Luckily for me, I lived 7 minutes from an office and would drive to the LifeStance Health office if I had a question or concern. Expect a wait of over 15 minutes to talk with someone by phone. I last saw a provider in November 2025. Lat month I received by email a bill for $45. I deleted it. Today I received an email message saying I was due a $120 refund. I called the office to alert them to a possible scam. The first call of 7 minutes resulted in a scheduler sending me to a billing person who informed me the refund email was legitimate and not a scam. When I requested a check rather than a prepaid Mastercard, the billing person transferred me to the "third-party administrator of the refunds." I could never reach a real person, and all the AI-prompts requested information I could not provide until AI disconnected the call. I then clicked on the link in what is probably a phishing scam email to request customer service. I put in all my contact information, wrote my request, hit send, and NOTHING HAPPENED. I just shared my contact information with some entity because a LifeStance Health employee told me the email I received was legitimate. I called LifeStance Health in Darien AGAIN and waited over 15 minutes to talk with a real person. Shante (not sure about spelling) said she would escalate my concerns to someone who would look into the situation and get back to me. After conversing, Shante told me the response call would indicate someone from LifeStance Health was calling me. I don't answer calls from numbers I do not recognize. A detailed message including a name, the reason for the call, and a direct telephone number would be left if I did not answer the phone. We will see. The whole situation makes me think LifeStance Health has had another data breach like the one in 2023 which resulted in a $3.2 million settlement. I would like my personal health information protected.
