University Printing (parking lot next to McDonald's) definitely holds up to Yelp's five star reputation. The owner is a very nice guy who rapidly printed up the laser color photos (from my portable USB storage device/USB thumb drive) that I wanted on regular paper. It was only $0.28 per laser color copy on regular paper which is much cheaper than Kinko's $0.75. It came out great! P.S. University Printing's computer is a PC (Windows). So I had the owner format a BLANK USB drive on his computer; then I went home and plugged the USB thumb drive to my MacBook and downloaded my photos on to the USB thumb drive; This method worked to print my Mac/iOS photos on to his PC computer without any issues. read more

Mom and pop business with great service. I came here 3 months ago for my wedding invites and RSVP's and they turned out amazing. When I wasn't clear about the number of printed RSVP's, we both apologized to each other and Mark didn't charge me for the reprint. This is the kind of service I'm looking for, even though the communication wasn't clear, the professionalism and maturity is there without the nonchalance and dismissive attitude you would see at a big corporation. Although they have their own cardstock, Mark gave me suggestions on where to buy it in bulk as well. Although they can be a bit more organized--maybe have a tray of "completed," or "pending" work with notes of what the customer wants on a post-it--the quality of their prints, service, and prices are unbeatable. read more

Anybody with MS Office suite and publisher can make a holiday card, and this place will print your finished product for cents on the dollar compared to the big online card companies. We printed 100+ invitations on the thickest cardstock they had and barely broke $20. Real good service, old school mom and pop print shop. They handle large commercial requests too. I have used UP a few times now and am truly pleased with the quality of my requests and the price. I have purchased various esty invite files and had them printed by UP... Not only are they $30-$50 cheaper then tiny prints or snapfish... The paper quality is much better. I recently purchased water bottle labels, banners, invites and a bunch more for my daughters 1st birthday and everything came out fabulous. Great place to use for weddings and birthday items. Pretty cheap to get stuff printed here. For my final I had to compile all of my notes into a neatly binded book. Some of my classmates were charged $30-40 to get it done where they went and that made me kind of nervous because money is tight. I was charged $21 here... They did a good job too. University Printing has relocated just up the street from the old spot and im so glad that i found it. If you are coming from the old location, its just up whittier blvd from there on the same side of the street in the shopping center before alberts mexican food. I stopped by today to see Mark and he was busy as usual but still managed to find time for me. I have the Barber shop Better Barbers also on whittier blvd and Mark has always taken care of my printing and advertising needs. He has great prices and great service. I paid to have my business featured on a map of the city of Whittier. The map was to be drawn by a professional artist and was told it would be done in a few months. Here we are 15 months later and this company has not provided anything to me. I am disappointed in how I was misled about when it would be done. During this time I have been told numerous times that it would be done "next month" or "it's really close to being done". It's too bad because the concept seemed to be really cool. If I was looking for a print shop I would look elsewhere. This company will not keep its promise to deliver. I decided to make the team banner for my daughter's softball team. I bought some grommets from a craft store, not knowing I needed a special tool to apply them. When I realized I didn't have the necessary tools, I panicked because I waited until the last minute. In a bind, I put out a Facebook post in search of a place that would apply grommets for me if I provided the grommets. I was directed to two places. One being University Printing and the other being a place up the street. When I called the other place, they quoted me $10 and told me I had to use their grommets. Trying to stay within my budget, I took my chances on University Printing without getting a quote ahead of time. I walked in and Mark recognized me by my post on Facebook. With the greatest customer service I've seen in a while, he not only took care of applying the grommets for me...he did so without putting a dent in my pocket.
