My parking is never an issue. The staff are so are not only attentive to the customers but the dogs too. The selection of beers is top notch with a variety of local brews. The indoor space provides ample space for rainy day pup play and the outdoor space is great for those three months out of the year we call summer. Indoors has a space for tiny dogs, but I'll be honest, they all tend to acclimate to the dog space. Highly recommend a reservation, even if you think it's not going to be busy. read more

Yessss! Fun times! You pay a little cover to enter and you need vet records by your second visit. The staff has consistently been so nice. My 14yo dog was crying while I went to the restroom and I watched from behind the glass as a staffer picked up my dog and bounced him gently on their shoulder as they monitored the play area, patting my dog's back like a baby. I could have melted. It can be pretty chaotic on a busy day, especially outside on the patio, but I think this place is a total gem if you come in with a chill attitude ready to have a beer and watch some dogs run around. read more

No signage as to where you can go with your dog and some employees are not polite when directing you. Also there are no accessible bathrooms if you come with your dog. I did not eat but the menu looked good. Nice selection of beer and seltzers etc. The patio was also quite nice and clean. Well attended by employees who know the regular pups. My advice: Come and have a beer and enjoy the pups but don't expect to stay long unless you have a bionic bladder! read more

We came early on a Saturday morning with our puppy. It wasn't very busy but did pick up. We were surprised to find out there is a fee for using the facility, apart from ordering food and drinks. I did not see this listed on the website. Our dog had a great time! All of the dogs that were there were very well behaved. They have a good beer and wine selection and typical bar food available. The floor is basically covered in dog fluids all day and while your tiny tot is cute, their clothes and hands are now officially a bio hazard after falling and rolling around. Running behind a waddling toddler being kissed and pummeled by dogs saying, "they just LOVE dogs" is not an agreement that dogs love babies. read more

This is my new favorite way to spend a chilly Saturday! This was my second visit & I cannot wait to go back. Maui, my 2-year old golden labradoodle, had the best time & met so many new friends. I hosted her birthday party here, making a reservation weeks in advance. It was so nice to have the ease of checking in on a busy day knowing there would be space for Maui & her 3 puppy friends to play! Absolutely loved the wide selection of drinks - and that kids are allowed! We had a 14-year old with us and he had the best time! The mini corn dogs were phenomenal- the pupcorn chicken (for humans) was a little salty but still a good snack. Finally, every single staff member was kind, welcoming & so attentive to the pups! The concept of this place is great but the execution is poor. In total we pent almost $70 for a one day pass, 1 appetizer, 1 sandwich and 3 glasses (small) of wine in plastic cups. That doesn't include parking either which was confusing. Clumsy and confusing "check-in" process that took nearly 10 minutes. Stand in line food ordering was a wonky process and then try to maneuver through doors, gates, dogs and people to get back to the play area with hands full of food/drinks - frustrating. If you can successfully get back to the play area without dropping and spilling the food order you worked so hard to transport, you're left to fend for yourself in finding a place at a counter top to set your food down where you can try and enjoy it - standing up. No stools or chairs. We loved the idea of this place but next time we'll drop our furry friend at daycare for a few hours while we grab a bite and brew at any number of great places in town while spending much less and all of us enjoying our afternoon much more. read more

I'm so glad to have a place like this with the sub zero temperatures! My 6 month lab puppy had so much fun, she didn't want to leave after our 90 minutes of play time. All the dogs we encountered were very nice. Easy to socially distance and keep an eye on your dog. Staff did a good job and were very nice to my dog. My Bloody Mary was a little expensive for the size, I'd probably go with a beer next time. (Didn't try the food, will go again and report back!) You also don't have to get food and beverage, but it's a nice treat while you'd dog enjoys themself! My dog can't wait to go back! read more

Our dog's favorite place! We only really come when it's too cold/windy/rainy outside to spend time outside with the dog. When we brought him here for the first time last winter, he was timid and didn't know how to play. With repeated trips, he got more comfortable and confident, and is now happy running around with the pack of dogs. The staff here are top-notch, keeping the dogs safe and the area clean. There is a great selection of beers, ciders, seltzers, and wine, and the food is very good too. We're excited to be adding this back into our routine now that it's cold again! read more

