This Post Office is located just off of the bypass not far from the massive Bullsboro intersection. It is a larger location, and is the main hub for the city of Newnan. I have been here for countless things over the years from pick-ups to drop offs, to claims to address updates. Never had any issues with service. The processes can be cumbersome, but that is just the government end of it. Given its size and location, this place stays busy, so there are never any "quick trips" in and out here, especially on the weekends, so give yourself time. Parking is plentiful and the overall layout inside and out is easy to navigate. Overall, decent USPS office location. read more

Absolutely horrible place. I walked up to counter, nobody on line. Handed the "worker" a postage paid envelope which I have been doing for 15 years and was told she was not allowed to take it. I had to use the machine. Okay, so I go to the machine which had an error message snd was spinning. I've lived in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Cleveland and I have never once had an issue with the postal service getting my mail to my creditors. To date this Newnan post office has lost my mortgage payment, my utility payment, a credit card payment and now my car payment. The car payment was mailed on 5/25/23 and was due 6/19/23. Today, 6/20/23, the payment has not yet arrived and now I'll be charged with a late payment fee. Not to mention that I now have to stop payment on the first check and issue another payment. This Newnan post office is by far the worst I've ever seen. I think new management is in order !!! read more

I had no issues at this post office. I run an online business, so I just used the self-service kiosk to print shipping labels. Face masks were required due to COVID, and social distancing was strongly enforced. I look forward to visiting this post office again if I am in the area read more

I love this post office location because they leave the lobby open for dropping off packages after hours! With that being said, sometimes inconsiderate people jam the the drop box and leave it where others cannot drop off items. Unfortunately this is the only way to mail something after hours, so when this happens I have to return the next day and try again. Aside from that, every interaction I've had with the workers here has been a good one. They always ask how my day is going and they try to go through the lines as fast as possible. read more

Imagine this if you will...it is 2021 and a package was sent via USPS Priority Mail 2 day delivery on April 27 from Gilbert AZ costing over $14 with expected delivery date of April 30th. The package left Gilbert AZ at 5:19pm to Phoenix AZ where it was received then shipped out on April 27th at 11:40pm. That was the last time it has been scanned in. After numerous calls to the post office...I have come to the conclusion that our system needs to be totally revamped. Do NOT tell us that a package should take 2 days and cost more than ground service. Instead please tell us we are going to charge you more money and may or may not deliver your package within 30 days. That is what I was told PRIORITY MAIL SERVICE has before they think it may be lost. Come on man! This package was to be delivered in Newnan, GA and I understand it is not their personal fault. My elderly mother got a letter from Dr to have her mail delivered to a mail box in her yard since the Rd is a quarter mile from house. She got the mail at house for about 4 months then after getting a new mail man he put a very rude letter in the box at Rd stating . There's more than one person getting mail at this address so they can get it at Rd.. all the mail in others name doesn't even live at the address anymore.hasnt for yrs . I have lived on Raymond Hill for many years, gotten many packages and letters without issue. The last 2 years have been awful, my mail on the ground in the rain, delivered to address across the street several times read address backwards, left packages on top of mailbox stuff like that. Last 3 months ive had packages returned to sender, mail returned to sender including a court document and social security documents. Well now i get no mail at all, have been to post office 4 times to complain and was told i dont know what to tell you or what you want me to do about it! Time and time again I have problems with the pathetically and absurdly incompetent US Postal Service . It seems like every third package that is sent to me goes into one of my area's two parcel Bermuda Triangles, the Atlanta Regional Distribution Center or the Newnan Post Office. Most of the trouble with the Newnan office is with the worthless letter carriers who just shove mail in my street's mailboxes with no regard to the recipient's name or address. It's as if they expect the entire neighborhood to meet in the street and hand each other their mail. If I get a parcel that is too large for my mailbox, the lazy, overpaid, union-protected package-smasher will drop it on the ground two or three feet short of my covered porch, so that it is sure to get soaked by one of our frequent pop-up afternoon rain storms. Yesterday, I was treated to a new (for me) annoyance. I was supposed to receive a parcel according to their "Informed Delivery" service, to which I am a subscriber. After receiving updates that it was "Out For Delivery" in the AM, the status abruptly changed to "Held At Post Post Office, At Customer Request" at 13:18. I made no such request. It is still showing that status this morning. Hopefully someone will answer the phone at 08:30 when they allegedly open for business so that I can find out how to take possession of my package. PS: if you have the misfortune of having a package sent to you via UPS SurePost or FedEx SmartPost, good luck. Both of those cheapo services use the stinking Post Office for local delivery. Any delay is ALWAYS in the USPS system. I've had packages handed off to the Atlanta USPS from the west coast in just 2-3 days and then take an additional week to travel the 30 miles from Atlanta to my home. Hilariously bad!!! The one older white lady is willing to do the job, and will go so far as to be helpful... Everyone else hates your guts, is tired, and doesn't want to see your face. It makes the DMV seem like an afternoon at six flags. I have considered moving to Sharpsburg for the sole fact that their Post office is sooo nice! I made a passport appointment over a month ago, and rescheduled my entire week around the appointment only to show up and find out that all appointments that day had been canceled. I received NO notifications or communication about this and am expected to be able to come in tomorrow instead with no flexibility without making a new appointment another month away. This post office is apparently incompetent. Numerous people in the neighborhood have had issues with mail/packages not being delivered. I mailed out a card with a gift card in it a week ago and it has not arrived yet to the recipient. I honestly feel there is mail theft going on. I don't feel comfortable mailing packages/money/gifts from here. I would go to fed ex or ups before going through USPS. We are constantly receiving mail in our mailbox that is addressed to someone else. I have called the Supervisors at the local Post Office on Postal Parkway and they don't offer any hope. They say they will speak to the mail delivery person for our neighborhood, but that hasn't improved the situation. We are concerned because if they are constantly delivering other peoples' mail to our box, how much of our mail is going to somebody else's box? I have even had a Supervisor say that the problems are because of the new management. This makes me believe that our mail delivery problems might be intentional, and that the poor service might be a way to get back at the management. read more

