This non-profit is so close to my heart. They have shipped thousands & thousands of care packages to our war soldiers for many years. But whenever our community needs help... they are always there for them!! Thanks to all the donors and volunteers for donating items and their valuable times to help out. My son and I were invited to 2 baby showers within 2 months a part. Different people. Service by the employees were impeccable. They were all nice, friendly and helpful. All ladies and gentlemen were on top of things to make sure everything was up to par. You can have any type of events from baby shower to wedding, to birthdays, baptism, to engagement parties, holiday gatherings, bridal showers and more. You can also bring your own food. I don't know if they provide that for their guests.Venue visits are by appointment only!!. They are open for Private event rentals, accommodate up to 150 guests. They also do volunteer Services to schools, libraries, churches and hospitals. As mentioned earlier each package is different with their pricing. Depending on what you are interested in. The clothes are in almost new condition. Very cute, very cheap. You really have to have patience to look through the stuff though because it's not organized by sizes. I found a jacket in excellent condition for my husband here too that we would've spent at least $80 on for 1/4 of the price! Great selection. There are days that they sell at a percent off you just need to call and found out the day. Staff is nice. Pretty organized. No complaints.

The staff, the admin, the socio and emotional skills our kids are learning here is unmatched to any other program in the valley. They do snack time everyday, and when the kids are a little older (3-5) they teach them how to serve themselves water, and snack. From the beginning they teach the kids how to politely ask for more, be patient while waiting, and to thank the parents who bring in snack. It's a wonderful, nurturing environment that I would recommend 10 times over. And if you have a little one not quite ready for school (age wise) look at their hand and hand program for caregivers and little ones!

When I had kids myself, as soon as I could I signed up my son for Hand in Hand (18 mos old) with Mrs. Casey, and he is now in one of their TK classes as a 5 year old- meaning we have gone through 4 years and various classrooms since then. We are so excited to start H+H again in the fall with our daughter. Weekday encourages hands on play, creativity, art, nature, and all types of diversity just to name a few of our favorite things. We LOVE the outdoor play, and that Milo always has a change of clothes if mud kitchen gets wild. The school is SO welcome to parent involvement, and some of our favorite memories are of snack days where parents are welcome in to bring snack to share with the classroom. The few times I've had questions about my sons development or questions about what school to send him to for elementary, Debbie has been so thoughtful, caring, and takes the individual into account before giving her thoughts and recommendations. The teachers are deeply loving, so funny, great singers/dancers and Milo can't wait to go to school everyday. When I ask him what his favorite part of the day was, he always tells me "school!!" Followed quickly by "lunch bunch" which is the extended hours after the 9-12 regular day. He adores ALL the teachers and I love that he feels so loved there, with everyone knowing his name no matter who welcomes him at the gate. Another mom and I were discussing Weekday a few weeks ago and she said "listen, if I could I would keep him at Weekday until he goes off to college' and I totally agree. In a tough world, Weekday is THAT place that makes you feel so good leaving your kid in the best of hands.

The hardest thing for me not many can guide you or inform you the people to take you to temporary housing and then permanent housing. Majority of people are not aware of the process it is not instant and takes time for myself and my brother it's almost a year and finding out people discriminate on the homeless whether it's a racist issue or stereo types it is sad we need kindness forward to try to make a little impact of a smile and saying good morning no one is better than other but the true kindness of the heart is priceless.
