Literally the worst place to deal with. Making an appointment a year ago was a pain had to come…read moreinto the office to make it. Have to say the dentist is great the tech I got was great but then I scheduled my 6 month out appointment, got it cancelled on me, which I get. Got rescheduled for a day that wasn't great for me because their office books out so crazy far and they barely can fit you in. Had to cancel because my son was super sick so short of me bringing a sick kid to the office had to cancel. Told them I would pay the 50. Tried to re book they said not until I paid. I get it. Put me on a cancellation list for appointments though which makes zero sense. Called me I booked the appointment which was great because I had forgot. Got told THROUGH TEXT my appointment was cancelled due to not paying and not having records from 8 YEARS AGO. Shouldn't this have been told me when I made the appointment? Now I'm out an appointment AGAIN. I get it. Ok. Got records from old place. Still won't make me an appointment because the dates were not on the paper work. BUT TOOK MY 50 DOLLARS - and all because they couldn't see the dates on the paperwork?? You have my records and my money. Ok. Called old dentist office back and said they didn't send what they need. That dentist office was like yeah we did also they told me needing those records to make an appointment was crazy. Agreed. So I called back said Nevermind. Super annoyed. Also out 50 dollars for a rescheduled on their end appointment. I just want to get my teeth cleaned since I pay for it

This review is for my second visit to BVD... (dun dun) TREATMENT DAY!…read moreThey actually called me the afternoon before my scheduled visit, they had a cancellation and wanted to know if I would like to come in sooner! *gulp!* initially I declined, but quickly decided to call them back and accept the earlier appointment. I arrived, shaking, nervous as heck! The receptionists and other staff members could tell I was afraid, and greeted me with warm smiles and tried to reassure me! My original dental assistant was there, Rebecca. She did a very good job of trying to calm my nerves, and it was reassuring that she was going to be there. I was having a root canal and I had never had anything like that done before, of course you ask people about them and you always ask the people that have had, unfortunately horrific experiences! My anxiousness was complete anticipation of the unknown! Dr Imanian and Rebecca worked very well together, they made sure I was ok throughout the whole procedure. I didn't feel a thing except TMJ pain from trying to keep my mouth open, next time I will take some nsaids before hand! Dr Galanis popped in a couple of times to make sure everything was ok. He also made sure I was ok after the procedure. The whole entire team was wonderful! I really can't say enough about them! I'm really glad I chose BVD to be my dental office!

This is not an indictment of the Landmark Medical Center or the staff that works there. I am not in…read moretheir shoes. ER workers work long hours and are frequently understaffed. This is an indictment of a deeply flawed medical system. That being said, I first went to the ER at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI. It wasn't life or death, but I was having trouble getting a new PCP and I didn't know what else to do. I had had diarrhea for more than a week, and I was worried that it might be sepsis; I had been in the hospital with sepsis for four days years before and had initially brushed it off as a bad cold. I was given a cbc blood test. and fluids. and advised to follow up with a GI who turned out to be unavailable, as well as a recommendation for a fodmap diet and probiotics. Other than being unable to see a gastroenterologist, everything seemed fine. However, I had bitten my tongue and lip repeatedly on my job, which I thought would heal on its own. I really don't like to visit doctor's offices or hospitals. When it seemed that my wound was getting worse instead of better, I went back to the ER to have it looked at. I was given a couple of prescriptions and sent home. One or two days later I noticed my tongue was swollen. Talking was painful, as well as eating and drinking. I was given an antibiotic and a shot of cortisol for the swelling as well as an anti-inflammatory. I also had a lot of canker sores which was making eating, drinking, and speaking painful. The steroid injection caused me to start having sharp pains in my mouth and throat which I am still having, plus I have noticed something that may be acid reflux. I've probably had it before, but not this bad. The acid keeps my mouth from healing and I can't see a doctor for it because I no longer have insurance. Again, I don't want to demonize the hospital staff. Our healthcare system needs to be restructured so that it functions as a vital service rather than a corporation.

Ever since they went under and got bought up by Prime, Landmark is a slumpit. The running joke is,…read moreit's the place where people go to DIE. The "quality of care" is another joke. The WAIT time for ER visits is beyond ridiculous. Prime Healthcare couldn't give a rat's butt about how the hospital is overworked and underpaid. All they saw was the dollar signs. About a decade ago, Landmark had a wonderful reputation. That's ancient history now. The ppl who work there ALL look like they'd rather be doing ANYTHING than be there. I waited long hours to be told they could do nothing for me. I checked MYSELF out, and went to Miriam, where the care is so much better. What a shame. I only live a couple of blocks away, it's convenient, but I'd rather do the travel time and go to Miriam or Rhode Island hospital.
