She told the same package' postage is not enough after my previous reminders, so my friend trust her and has to drive back to me, and send the package again, which wasted the customers' gas, time and energy. I know USPS is using the national pension system which means, unless the employee made huge criminal mistakes/records, she/he might be discharged from USPS and otherwise working forever no matter how awful the working attitudes, how poor the job performance, and how much unfairness or annoying looks and mad appearance that the customers have to face. I am very disappointed at this time moment, not to intentionally let somebody who is definitely unqualified to leave this forever stable job, but it is so sad to see that you cannot control your employee's inappropriate behavior, it is definitely the cancer and will be a shame for USPS. read more

I had the displeasure of meeting the Karen Yesenia referenced. She managed to turn a simple return into a completely condescending and overly difficult process. It honestly makes me sad knowing these people exist, she seems totally miserable and takes it out on others. Seriously, just go to the one further south on Green St where the employees are so much nicer and treat you like a human. read more

The absolute worst experience at a postal station hands down. Clerks are rude, and short fused. ...I asked a question about the charges and the clerk went into a tirade that.."...you should know what you want before you come here." Now I know why people do NOT use this location. This is my last and final trip here, I"ll go to Mattis or Savoy. If this was the only time I had poor service I would not leave this review, ....finally gave up on this location. read more

I am so upset with this location. I mail things quite frequently for work, am real into thank you cards, receive many Amazon packages, etc. I understand that the USPS has all of town to care for and that is a challenging feat! I commend them for that because I know I could never do so. BUT in terms of curtsy they are severely lacking. I moved to a new apartment in August. I have been receiving the previous tenements mail for months. I tried everything they said online (put a note in the mailbox, call the Post Office, mail back the mail with "return to sender" "wrong address", and more) and I still am receiving her mail. She moved out of the country so there is nothing I can do. Okay. Understandable. Annoying, but I get it. What frustrates me is this week I have had two packages not delivered. One was personalized wedding invitations and the other was something I needed for work. Again, things get lost, not too attached to the items I just need them eventually. But when I talked to a woman at this location she continued to tell me it was my fault. I don't have my name on the mailbox. I persisted that I did and she continued to lecture and raise her tone that I did not have my name on the mailbox. I politely told her that maybe I was wrong and asked if there was anything I could do to make sure I am receiving my mail in the future in addition to the name. And she continued to make me feel like an idiot. I drove straight home to find my name on my mailbox! From now on I won't be able to send my mail to my own address for fear of losing it. Like what is the convenience of door to door shipping if I have to send all of my packages to work or get a P.O. Box? If the woman working at this location had been kind and understanding and still communicated that there was nothing she could do I would have given this experience 4 stars. But because she continued to berate me under the impression that I must be a naive young adult this review gets 2 stars for lack of good customer service. Note: I did not attach my photo proof of my name in my mailbox for privacy. But right after our encounter I took a huge pink note card and wrote my name largely on it and stuck it on my mailbox... and took a picture so I can send it when they tell me my name is not on it. read more

I constantly go into this post office to mail things out and almost every time I've been in there, an older lady with blonde hair working at the front has gotten into an argument with a customer. I don't mean any kind of argument. She is extremely hostile to the point where she's shaking. She never lets the person finish and won't even let them speak to the manager. Even when there are other employees around watching things unfold, they don't try to help the customer out either. I was in there last winter and she was accused of being racist. I'm sorry but why work a customer service job if you're going to be an a-hole to customers? It's not our fault you aren't retired yet. My father is a post master and trying to reach out to him to see how I can talk to someone to file a complaint. read more

I was very pleased with the excellent customer care that I received at this branch. I came in to mail a birthday card to a young boy and wanted a special stamp. There was no one behind me in line. Brian pulled out a binder with all the different stamps available and spent time showing me the different options. He even remembered that a new set of stamps with Matchbox cars had come in, and he quickly pulled them from a nearby supply cabinet. read more

I cannot begin to explain my disliking for this post office. Lets go through the series of events. One. They lost my mom's package, and could only compensate with a picture of the package that they had. The lack of organization they have astounds me. This package was worth roughly $120. It took them over 2 months to the the package found and delivered, there was not a single apology muttered. Two. I house sit for my neighbor while he is out of the country. That being said, he gets several packages delivered filled with books from other countries. I was told in order the pick up the packages they refused to deliver, even with my permission to do so, I must have a letter and copy of his ID in order to pick up the packages they had for him. Ok. Fair enough. BUT THEN IT GETS WORSE. I drive all the way back across town with said letter, to pick up the four international packages they have told me they have. I spoke with two people about this. They had the packages available on Thursday. But when I came back on Tuesday, they vanished. Nobody could find them and nobody could offer an explanation. Ridiculous. So. Instead of bringing out the manager she had claimed was there, when I was clearly upset, she wrote down a name that isn't legible, and told me to call back in the morning before 8 am. "Talk to the post master." Was all she said before dismissing me. I cannot explain how horrible the costumer service and organization in this wretched building is. The "lobby" is cluttered and crammed, and I would honestly rather spend my time at the former mold ridden DMV then ever step foot in the infuriating Post Office. They seem to lose packages and can't provide explanation. This is not acceptable. Parking and access are horrid. I just cannot find one redeeming quality. For a government facility, you would expect more. But I suppose because it is a government facility they are taught not to care about their jobs and services. read more

I am disable and my mail box is by my fount door. I had my flag up to pick up my bills that needs to be paid. when I called the post master said that they didn't have to pick up my mail if i didn't have mail to be delivered. What the hell. When you have mail in your box that has to be picked up and your flag is up they are supost to pick it up. Regardles if you have mail or not. All it is the mail man didn't want to get out of his truck and walk his lazy ass to pick up my mail. read more

Tiny little parking lot with a few metered spots out front. My mom pulled into a handicap spot to drop me off and then looped around until a fully accessible spot opened. I popped in and there was a bit of a line. It was the holidays and a number of people seemed to be shipping out packages or picking up packages. The staff worked thru the line very efficiently.
