It is a pleasant atmosphere to learn something new. It is conveniently located off of the I-17 freeway, and I can go at my leisure

5 stars for location & teaching style…read more This business is located about 10 minutes from the DMV office. Although class is from 8-4:30, you must be there at 7:30 AM in order to register. The class size is small, so the instructor is able to engage the students. Although I was required by law to attend Traffic Survival School in person, I learned things about driving that I had never even knew existed. So, I gained new perspective. The method is a mix of lecture, workbook, and video. If you don't speak English (well), they can still work with you. (While I was there, an instructor was working with new Americans from Africa who only knew broken English.) After class let out at 4:30 PM, I drove quickly to the DMV office. I stood in the Express Lane and had a clerk help me reinstate my suspended license. Despite popular belief, she accepted the paper certificate of completion from Universal Driving School. I paid with a debit card. (I think you must use plastic for this lane because it's like an ATM machine.) Literally, I walked out of the DMV at 4:55 PM with 2 large receipts proving that my license was reinstated. I kept them in my glove compartment and (legally) drove home. Bring beverages and snacks. While lunch break is only 30 minutes, you get to eat in the classroom. A basic Circle K is only one block away.

The…read moreElectude stuff is fine, sometimes great, but the instructors don't have much to work with when it comes to lab time. The lab activities don't ever match what the Electudes are; it's like learning two separate things constantly. I felt like I was often thrown into labs with little explanation of what I'm supposed to be doing. If you don't understand something, you can ask questions and there's *usually* no judgement from the instructors. However, I've literally had an instructor tell me to my face to figure things out on my own. Why am I paying for this certification if I'm not going to be taught something? Classes sometimes go without instructors for the full 10 week period. This school is a joke.

VENDORS AND STUDENTS BEWARE…read more I was asked by AAI to develop a specific educational class for their employees tailored to their specifications. I was told the class was exactly what they wanted upon review. I was to be paid for the development of the class once it was taught to staff. The scheduled dates for training were postponed numerous times by security staff before I reached out to administration. It was then I was told that my contact with security had no authorization to request my services and administration had no knowledge of the request, despite having written evidence from administration approving the class. The class I developed on their behalf is now in their hands and they refuse to pay the agreed amount. If I were a student looking for reputable education I would look elsewhere. As a vendor, I'd get some signatures from the school director before proceeding, and even then I would question their ethics and intention to pay agreed amounts.
