We never had bad problems with water in the basement until after the super storms when everybody had water. From that point on, water was pooling on the floor and leaking through one wall during heavy rain. I checked United Waterproofing references on Angie's List and they seemed well recommended. I called. They came and gave an estimate and what would need to be done to make the basement waterproof. They took care of the permits for the trenching and the electrical work to be done separately if needed. The day the crew arrived to do the work, another supervisor showed up to confirm the work required to be performed. He found that there was more that needed to be done such as digging a trench around the outside basement window and adding a few more feet to the perimeter that was to be trenched for the drain. When I asked how much more that was going to cost, he said it would cost nothing more. United promised a dry basement and whatever they needed to do over and above their quote was what they would do to ensure that we got one. I was impressed and thankful. The crew was very nice and worked so hard digging and hauling out debris all day. They completed it in one full workday and left the basement clean. The office followed up regarding the electrical line which might needed for the pump and it was scheduled. Their electrician came back and added a dedicated line for an electric outlet for the sump pump. Mandatory Inspections were completed. They did an excellent job. We've had major rains since then and it has remained dry. We are very pleased with the work they did and would definitely recommend them. read more

Every time it rains, and my basement is dry, I will thank Giovanni! We've had water problems for the past 15 years, making our basement useless. We called United Waterproofing after a recommendation from a friend. They explained what would be done and showed a video, so we knew what to expect before scheduling an appointment. We still couldn't believe it could be done in a day. Giovanni and crew came on time, cleared items from the basement, tore out some old closets and framing left from when the basement was gutted, did all jackhammering, installation and concrete, returned items to the house, and left the place spotless. We used them for a second job that involved going 6 feet under the slab portion of our house to get to pipes. They had to hand dig a hole in the front yard and jackhammer the concrete in the laundry and bath. No pipes or wires were hit, which impressed other contractors that saw the work. Again, the place was left immaculate. They washed down the driveway, fixed the mulch in the front, even cleaned our entry mat. Twice, Giovanni caught issues from other contractors that saved us money and unnecessary work. Steve, the General Manager, arrived the day after I called, estimated the job and included in the price a second sump pump that may be needed. The crew was scheduled for 10 days later and arrived on time. They reviewed the job with me and even added a few minor problems that I requested. They worked hard to jackhammer the floor, removing the debris in 5 gallon buckets. As mentioned above, a second day was needed to complete the job but it was done to my complete satisfaction. Since a major job like this is expensive but necessary, they were very helpful in working out a financial arrangement that was fair and reasonable to both parties. The basement has been dry for weeks, even after several rainstorms and the sump pump motor is now music to my ears. After my experience with this firm, I most highly recommend them. read more

I absolutely love this company. This is the second time that they have done work for me. The first time was at my mothers home about 8 years ago. We had two different companies come in and the water problem was never solved. United water proofing came in diagnose the problem and fixed and it. Our basement has been water free since. So, of course when I moved to my new home and found out I need water proofing they we're the one's I called and they did a great job. They did disclose to me that they would have to rip up part of my stairs in my basement. They gave me a choice and explained the pros and cons and made sure I was okay. United Waterproofing is an amazing company. I had them install French drains and a sump pump in my home. The battery was beeping during the last heavy rain storm possibly due to a power outage and I called to see if they had any idea what it might be. The service representative returned my call within 5 minutes and told me he would be over in 45 minutes. He arrived in less than 30 minutes and reset the battery. He also checked out the sump pump and assured me that everything was working perfectly. This company goes above and beyond the call of duty. Excellent company!! We had United install & new french drain & sump pump in 2011. Steve came & provided an estimate that was spot-on for the work that needed to be performed. Giovanni and his team came, explained all work that was to be done, and even sought me out to show how much water was draining from most of the cinder blocks on the foundation. They also installed window well taps in 3 windows to avoid water breaching the basement windows. All in all, the work was completed as described, on-time, with no surprises in the end.
