It was so much fun being there with all the cult classic lovers singing and being dressed up. & then I came again by myself for breakfast and brunch to watch Beauty & the Beast. Breakfast was spectacular! Such great options. It was a buffet style. Tickets plus brunch are such good prices. The staff and bartender were so nice and seemed genuinely happy to be there! I can't wait to come back. Sucha great experience. The fact it's local and has been around since the 30's makes it even better.

This is a small park with great cheap seats, good eats and a lot of family fun. They do all the typical ballpark fun activities, kiss cams, games for kids and they even have a carousel for the kiddos! Of course, food and drink is a bit steep, but they do try and mitigate that with deals before the 5th inning! I tried the bananas foster last week and it was amazing! I would suggest sharing- it was huge! They have rotating food specials that are quite the delight. I will mention that they host United Soccer here as well, but I haven't been in attendance! It was a little confusing walking in, as we didn't buy tickets ahead of time and weren't told which gate was selling tickets (which meant getting in another line). Parking wasn't bad either. I like to go run intervals and run the stairs some mornings. The only problem is that it's pick and choose when it's opened. I've gone multiple times around 7am and it is still locked up. Some days it's opened at 6am. I guess it just depends on if the key holder wants to wake up or not? I have no idea. It's a great 400m track. Go run, go watch games, go get your fit on.

Gem of downtown Albuquerque, the Kimo theatre is home to Burlesque, live theater, comedy shows, and the silver screen. Yes. All of these things. I love when they do film festivals. Nights upon nights of old film noir and classics. And every February, Southwest Burlesque makes me want to quit my job and become a dancer. The Nutcracker every December. Ah, the memories. Literally, my only complaint is the seating. It's very old school. Which is fine, but those comfy new-fangled seats in the new theaters have me (and my tush) spoiled. Hint - restrooms are on the sides down a hallway that doesn't seem like it belongs to the building.

Mayor Berry had a real silver screen installed as well as new carpet to compliment the well preserved vintage space. The Kimo is a destination for all lovers of the arts. It is host to book readings, poetry, and movie showings. For tonight's event, we were treated to Buster Keaton's "The General" with the Alloy Orchestra playing the score live for just $0.50 per ticket with free water, popcorn, and cake. (Concessions typically not included in movie ticket pricing.) The movie was outstanding and the Alloy Orchestra was a once in a lifetime experience. The Kimo has so many of these incredible events that people need to know more about. I know our family will be attending more of them!

So....I'm originally from Texas and grew up going to the Houston Rodeo yearly. I've also seen bull…read morefighting in Central America. However, I've never been to a bull riding event, until now. Parking was $25. PBR was over two hours of relentless, thrilling bull riding action. Awesome music was blasting the entire event. Not sure if the guy was a clown or just someone to keep the energy level up, but he kept that energy pumped. He also has (had) great dance moves. Bulls are beautiful, ginormous and oh so fast. I realized that riding a bull with one hand while keeping the other hand off the bull and your body is an amazing display of bravery and athletic skill. Wow...8 seconds can feel like a long time. I was pleasantly surprised and the PBR really went beyond what I thought it would be. I had a blast watching the bull riders. Something new I learned: The strap underneath a bull is not tied around the bull's testicles like I've heard for my entire life. The rope is meant to motivate the bull to kick more with its back legs while bucking, which really puts a rider's skills to the test in staying on.

At first I did not have a very good experience with the admissions representative... with that being said I decided to try one more time because I was not going to let one bad experience stop me from getting the education that I want and need to become a nurse. I spoke with Fusha Scott and she is absolutely amazing! She has put in a number of hours for me (probably more hours than she should at this point) and has matched the work I have put in to make sure that I could start classes, when I wanted to start my classes. She is the most genuine kind hearted person. She works her a** off. You can tell she has a love for her job and has risen the bar on what to expect from admissions at any school! I have not been the easiest person to work with because of my situation, but her knowledge and persistence has helped me along the way. Thank you so much Fusha for everything.
