I was passing through Albany but wanted to still cover my weekly obligation on a Saturday night, so I found this chapel with masstimes.org. I was a bit shocked that it was a storefront chapel in a strip-mall, as I mentally associate those types of churches with the Protestants, but when I went inside, I really felt the power of the church. The inside is pretty Spartan, if you can ever call a Catholic church Spartan, and the priest was a humble fellow who gave a damn-good homily. I was also impressed by the fact that there were locals who seemed to know each other's names. Everywhere I went I saw people calling out to each other in a familiar manner. What a nice chapel.

When is church looks at you they look at you as God's creation not what you've done in your life. It is an absolute blessing to be a part of this church to feel like you're a part of something that's like home. They have lots of youth activities in this church, they have Awana programs during the winter months and they have summer activities during the summer months. They have Bible studies for the adults and lots to offer. Also they have dinners that they put on so you can come in and get to know people in the church and you sign up it's like $5 for a person and $10 for a family but you eat a phenomenal meal, but they also turn away no one so if you have no money they would accept you and love you just the same. I am truly amazed by the lovingness of this church I'm truly amazed by everything that the church has to offer. the pastor of this church is absolutely amazing he's very down-to-earth he is very fun-loving and really shows that he cares for his congregation. Honestly if you ever are looking for a church I would definitely recommend this one this is a warm Church, this is a loving Church and you definitely end up seeing me there. But, the best part of the service for me was the sermon. Actually, I'm far more interested in the message than I am in the welcoming atmosphere. The message was relevant, engaging, and Biblically centered. And, btw, the worship was amazing. The church might be hard to find (the one negative), because it's not on a main drag. But, take a right, or left on Vly, across from the Kohl's Plaza on Central Avenue, and you'll find it. It's worth the search.
