He cleared the blockage, camera inspected the line, and showed me tree roots causing the problem. He recommended hydro jetting but didn't pressure me at all. I am surprised with my experience after seeing a lot of good reviews. As a landlord, I scheduled an appointment for 9am-9:30am. My tenant waited with no update and finally someone arriving at 10am. I was unable to be at the place, so my tenant advised the technician to give me a call. I told the technician that we could not start anything at this time because the tenant had to go to work, and I could not physically be there. I asked why the technician was late and the technician lied and said the window was from 9:30-10am, which I called the technician out on referencing my yelp conversation (so no ownership or responsibility). This was a big effort to coordinate. I had to coordinate child care with my wife and time off from work so I can be available via phone with the tenant and technician, and my tenant also had to coordinate time off of work, who is now frustrated with their living situation as my tenant after this. I also said no to all the other vendors that I was vetting who were trying to make time for me. So, after expressing my disappointment and frustration to one of their managers, he was also defensive and he believed his technician who lied about what happened saying that I had cussed at the technician (which I did not). Then, I was cussed at by the manager for being frustrated at the lack of punctuality and lying. It was an extremely unprofessional experience, waste of my time off of work, gave me no confidence to reschedule or book them, had a ripple effect to my tenant, and my workplace that I rescheduled everything for. I would pay 100% more than to receive this experience. ***Update - If you read the manager's response below, it sounds like a PR post. There's lots of "customer service" talk without actually validating the customer's experience. There is no consideration of my tenant's timestamp of the technician arriving (which was 10am). This is extremely frustrating for the tenant and me (the landlord), because it doesn't consider the customer's reality of how things happened. My tenant is not getting paid here for anything and their job is not on the line. What incentive does my tenant have to lie vs. the incentive that their technician has to lie? The technician has already lied about the appointment time. There is no apology for not giving a phone call update of the tardiness, the technician lying about the appointment time, the he said/she said miscommunication, or the cursing. We were able to set up an appointment for the next day. Chris came by while my husband was home and tried to unclog the drain and let us know it would be the $98 price. We were fine with that and he proceeded. Unfortunately our clog was due to our pipes corroding so Chris wasn't able to unclog the drain that day and didn't charge us and gave us a reasonable quote to replace our corroding pipes. We decided to move forward with the and scheduled an appointment for 2 days after. Chris came by with another person to work on replacing the drain. The entire process took from 9:30-1:30pm which included patching drywall. And now my bathroom sinks drain again! Josh was prompt, communicated on his arrival time and recommended actions with options. In our situation, Josh was unable to clear clear our clogged drain with a snake and Hydro jet due to the severity of the clog. Even though Josh spent close to three hours at our residence, he did not charge us anything because he stated that he wasn't able to accomplish it, which made me appreciate his integrity and honesty. Really happy with the work done by Chris and his coworker on my laundry drain line. They opened the wall neatly, replaced the old piping, and upgraded everything with a new 2" P-trap and cleanout. They tested the line afterward and made sure everything was leak-free. They also used a mini miller Picote to descale the existing 2" line, clearing out rust and buildup all the way to the main connection. The pipe looks great now. They arrived early, quickly diagnosed the issue, and thoroughly explained their recommendations. I had a serious kitchen clog that the typical snaking method couldn't resolve. They explained that in order to properly identify and fix the problem, hydro jetting was necessary--a process that uses high-pressure water to thoroughly clean the pipes. Since my home is older and still has the original cast iron pipes, there was significant buildup over the years that had reduced the pipe diameter. After clearing the blockage, they recommended descaling to smooth out the interior of the pipes. This should help prevent future clogs and provide a long-term solution.