USPS on Postal Parkway is my post office and I wish they would hire literate employees that could actually read the numbers on mail and mailboxes. I never have the same carrier and the ones I do have cannot deliver my mail to the correct address. What do they do other than joy ride all day? It is shameful that these new employees cannot do their job. They are constantly misplacing packages whose contents I paid for but cannot receive because the postal carriers cannot read numbers correctly. Constantly changing carriers, some of which won't deliver packages but rather return them to the post office instead. Some days not enough drivers to even handle a apartment community delivery. Poor service when they even show up, and throw mail down on the desk and not pick up any out going mail. Time to dismantle the postal service and send the business to UPS, Fed-ex or another delivery service. read more

I rarely leave YELP reviews, so you know that I must have had a really bad experience to go out of my way to leave one. I ordered a package off of ebay, it was marked as delivered on the 8th, but I never received the package. I opened a case at the Resolution Center on Ebay and I was told that I needed to contact USPS, so I did just that and opened a case at their customer care center on the 12th. They told me that they'd contact me about my case in 2-3 BUSINESS days, which they didn't. Instead I had to call them on day 4 where I was told that their looking into my case was 8 hours overdue and that I could escalate my case to their district offices, which I was told would take another 2-3 business days to resolve. Anyways, I received an email this morning that I should call my cities local post office, which I did and they pretty much told me I'm S.O.L. and that the only option I had was to contact the sender so they can open a claim on USPS. Guess what, that's probably not going to happen because on ebay's end the item was marked as delivered even though I never received it. So I paid for something I never received and neither side can do anything about it, but is pointing fingers at the other side. Incompetent! My neighborhood has a clusterbox. What I think probably happened is that the USPS person put my mail in another persons mailbox, but I have no way of knowing who that is. read more

This is the absolutely WORST post office imaginable. I have lived in Newnan for 11 years and services continue to be absolutely rotten. I live in the suburbs and for some reason we do not have a regular mail person. The mail route has no definitive delivery time, we have literally expected packages from tracking information, watched the mail person not deliver the package, get into our vehicle to stop the mail carrier to REQUEST our package. The female on duty that day stated that she was not feeling well that day and did not want to get out of the vehicle to deliver it to our home. She actually told us this thinking we would understand, I suppose. Other instances have been when we were expecting packages, they would leave green slips stating they tried to deliver the package but we were not available to receive it or the location was inaccessible. These are of course lies. We operate a work from home business and we are always home and rely heavily on our mail and packages that keep our business in operation. The customer service both by phone and in person is absolutely awful. These are very rude front desk attendants that could care less about resolving issues. We have had to re budget now to use other carriers that are more expensive but they are more reliable when delivering goods to our customers as well as receiving our packages. If you don't know why the Post Office is on the chopping block, now you do. The Federal Government should take over this entity, fire all of the current workers and hire Federal workers who will do these jobs with honor. We now use FedEx, UPS and DHL services. Only junk mail is delivered by the United States Postal Service. Goodluck! read more
