My daughter and I have been seeing Dr. Skandamis for years. He is a great doctor and is very personable and professional. My daughter has been dealing with alopecia for years and has to go in for steroid injections when it flares up. Not very much fun for a kid to get shots in their head. He always makes her feel very relaxed and she loves him. We have also seen their Physician Assistant Sarah and she is very friendly and knowledgeable too. I go for yearly skin checks and have had BBL laser treatments to help with a few sunspots. It is also easy to get an appointment fast. Kris their aesthician is awesome. I have been going to her for peels for the past 2 years and I love her. She is very professional and is very easy to have a conversation with. I recommend this dermatology practice to everyone in the Columbus area. You can get in fast and their whole staff is excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. read more

A while back, I had Gemini laser resurfacing done at Universal. I found Dr. Skandamis and his team to be very friendly, thorough and professional. For years, I have employed acupressure facial exercises to stimulate blood flow and strengthen countenance muscular tissue. I have not made to the doctor. They have requested that I sign the consent to charge the credit card 60 days after getting a bill. I objected and offered the payment only if there was no dispute over the billing codes to the insurance. Otherwise, I could get into a mess between them, insurance, and my payments. They refused and I left. Please note that we are not discussing an cosmetic procedure, but an insurance-covered medical issue. PS I appreciate your reply. I went to this place in 2019. I was impressed at the beganning. I even bought 3 different gift certificats since they had a special when they opened. Later the visits were not just year checks anymore. They office decided to bill for non preventative checks so the exams went toward uyour insurance deductible and they could get more money for the exams. My gift certificates did not work anymore after the office decided to combine the certificates onto 1 certificate! The office staff changed and the doctor became money hungry and not about patient care! They will over charge and sell everything they can to you!! Do not trust them!!!! read more

The office requires you provided a credit card for them to charge if any fees are not paid within 60 days. Since I was unwilling to agree to giving them my credit card information I couldn't be a patient. They did offer the choice of paying a $100 deposit but I decided to go elsewhere being annoyed by their office policy. Doctor patient relationship require trust that needs to go both ways. read more

Terrible. From the rude receptionist to the haughty nurses to the Drs. that don't care about anything but generating fees.

Very unprofessional practice, got a letter from this Dr. Skandamis whom I have never met. Stating they are. Terminating our relationship because of no shows, that's a total lie. I called one day to cancel because. My dad died and they said I didn't. Call 24 hours a head so they charged me $25, I called said I would not pay the 25 dollars they explained I didn't give 24 hour notice, I'm sorry my dad didn't die 24 hours prior to the appointment. I never had a no show. I'm fine with not going back. But people need to know what kind of practice this is and how they treat their patients. I'm filing a BBB as well. read more

The staff is super friendly, the doctor has a great bedside manor and never made me feel like my incessant silly questions were beneath him. Very nice receptionists. My appointment was on time. A big plus. Dr. Sarah and her assistant were extremely professional and caring. I especially appreciated that Dr. Sarah took time to answer all my questions about the all-over skin exam, rosacea and my questions about different treatments. An excellent dermatologist! Provides timely and efficient care.

I called three other dermatology offices and couldn't be seen for at least a month. I called Universal and was able to get in the next day to be seen by Dr. Skandamis! He and his staff was delightfully kind, easygoing, and very helpful! I went in for a rash and it was cleared up within a couple of days after my appointment. I also discovered that they offer cosmetic and aesthetic services like botox and dermal fillers, laser hair and tattoo removal, chemical peels, fat reduction, waxing, etc. I'll definitely be back to get some botox and to see the aesthetician for some chemical peels and new products. My visit was pleasant enough. I went in to have two moles removed for cosmetic reasons since my wedding was three months away. I followed the follow up care to a T and I ended up with horrible scars on my body. The one on my chest is bright red and almost looked like it was bleeding 3 months later at my wedding. The one on my back turned a dark brown and for some reason has a scar circle actually around it. I was in complete tears because these show up in all my wedding photos. I called their office and their explanation was basically that it was my body's fault that I don't heal well. I've spoken with other doctors and people who have had moles removed, and none of them experienced this. In fact, they were horrified at the results and are now scared to get another one done. They said I could pay them another $150-$200 for a follow up appointment, followed by saying there isn't really much than can do. So, they scarred my body, I paid over $500 for it, and now they want more money just to tell me "Oh, well. You are stuck with it." Just beware, because I don't want anyone to have what happened to me happen to them. I try not to wear anything too low cut or tank tops and less than short sleeve dresses because of this. I would give a 0 star rating if I could. They scarred me for life. read more
