I enrolled my 19 year old son in the 15 hour course. Same as the 10 hour with a little extra…read morepractice. I called to ask a few questions and liked their answers better than some of the other more expensive places so I signed him up. He spaced the lessons over 2 weeks and my son and I are happy with his results. After I paid I scheduled his first lesson and then afterwards we set up his schedule and had it all planned out. We did a few mornings downtown, especially around the light rail and then a few afternoons. There was an evening class scheduled and it had started to storm so they came back home for safety reasons but he and I both were glad he was able to experience driving in the evening, in a storm and on I-17. Everything worked out beautifully. The second evening was good as far as weather and he was able to experience the downtown Scottsdale area. He then came home on the 101. They let him fill up at the gas station and they did the drive thru experience. All in all the training was top notch and we are happy we did this. He passed and he's happy and I'm grateful. As far as the fleet: my son drove in a Toyota Yaris and it was a good car. We both felt safe with him driving it. He has a Camry so he will be bumped up to more of a sedan as opposed to a compact car. I didn't see the other cars but judging by the shape of the Yaris he had, I'm gonna assume they were all nice. I believe they have Toyota Corollas and Kia Souls. Now for the instructors: my first impression was very good and it seemed to be a good fit for everyone. Marwan is the owner and an instructor. Very nice gentleman and knew what I wanted and needed. He completely made my son and I feel at ease. Told me all the things they were going to be working on. Explained all the steps and he was on point. He said he had been training for over 20 years so that also helped reinforce our comfort. He did the first 10 hours of the lessons in 2 hour increments. He was super cool and my son liked him a lot. The last 5 hours were with Esmeralda. Great gal. My son loved her. I believe she was the night instructor and why they changed it up but she was just as good as Marwan. No complaints. Both were very patient and helpful. They all in all were super great and I will recommend them highly to any and everyone. Overall I not only got my moneys worth but now I have a confident teen licensed driver. I know just doing it myself would have been cheaper but they went over things I hadn't thought about and with every report from my son when he was done with each lesson he was able to actually educate me, so that right there made it all worth it. He didn't have to take the skills test as this WAS the skills test so that also was beneficial along with the certificate of completion to give to insurance company for a 15% discount. There were a few hiccups and all but it was all worked out in the end. Thank you A plus Driving School.

We had a really good experience with Go and Drive recently with our son Landon. We're originally…read morefrom WA where driver's ed wasn't optional and you took it in school, so this was a new world to us booking it this way. Scheduling was easy and convenient, lots of different days and time slots to pick from. The different packages options are great for helping any level of experience driver and some include the actual road test and licensing appointment. It's one on one instruction, which I appreciated. I also liked that it was the same model car that he drove in all his sessions to help him be more comfortable. The two instructors we had, Sean and Brad, were communicative, friendly, patient, and encouraging. They really gave my son the big boost of confidence he needed for things like parking in parking lots. After every session, we had a little download about what went well, areas to work on, and how all the things related to the test. They practiced all different kinds of driving scenarios, driving defensively, the "unofficial rules of the road here in AZ" (driving here is just different, it really is) and not being distracted. Our son was able to pass on his first attempt with flying colors! Having the test and licensing appointment included was totally worth not having to make those separate trips to the DMV. We also got the driving course certificate for the auto insurance discount. I'm in the insurance business so trust me when I say, it helps a ton !! Teenagers being added to insurance comes with some hefty sticker shock. Will be using Go and Drive again when it's time for our other two kids to drive.

Now, before you go judging my speedy excursion through the desert, realize that any day now, your…read moreluck will run out and one of the several hundred cameras all over the Valley will finally catch you. Just when your guard is down; it snap your pretty picture and you'll have to pay up, too. In which case, I would recommend the Arizona Academy of Defensive Driving, if you're eligible. Here's why: 1. I honestly expected the sort of half-assed, poorly executed service that comes from companies that survive almost solely because of govmnt. entities (much the way govmnt. offices and services are run). This company had friendly customer service when I had questions about whether or not I was eligible, and spent a good amount of time on the phone with me while I figured out which location/time/date would work for me and still keep me in check with the deadline to complete the class, and even sent me an e-mail reminder the day before my class with info reminding me where it was and what I needed to bring. 2. Apparently there is an exception for Yuma courts that criminal speeding (below a certain mph number) is still eligible for driving school. I really thought this was going to be a nightmare to set up with multiple calls back and forth from a school to the court and possibly even faxed papers from the court to the school, but it was not at all with AZADD. I did in fact call a number of schools before finding AZADD and they seemed to be clueless about this exception - weird considering it's their livelihood to be up to speed on these things (no pun intended). Well, that was if they answered the phone at all! Too many had weird hours or just a recording to leave a message. Really? This does not help your credibility, people. 3. The facility was a decent place - a meeting room of the Comfort Inn and Sweets (ha ha, I'm leaving that because when I do stuff like that, I shake my head and go "I'm an editor?" Hey, at least I proofread!) in Scottsdale. In the past I've taken class in that trashy strip mall where Yucca resides and in an abandoned school off McClintock that was equally as run down. Not to mention, the class itself was $29. Though I paid $244 total, all but $29 went to city and state fees. 4. The instructor was not using his time in front of 60+ grumpy students as a springboard to his stand-up comedy career. To be honest, the instructor did crack a few jokes, but they were actually funny, particularly when he made fun of those inevitable students who have their endless "hypothesis" questions or want to argue why a law shouldn't be a law. It is, d-bag; get over it and let's move on. 5. The instructor knew his stuff. It was impressive, really. If you've ever been to a driving class, you know there are actually a lot of myths out there about what is legal and what is not legal and vice versa. He cleared all that up and even knew why a lot of the misperceptions existed in the first place - I can honestly say I learned a lot of *useful* information. 6. The instructor knew when to breeze through a topic (i.e. how to drive in the rain or basic common sense stuff) and when to spend more time discussing shit we actually care about (i.e. do I really have to pay that camera ticket?) Traffic school already sucks, so you might was well get a good company to help you through it!

Well there is such thing and these dummies proved it. Yes, I'm looking at you Mrs. Stupid and rolling my eyes dramastically. Although you were ticketed for speeding, you ask a question about Marijuana use and if you can strap your toy poodle in the passenger seat while taking the HOV- exclaiming dogs are people too! Dogs aren't PEOPLE people, we all know better than that! You had it coming... WE ALL DID!
