It is filled with tourists due to the connected hotel and proximity to the airport, so even on a Tuesday it felt packed in here. The layout feels almost like a labyrinth but there is a lot of signage on where to go. Most of the stores are ones you can find at most malls, but there are quite a bit of 'unique' stores as well. You've also got the Crayola experience, which is pretty large. While this mall wouldn't be my first choice to go to, it does do the trick if you're needing your fix of big name stores.

Last year we went and they had Christmas flamingos. They had more this year. They also passed out Christmas bags with Simon mall logo on them. I would be back for this event. My issue with The Florida Mall is that the A/C doesn't work well. It's a huge mall with tons of shops and tons of people walking around. They are so busy. We were looking for stores with the best A/C bc we couldn't really beat the heat here. Primark has the best A/C. Along with Armani Exchange, Ghirardelli bc of their chocolates, and The TNS Store. I wish I could have stayed longer but the lack of A/C made me want to leave. I very much loved the Xmas in July Event and Santa, Mrs. Claus, the elves, the photographer, and the other people working were so nice. The AC is sure lacking and this was the issue last year. Perhaps the big space, older mall and open ceiling exposing the sunshine sure doesn't help. This is a very popular mall. It could def be better here.

It has been there since I moved to Orlando, Florida back in 2001 and has seen businesses come and go and new businesses come in. Honestly, it is not a bad location with a lot of traffic going by it each and every day. There is a lot of parking available and it is relatively safe. My only complaint here is that none of the stores seem to have any permanency with the exception of the Wendy's and the Dunkin' (both of which are located in standalone buildings). All in all, a decent enough shopping plaza.

The food court has lots of options for good food, fast and not so fast too. Plenty of parking even though it can get crowded. I usually go there when I need to get a specific item. The place itself is clean, I liked that they're not the usually kiosks or sales people trying to sell you things, that's a plus for me when it comes to choosing a mall. I have some places that I like to go there for food, like the Cheesecake Factory and PF Changs. My daughter likes that there's a Claire's, and all the other Claire's around that we know are now closed. They have unique places when it comes to luxury brands, plenty of parking, but in peak season time can get difficult to find a parking close to the entrance. I go sometimes, and meet friends since it's near the touristic/universal studios area. They also have a big Apple store, that occasionally visit.

I like the Victoria's Secret shop here, comfy and affordable for the name brand. I remember coming here to the Nike shop to get work shoes years ago too. I've spent many summer days walking around the open air mall. Window shopping, shopping for school, then shopping for work. It's still a pastime with my family.

Waterford Towers, or as I call it "the Kohl's plaza" is situated directly across from Waterford…read moreTown Center on Alafaya Trail. I frequent a number of the shops and restaurants here. You've got major stores like Home Depot, Kohl's, and Michael's as well as a lot of smaller stores. Back in my tanning days I was at the South Beach tanning multiple times/week and have enjoyed many meals at Rice & Beans and Papa Lozzi's. Other stores/restaurants include a Panda Express, Bonchon, Chipotle, Keke's, a hot pot place, a nail salon, Nothing Bundt Cakes, a new Indian place, the Post Office, some resale shops, Smash burger and even a daycare. The plaza is huge with several other establishments, but there are also a lot of vacant storefronts. The main entrance closest to the 408 is kind of a nightmare as is that whole side of the plaza. I avoid that end just because it's such a pain in the butt to get out since the exit gets so backed up at times. I usually go out of my way and further down to turn right from an exit without a light or even to the far opposite end where the post office is because there is a light there. Good variety of stores/dining, but a pain to get in and out of. Don't forget to check there are shops behind what you see from the streets. That's where you'll find things like the resale shops and the cigar store. Those on the far back seem to struggle the most to stay afloat.