Went here with friends and two dogs a few weeks back. The indoor play place was clean and spacious, and the outdoor space had plenty of great sitting areas (and water dishes for the pups), and we appreciated their drink selection. The attendants walking around made me feel a lot better about having our dog off leash, and everyone was highly attentive to their own pets when the occasional scuffle broke out. Concept was decent, but execution was a fail. Great check-in staff, very friendly. We never got to the food because the play area was so small there was dog drama immediately. 'Ruffaree's do their best to break it up, but with no dedicated areas for large dogs they are basically running around frantically ejecting any dogs in a skirmish. My lab got a '5 and a game' ejection in about 15 min. for being the 5th dog in a scrum. It was crazy. The space is just too small and we were told it was a quiet day! Picture 50 dogs, from corgi to neufi in a two-car garage with one play toy in the middle. The outdoor relief space is incredibly inadequate - 10'x30' paved/dirt alleyway. I hope they make it long enough to expand and provide sep areas and a better outdoor space. We'll watch, but likely won't go back. read more

Took one of my greyhounds to the re-opening of this indoor dog park. It is awesome and well worth the drive for us to get there. The space is huge with plenty of room for big and little dogs alike to romp around (oh and plenty of room for their owners to spread out or Grouo up as desired as well). The staff are friendly and you can tell the place is run with dogs and their owners in mind. I also had the Elvis French toast and a La Donna Fria while I was there and the service was fast! My dog didn't have to wait for me long to come back with a delicious brunch. I purchased a 5-day pass for both my dogs and look forward to our next visit! read more

I came with a friend last night to check the place out before bringing my own dog and I will be back! What a fun concept and the workers were great, especially Amy who answered all my questions and so personable. She was bartending but would come behind the bar occasionally to interact with the humans and their dogs. She is a lot of fun! Food is great as well! Big fan of the lettuce wraps. I'm so thrilled that we finally have Unleashed Hounds & Hops in our city! It's so wonderful having an indoor dog park (that also serves local beers & snacks!) for the cold months & for mud season. This place was great for what it is--not a lot of room indoors but still better than some of the outdoor Minneapolis dog parks that I paid an off leash permit for. I came on a Sunday evening--there were about 20 or so dogs playing. Owners were standing around but I didn't feel like they were in the way. The Ruffarees were great--they were attentive and re-directed the pups by clapping or or with a squeaky toy when the energy level got a little too high. Owners sucked at picking up after their dogs so the Ruffarees were picking up the poop and mopping up after them--Tip the hell out of those people, they deserve it! I got the Alpha Dog with tots and a beer. The food was great! And I liked the wine and beer options they had. If it wasn't for my anti-social dog that sat in the corner and shook while all the other pups played, we would be back in a heartbeat. Can't wait to come back in the spring when the outdoor are is open. read more

My boyfriend and I took my dog here for the first time and thought it was great! The drinks were good. I didn't try the food. The "rufferees" were so great! You can tell these employees aren't just here because it's a job but they actually love dogs! I have been coming to this place for a while but not sure I'll be back. A staff member was very rude to me and my dog. I felt singled out. She came up to me more than once to inform me my dog was barking excessively. She said people might complain. First of my dog was not barking any more than the other 50 or so dogs there. I had a party of 7 people with me who can vouch for my dogs behavior. Also, it's an indoor dog park. Dogs bark! There were several dogs barking more than mine. Let dogs be dogs. If you are going to single out one dog over others that are behaving aggressively and barking more, that's poor treatment. I have never felt so disrespected and hurt. How can you have an indoor dog park with rules about how much noise a dog can make. A person doesn't choose a place like this when they want a quiet experience. I'm not sure I'll be back and I can assure you that the others in my party felt the same way. read more

I brought my two year old Border Collie Mix today. We visited for two hours. Everything went fine until my dog, (whose instinct is to herd other dogs), went up and barked at two dogs who were playing and a (VERY uptight man) pushed my dog aside with his foot!! I said to him, "My dog is NOT hurting your dog, he's only barking." He responded with, "I have every right to keep your dog away from mine." I told him, "He's a herding dog." He said very rudely, "Yes I'm very aware of that." I simply walked away and talked to an employee who was very nice and said this type of thing does happen here and said, what he did was not ok and she would be happy to speak to him. I declined, but the whole thing was super upsetting. We want to come back. My dog had SO much fun! And I don't think I stopped smiling and laughing until this rude person went off on me. The dogs are all fine. It's the dog owners who you have to watch out for. read more
