My Grand Children enjoy learning martial arts at Unity. Mr & Mrs Johnson run an efficient school. The children enjoy their time there. BG

Las Vegas Combat Academy is hands down THE BEST INSTRUCTION and INSTRUCTORS! Thank you Coach Britt…read morefor your knowledge and support!! I went to a class and the instruction was clear and I felt very confident afterward!

Today I was approached by the owner, felt more like a confrontation based on his tone but that's…read morejust my personal opinion; he made it very clear my previous review is based on how I feel not facts. So I feel he's both arrogant and obnoxious when provided with feedback he doesn't agree with. I had to tell him multiple times I was done with the conversation, this was because I was uncomfortable at that point. It definitely felt like I couldn't voice my opinion on his business He explained he didn't stop the kids from running out because he was busy unlocking another child from the restroom and that the reason he seemed annoyed/irritated when he came in and yelled at us all to move our cars was because he had gotten into it with the tow truck guy outside and had them unhook a car He also explained he's not arrogant, that it's just my opinion and basically wanted to know why I felt that way, I explained I've seen him interact with others and he wanted to know who/when, which didn't seem right if this is how he reacted to my review. He asked why i thought he was arrogant and I let him know because of how he was approaching from the review I left - i let him know he was being arrogant then and there As far as my son being afraid of him, I explained it was also due to one interaction they had and he said he speaks to the kids like a coach(which I explained from my opinion/perspective it didn't feel that way) My previous review mentioned my son got ring worm from borrowing the boxing gloves and he let me know that was impossible. I explained this was a gym and it was very possible but he wasn't having it so I stood my ground as well insisting he got it there because it happened after using their gloves which isn't a problem just brought it up as a precaution didn't need to be defensive about it He let me know that if I wasn't happy I could leave, I reminded him I paid for the year and it's not like he's going to refund me the remainder of the year. He said he wasn't kicking us out just letting us know we could leave if we weren't happy As far as the AC goes, he let me know the building isn't equipped with AC. He has 4 coolers installed which are on all day from the am until closing - I explained when I left the review it didn't feel like any cooler was on as the only hot breeze was from the 42" fan, no other. The reason for the one star was his approach and how he made me feel during this last interaction. I let him know I'd like to finish the remainder of the year for my son and not have to interact with him again.

The…read morefocus here is on real technique--every class emphasizes proper form, fight IQ, and practical application. Coaches take the time to correct details and explain the "why" behind every move, making it great for both beginners and experienced fighters. The coaching staff is diverse, with specialists in Muay Thai, BJJ, wrestling, and MMA. Each coach brings a different background, so you get a full spectrum of knowledge in striking, grappling, and conditioning. Morning and afternoon classes fit any schedule, with a pro class in the afternoons and sparring on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Wrestling sessions and a dedicated fight team round it all out. The atmosphere is serious when it's time to train, but still fun and friendly. Everyone--from first-timers to pros--gets treated with respect and encouragement. The kids' classes are especially strong, teaching discipline and confidence in a safe, positive way. They also offer equipment rentals for a small fee, which makes it easy for newcomers or travelers to jump in without needing all their own gear right away. If you're looking for a place that combines top-tier coaching, solid technique, flexible scheduling, and a community that makes training something you look forward to, Legends delivers.

Having a teenage daughter (13 yo) that likes to stay in her bubble is a challenge. During summer…read morebreak, I wanted to find an activity that will get her active physically and mentally. It wasn't easy finding a place that tailors to teenagers (youth) since most of the martial arts businesses I've researched had smaller kids or adults. And to find a place that had some female students so that my daughter can easily relate with (girl standpoint). Long story short, the very first day of class, she had a huge meltdown outside of the studio not wanting to go through with it. There were a couple older kids who helped talk to her, calm her down, and pretty much "handheld" her into trying the class. Thankfully she got through it. Big thanks to John, Caesar, Bianca, and Stephanie. You guys are awesome! Fast forward 6 months later, my daughter has made new friends and has gained a lot more confidence. She enjoys coming to class especially when Sensei Dave teaches (the buff one haha). She says he's funny and cool. But actually everyone helps out, which is nice. Tip *** the studio gets extremely crowded once a class has ended. Just wait for a about 5-10 mins after and seats should open up.
