These days in Florida, you almost always have to lawyer up before they'll pay a claim, and then the amount they offered was a joke, like for a small repair...my whole roof needed replacing so we settled on an amount that only cost me $1050 out of pocket. 500 of which was my deductible. The claim was filed back in 2022 before Florida changed their laws, which favors the insurance companies more and screws the consumer. I had to pay $116 for some wood damage, but that was reasonable, in my opinion. Once we got a date for the work to start, they were on time, delivering the dumpster the day before, and hauling it away the day the job was completed, which was only two-day job. Jay Geuder was the contact with whom I dealt with, and he was pleasant to deal with and explained the process, helped with picking the color, etc., and followed up after the job was completed.
