The line, if there ever is one, is rarely more than two. Things move quickly, but you don't feel rushed. The postal people offer advice on best package rates, and arrival dates. They are very accommodating when I can't decide which new stamp style I want to buy, and show me everyone i ask about. The downtown post office is a little bit closer to my location, but I really do prefer Somers Post Office.

This place feels like small town, USA...I loved my two minutes in this location but I wished it was longer. The workers in here were so efficient that they got me in and out within a flash. Yes this will not happen in downtown Chicago...I usually have to wait in line for 30 minutes just to get service but not here. The old guy waiting behind me walked up to the counter and the lady behind the counter said, "You need one first class stamp!" She actually knew what the guy wanted before he got to the counter. He probably stops in every day just to buy one stamp. How cute is that? I can hardly wait to come back here. I may just get in my car and drive all the way here from downtown Chicago...it actually might be faster. Really!!!

POST IT This post…read moreoffice is completely hidden in the corner of a strip mall. I caught it out of the corner of my eye. I drove in to drop off my mail and when I went to check in on Yelp the location didn't even exist. Now I know why no one was here because if its not on Yelp, then it doesn't exist. So look out US Postal workers because you've been listed and the Yelpers are coming. We're also gonna ask you to weigh packages. Ha! This place was completely empty. I can't stand going to Chicago post offices anymore because it usually takes 45 minutes to get in and out. So it would be worth it for me to drive here and back to Chicago in order to mail my packages. I found it funny that it closes at 4:30pm on Mon to Fri but my mail is picked up at 5pm inside. Is there a party going on for that half hour? How do I get in to the locked building to drop off my mail, after 4:30? Why wouldn't they just list mail pick up at 4:30pm? Kudos to however this library is being funded. 2) The books are taken care of. They don't look like they've been sitting untouched for decades. They look clean and in good condition. 3) Checkout is a breeze. You can be checked out or you can enjoy self checkout by scanning your card at a separate kiosk type deal near the counter. 4) You don't have to visit the library to checkout books! The Racine Public Library has an online checkout process that allows us to checkout electronic copies of popular books and read them on our devices. 5) You don't have to visit the library to return books you checked out at the library. There are drop boxes around the city where you can return books although it seems like they move from time to time. I thought there used to be one by Kohl's Food. I also thought there used to be one near Starbuck by the post office. Recently though, I found it at Lockwood Park on Ohio. All more convenient than going downtown to return books. 6) This library partners with other area libraries so you aren't limited to what is in the Racine location. 7) Location, location, location! It's so nice to have that whole wall of sunshine while shopping for books. This library is a very welcoming environment where you want to sit and read or research for a while. If you sit near the lake, it's a beautiful view you simply cannot beat.

Employee was late to work. The store opens at 8:30 AM. I arrived at 8:45 AM to a line of 2 people…read morein front of me because of the store was still locked and black inside with the gates down. I waited 15 minutes and chose to leave and come back later. I called the store several times to ensure they would be when I returned. Someone did not answer the phone until 10:15 AM. I confronted the clerk and asked what time the store open. She proceeded to tell me 8:30 AM. I said that's funny, I was waiting in line outside earlier and nobody was here at 9 AM. She just gave me a dirty look with no answer. As I was leaving, I heard a gentleman walk in and also made a comment of "Oh you're finally open, Nobody was here this morning" And the clerks response was sorry about that. USPS needs to address employee punctuality. Also she tried to charge me $70 (cheapest) to ship a package that maybe weighed 5lbs. I walked out. Unacceptable customer service.
