After contacting this company, the owner (Patrick) listened and observed the pictures I posted on the site. Then he recommended a plumber (Mazzone) that would fix one facet of the whole issue. After the owner of the plumbing company came out and fixed what he needed to quickly and at a very reasonable price the worker from Arid came out to view the final phase of my problem. Patrick (the owner) gave me an appointment for his workers to install a sump pump. The first pictures are of the check valve portion of the project. The second picture is an extension installed by Mazzone to my check valve two feet below my basement floor. The third set of pictures are from the completed job by Arid. The workers from Arid were very polite and worked quickly and very effectively with a great deal of carefulness for my home and living spaces. After getting a few quotes from different waterproofing companies I decided to go with Arid to put in a French drain The workers showed up on time and went right to work. The Forman listened to my concerns and was very professional. There were about 4 or 5 other workers and they all worked together to get the job done, they even looked happy! I don't take the time to write many reviews but after my experience with ARID WATERPROOFING, I thought I would offer up my comments! My finished basement took on water twice in 7 years. That was enough for me to do something about it. When I decided to have French drains put it, I started asking around. People were all over the board with the comments so, I just started calling a few companies for estimates. I came to find out that there is a HUGE swing in price for basically, the same work being done. I decided I would get three quotes. One quote was almost three (3x) times as high as ARID and it was a hard sell. That company was Mid Atlantic Waterproofing. The other quote was in the ball park of ARID but, they were not very professional. The guy who came to give me an estimate did not even have a tape measure to get the specs, etc. Plus, he hand wrote me a quote on a business card that wasn't even his! Finally, I landed on Arid and boy was I glad. I contacted them and spoke to Pat (the owner) and also his wife. There was no pressure at all. They sent out someone for the estimate. He was timely, professional and very courteous. After we went through a few things, he wrote up the quote and there was NO pressure to sign and get it done. No request for money either! After a few days went by, I decided to pull the trigger and go with it. Finding a date to get the job done was tricky but, Pat was able to work things out and they were at my home in a few weeks time. When they showed up to do the work, I was very happy to see them! The foreman, I think it was Jermaine (sp) was very polite and took time to answer some questions I had as they were going through the process. I tried not to hover but I find the process interesting so I poked my head in a few times. Every time I wanted to ask a questions, he would stop and listen without ever giving me the feeling that I was holding him or his crew up. The job only took about 3-4 hours (I think) and they did a remarkable job. The finished product was exactly what was promised. Follow up calls to make sure everything was to my satisfaction ensued and that it what I call GREAT customer service. I have since referred a couple of people to ARID and will gladly send them more referrals if someone I know is looking to have this kind of work done. We had used Arid for a french drain and sump pump over 3 years ago on the east side of our house and it eliminated the basement flooding we had experienced. In the last year or so, the west side began flooding, especially after heavy rains, with the water migrating towards the center of the basement.
