The room in which we stayed has not been refurbished yet but was sill nice and comfy. Equipped with an hairdryer, amenities, tea&coffee facilities and even a trouser press and a telly with enough TV channels. The bar in which we had dinner served very good food and drinks, the staff were all courteous and friendly. I recommend this hotel for those who´d need a decent place to stay in Limerick...we only paid 69€ for a night, breakfast (OMG) included.

Interestingly enough, when we went to check out in the morning, the attendant asked if we had any feedback about our stay "besides air conditioning". That was literally on the tip of my tongue. She said they had applied for whatever permit that was necessary to have a/c, so hopefully they will have this up and running soon.

In my latest booking, the hotel would not give me a receipt or invoice prior to the guest checking in. I needed this invoice in advance for our grant funding. Then, when I called the hotel and requested to be transferred to the guest's room, they told me that they, "don't do that." So I left a message with the front desk to give to the guest, and they asked me which room, which I could not possibly know without talking to the guest! At least they had the courtesy to call me back to let me know they couldn't reach the guest. If this weren't the cheapest reasonable facilities near the University of Limerick, I wouldn't be using them again. Unfortunately, grant funding doesn't give you the option of choosing more expensive places simply for better service.
