So after having to let my hair grow for over 3 months from the last butcher, I have found my guy! Donnie took time to not only get to know me but inquire into my style, shape and needs of my hair and beard. He has a new permanent customer in me! Great vibe and good music playing, although parking is tight it's worth the scheduled appointment. Can't say enough how excited I am about this place and my hair and beard cut!

One appointment was at 11 and the other at 1130 with 2 different barbers because thats what booksy allowed. My sister gets there right before their appointment. Only to find out that the 11am barber is not there. My sister is told he would be there at 1115 because thats what time he says the appointment is for but he arrives at 1130. The appointment was in fact for 11am as i sent a screen. He gets there but doesnt take my son. He takes someone else. My son gets in the chair at 1230ish. He's already over the whole thing. Whole time the barber for the 1130 kid is done after 45 mins and willing to take the first kid. The other barber insists on cutting my sons hair so my sister gives him another chance. When I say this man was playing in my sons hair Im not kidding. Nearly 2 hours later and my sister has already asked him to stop cutting his hair as she can see that my son is over the whole thing. But he refuses to stop. I called my sister and tell her to tell the barber to leave my son alone at this point. My son is 5 and he turns to the barber and says something along the lines of "this is the last time you cut my hair". Because why are you taking so long to cut hair? Meanwhile the first barber is apologizing to my sister for his coworker. Of course my sister pays for the half done crooked hair cut because he did provide a service that was horrible. Yes, i would recommend the business because I cannot base it off of ONE horrible barber. But I would not recommend booking with Sha Ron. Very unprofessional, rude and pays more attention to the music he wants to play and the calls that are coming through on his phone than cutting hair. If you prefer to not cut a kids hair then please just say that and take it off of your provided services. Thank you to Josh for doing a fantastic job on my sons first hair cut and keeping him entertained through that 3hr ordeal. Also, i appreciate you for offering to fix my sons hair.

This is my go 2, favorite barber shop. I drive from Federal way to this place because it's worth…read morethe drive. Tony is the barber there, and I believe his wife does the Mani pedi services. I've been coming here for about 5 years and by far the best customer service and hair cut I've received. For the price of what he charges, he also gives this amazing shampoo/head massage towards the end of his cut. He uses this minty eucalyptus and rubs a little but on your face, so once he finishes you get up feeling so awake and refreshed. The place is built in his garage so it is apart of his home but it does not seem like it would be a garage space when you go into this place. He has some good tunes and a wonderful ambiance while your waiting or getting your haircut. Walk-ins are usually welcome but since it is just him, I'd suggest calling in and setting an appointment with him, so you don't have to sit and wait. Tony is a perfectionist so he does his absolute best to cut your hair the way you want it. That is a very good trait to have as a barber. 5 stars.

The posted price chart clearly showed $20 for a haircut and $25 for a special haircut. I was not told before the haircut that I would be charged the higher price. Only after she had already finished did she announce that I owed $25 because my hair was long. Charging a customer more after the service is completed, without clearly explaining and agreeing to the price beforehand, feels dishonest and incredibly unprofessional. The haircut itself was just as frustrating. I clearly explained that I wanted the sides buzzed skintight, the top trimmed, and the hair properly blended near the top. Instead of listening to the customer paying her, she argued that it was too short and initially refused to cut it the way I requested. I had to tell her again to shorten it, and she still only trimmed off a little more rather than giving me what I had clearly asked for. To make matters worse, she spent much of the appointment chatting with her friends instead of concentrating on my haircut. I felt like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Her attention was divided, my instructions were dismissed, and the final result was not what I requested. This shop failed at the most basic parts of running a professional business: clearly stating the price, listening to the customer, paying attention during the service, and delivering the haircut that was requested. I left feeling ignored, overcharged, disrespected, and completely dissatisfied. This was not a minor misunderstanding. It was a terrible customer-service experience from beginning to end. I regret walking through the door, and Sun's Barber Shop will never receive another dollar from me.
