I have the most unpleasant in-store experience at DSW today…read more This morning i received an email from DSW and asked my annual DSW perk, and i had to log in to my account and made the selection ($10 dollar reward). I then went to the store in the afternoon and my wife selected a pair of ASICS shoes, which is 5 dollar more than Kohl's, Asics official site. But i think with the annual 10 dollar off, it is still a good deal. I then proceed to check out and i provided my number to the store employee Heather. She told us the final amount is xxx and we told her that we have this annual perk $10. She replied this coupon can only be used on the web or on the app. It doesn't sound like we could use that "perk" in store. So we decided not to buy the shoe. But then i double checked my email, it says i could use the "perk" in store. So i went back to that Heather and asked her if i can apply that perk to the purchase. She said "Yes" and then added "if you guys didn't walk away". WTF. We would not walk away if you asked about " do you have the email with you?". It is you, Heather, that keeps us from making that purchase. DSW should seriously think about customer service training. And with that attitude, even i could use that perk from the email, i have decided not to make the purchase this time and ever again. I will not buy anything from DSW again. Guys, one quick tip, just google the shoe you want to buy while you shoeshop at DSW, and you will find the price is usually not very competitive at DSW. Good luck!

She was devastated, but when I went back to the store to see what our options were, they said they'd replace them with another pair of the same size/color. They didn't have enough in stock at this particular location, but they told us to go check another location nearby that had some in stock. We ran over there and the lady who had helped us out here at the Traverse Mountain location had even called ahead to let the other store know we were coming. There are a lot of different colors so if you are looking for something specific you might have to compromise. The store is split into half with men's and women shoes grouped together. Literally half of the store. For each. If you do need a brand new pair of shoes at retail price they can go grab those for you in the back. Prices are marked on the box by a colored sticker. The price list is standing on top of the aisles so you'll know exactly what you'll pay for them. Prices seemed to reflect what condition they are in. When in doubt look at the sticker on the box. As for the staff I had nothing but a great interaction with the people working. One of the guys took time to answer all my questions and even had me try the different styles on while explaining the differences between each shoe. There were other customers and they had great interaction with them as well. The store was very well organized and very clean. Usually shoes stores look like a hurricane just passed through and there are boxes littered everywhere. Not here! $65 for an almost brand new pair of running shoes is a deal to be had.
