They installed Malarkey Vista AR composition shingles that match the roof on our garage that they did a great job on several years ago. The roof on our house is not simple. There are several dormers, two main ridges, shed roofs on long bump outs on the side and returns on gable ends. The removed a metal chimney we no longer use and cut in ridge vents. The house is stucco and they neatly and properly flashed and counter flashed everything. In addition, the porch has a hip roof with a 4' x 5' flat section on which they put a PVC roof to replace roll roofing. They meticulously protect the house and plants and clean up everyday. I highly recommend them.

He omitted the old, dirty, colour mismatched flashing surrounding 6 large…read moreskylights on a brand new roof installation --He also neglected to deliver on his offer and recommendation to clean and screw down these skylights -When I saw this and asked him to replace the flashing as part of the new roof install so the roof could be deemed completed -he agreed to, but only after much whining about the inconvenience and expense it would be to him to do so. (he suggested I paint the flashing) ---He didn't show up when he said he would, on several schedulings, to finish, however --so I finally waited for him to contact me to complete the job at his convenience when he could make time--but instead... he registered a lien, without any warning of this intentions --when he could/should have: #1. just completed the job as promised--or 2#. Negotiated a fair reduction in price so I could hire someone else to do it. I never once indicated he would not get paid when the job was done! --He also filed the lien months past the 45 day legal deadline --from time of abandoning the job --and denied that too! When I called him to ask why he registered a lien instead of finishing the job--He mentioned that he registered lots of liens in Nov.

He was very helpful during the quoting process, educating me of the different roofing options and providing competitive pricing that helped me select him amongst the bids I received. As my roof was starting to experience leaks, he helped squeeze me ahead into his schedule given that there was fall season rain upcoming. His team is a tight knit group that did a great job completing the work over the course of a week or so. They took a lot of pictures as well to evidence the damaged boards that were being replaced. As I was present during the job, I can attest that they were thorough and professional. His team also helped with a follow-up visit to replace some flashing that have been missed the first time. Their office said the estimator was sick that week, he would come next week. Next week they don't show - this time the office says they got busy. For four months they gave an excuse each week. It got so bad that after four months they started giving me the exact day and time - Tuesday at 4:00pm. They again don't show, and the office says they meant Wednesday at 4:00pm. Again they don't show. I never cancelled the request, but a year later they still have never bothered to show up for an estimate. But I may have been lucky. I told this story to a person on my street, and they told me they had Alpha do their roof and had to get them to repair it every three or four months for two years...
