I went into her office due to some sternum pain as well as mid-back pain...when in office, she was able to accurately diagnose the problem based off trigger points and some contextual questions. Dr. Maris set out a three-week plan for adjustments and minor physical therapy to get me healthy. By the time I left her office after my final visit/adjustment, all chest/back pain had disappeared! I finally decided to see the doctor after playing a round of golf and my foot acting up again. The office is in the basement level of 70 Hudson. They have elevator access. The office itself is okay. A bit dated. A bit dingy. I had a foot xray done and I would have sworn the x-ray machine was from the 1960's. Sure, it worked fine, but call me a snob, it seems like when I go to a doctor's office in New York city, its vibrant and new - whereas doctors offices in Hoboken feel like they are just old and run-down. The staff working there was pleasant. The doctor I met with wasn't Dr. Paternina, but Dr. Vo. She was helpful, she showed me my x-rays and explained her diagnosis - the doctor felt it could be a stress fracture and put me into a soft cast and walking boot for a week. My insurance covered the costs and I had a co-pay. I'm hoping that there won't be any surprise costs as this was recommended by my insurance as an in-network provider.
