Here for Texas Tech graduate graduation ceremony on a Thursday evening. Wayyy easier than the undergrad ceremony with less people. Parking was easy and going through the security screening was easy. Clear bag rule in effect and no food/beverages from outside allowed. Heck even an umbrella got snagged! The area was clean with great lighting and this time the template wasnt freeze to death cold. Restrooms were also clean. Overall what I'd expect from a venue. read more

Strangely enough, I've gotta say I love Tech basketball games even more than I love the football games. I've gone to three games there so far (two men and one women), and each time I've gone I have had fun. If you're a student at Tech you get into the basketball games free, so you are already winning, and the tickets are not super expensive for general admission public seats. Both of the regular season games have had great incentives for students. The first game I went to had dollar hotdogs, and the second game had free pizza for the first 200 students. Sadly though, the normal food and drink options are what you would expect for any athletic venue. Overpriced stadium food -_- Overall, So far I've enjoyed every experience with Tech, and if you are in town during a game you should go check it out. Wreck 'em Tech! read more

Elderly woman by the stair who wasn't ven dressed in a uniform we could recognize as "Security" checking bags. No unopened bottles of water allowed?...way to rip people off on concessions. Here's a tip, no one checks your bag at the elevators. read more

This is a great place to watch a basketball game. There are some downsides like the building was built 400 years ago and the seats are not that comfortable but I got all my tickets free for the game so I enjoyed it. read more

USA is an awesome stadium that unfortunately doesn't get treated as well as it should. Due to the historically non-competitive men's basketball teams at Tech there are hardy ever any big crowds at the arena for men's bball games. During my time at Tech I never went to any other sporting events at USA besides those so I can't say whether the stadium ever gets packed for other games. However, I have been there for a Brad Paisley and Dirk's Bentley concert and I gotta say, USA is NUTS when it's packed. Hopefully sometime in the future it will get that way for TT sporting events. read more

The venue is adequate for the basketball games & concerts that are held here. Parking is not adequate. On a positive note, parking is FREE! So one cannot complain too much about the difficulty in finding parking. Leaving the parking lot is usually more difficult here than at larger venues due to lack of parking security to direct traffic. It's pretty much a free for all. In regards to the concessions, one would think that the $5 water bottle would be at least a one liter bottle of water. In this case it is only a 20 oz. water bottle of Dasani and they keep the bottle cap for some weird reason. I didn't buy anything else but contemplated on purchasing a funnel cake for $6 but the size of the confection was not even as big as the 8" paper plate it was served on, so I passed on the funnel cake. The seats are a little cramped and get to be a little uncomfortable after 2 hours of sitting during a concert. Restrooms are plentiful and lines, if any, move rather quickly. All in all, this is a decent venue to attend a concert or any game of your choice. I've been here on several occasions and I've always had a good experience. FYI, I do like the Citi Bank Auditorium much better, but it isn't as large as a venue. read more
