She was not happy the entire time so we were trying to calm her and feed her. Cake slices and cheesecake are $17-20 each. They're large but other reviews say dry and taste old. That's pricey. We skipped dessert at those prices based on the quality of the rest of our meal... I got an $8 peppermint mocha which was good but, served in the smallest teacup imaginable. It's extremely small inside. Like, uncomfortable. Granted, I had a lot of items with my baby and her and we were seated at a table for two with her in my lap but it was close quarters and the waitresses were squeezing between the chairs to walk around. They have about 6 tables inside with a small event private room in back. Our waitress was kind but, the manager or owner was off-putting. She went to every single table seated except ours to ask how their meal was and experience and, when time to pay, she wanted to personally ring me up to ensure we left in a hurry. I get it, some places are not meant for babies, but, since it's billed specifically to kids, I thought this was. Nope, I was wrong. (She's 19 months - so, too young for this bougie of an establishment clearly) I would not come back at all unless it was for my, older daughter to have a birthday cake experience and get a couple cute pics. The menu says the tea pot is for 1-2, but it's very small and I'd never consider it for 2 people. I had maybe 2.5-3 tea cup refills before it was gone. For the price, I'd rather get tea elsewhere. For birthdays, they do bring you edible glitter to blow from your hand when you make a wish. It's a cute addition, whether you're a kid or grown ups like my group. The food and drinks felt overpriced to me, but I think this is one of those places where it's about the ambiance and experience more than anything. We had multiple issues with no shows, late arrivals, and incorrect billing. No one would call from the "office" to notify about late arrivals/absence. Our main caregiver was great but when she couldn't be there for some reason, the attempts to cover her shift was terrible. We even had one caregiver talking about her opinions regarding politics and abortions. Very unprofessional but I know Home Care by Design doesn't pay them very well at all, which contributes to their high turnover. During the initial sales call, everything we asked about was "no problem." Once we were under contract, the main issue we talked about became a problem. There were suggestions made over the phone regarding billing for long term care that sounded suspicious to me. When I asked for it to be put in writing, it wasn't. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company.

Honestly do not recommend but let's go over things I've seen / heard while working here …read more -Dietians are really rude and make their cooks and culinary aids work and with fevers ,pneumonia,Covid symptoms. -They don't let you take time off for your family . Only option is to quit . They also get mad when people try to communicate with the dietitians . There pushy and rude and they interrupt people's sentences all the time and the residents too , no workers let them communicate their feelings . -The cnas are extremely rude to residents/House keepers/Receptionist -They mess up the pay grades and or don't pay people . -Mold in the kitchen . In the ceiling and in dish room . -They won't let anyone change shifts in any departments -Dementia unit is the only good unit in this place -They aren't very understanding -if you also test positive with Covid you are able to come back in five days even if you had Covid . They also say that the workers shouldn't test for another ninety days so no positive Covid tests show up during this time . -The supervisors tell everyone to pull up their mask but don't wear them them selves . -They let the residents sit and scream when they need a blanket ,a mask put up ,pushed to their room .anything the residents need the cnas expect them to do them selves . -The cnas also always came in there and were demanding food in the middle of the line especially this women on the 200 unit .Theresa not sure if she still works there but wouldn't recommend having your family member put on 200 . Try on all costs to have them put on 300,400 units and the dementia unit. -The food is also so terrible . And the cnas will steal food from the resident and claim the resident doesn't have any food. -I just can't stress enough how disrespectful and Inconsiderate this place . I DO NOT RECOMMEND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE KEEP YOUR FAMILY IN YOUR CARE OR SEND THEM SOME PLACE ELSE .
