I was notified by my mechanic that the vehicle had been wrecked (witch was not mentioned to me by wholesale auto) also my advanced level master mechanic with all ten certifications that has owned and operated his own shop for many years, notified me there is no way they didn't know the transmission failed or torque converter, especially since I brought it immediately back to them to fix it, and they flushed the tranny claiming they fixed it ( which is most likely what they did before I bought the car because they knew the tranny was basically garbage) it ran fine for two days and the jerking stalling came back ten fold, not to mention the transmission was put together incorrectly and missing parts. I have had to rebuild the tranny replace the torque converter witch ran me $2200+, still have to replace my motor mounts, wheel bearings, breaks, rotors, and now the power steering pump is going out, and my o2 sensor is bad. I paid over 300$ more than what the vehicle was worth in excellent condition (which it was basically totaled) non functioning mechanical condition and I'd say fair condition cosmetically. Also when I purchased the vehicle the driver side door handle was broken off and was told it had been ordered and I had to come back to have it put on upon its arrival, 1st time it hadn't arrived. Second, third, and fourth time I made the 36 mile drive and called ahead to notify them of my arrival, I got to Wholesale Auto and the doors were locked and no one was there. The final time I called and let them know I was on my way I got there and no one but the mechanic was there I had to make several phone calls and finally the mechanic walked out with the part and claimed he had no idea how to put it on saying he doesn't do electrical so I took the handle myself hoping to put it on NOW not only was it the wrong color, NOT only was it for the passanger door (needed driver door handle) but it wasn't even for my car. Nearly two months and 150$ in gas later and it was useless. Basically, I financed some if the money and will end up paying over $10k for a totaled car worth $2500 at best. The service was horrible. I am the only person working in a young new family with a 3 month old daughter and received my first income tax ever and had it stolen from me by these thieves, even after walking in with my wife and newborn.

They took nearly a month to get me the title and when they did send it to me, it wasn't signed. Now, I can get any return phone calls, emails, or texts and I am stuck with a car that I can't get a clean title on.

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE WITH Gainesville GMC- SAFETY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE NEGLIGENCE…read more I never thought I'd have to make a post like this, but my recent experience with Gainesville GMC has left me shaken and deeply concerned. I took my vehicle to this dealership, trusting that I'd receive high-quality service. Instead, what I got was pure negligence that could have cost me my life and endangered countless others. The dealership failed to properly secure my tire during service and do a proper oil change. Simple and routine maintenance on any vehicle. As a result, the tire studs was stripped along the sides unknowingly and eventually completely fell off my car while I was driving down the road. The damage to my rim and the situation itself were terrifying. The thought of what could have happened--to me or others on the road--still haunts me. This is not the level of service anyone would expect, especially from a dealership. What's even more disappointing is how this was handled afterward. Barely an apology with all the "fixing" to ensure things right to be utterly false. I was even misled about the service supposedly being done both times "correctly"--when clearly, it was not. I'm sharing this to warn others about this dealership and their shocking disregard for basic safety standards. I've attached photos of the damage so you can see just how serious this situation was. If you're considering using Gainesville GMC for your vehicle, think twice. This level of negligence is unacceptable, and I hope no one else has to endure such a traumatic experience.
